The location is good. The hotel staff are very helpful and will inform you of all the information. The welcome afternoon tea is great. One drink per person and a large portion of small cakes. It is really excellent. Highly recommend.... The room is large and clean. The sauna equipment is old, the pool is a little dirty, the spa is broken, and the oven and steam room are not open. It would be better if it could be tidied up a little! The swimming pool is large and small, and the spa water is not deep. The spa is great for adults and children to play in, and the scenery is beautiful. Although the breakfast is not very rich, it has everything you need. It even provides beef soup, which is a plus because it is not available during renovations. Concert, looking forward to staying again after renovations to experience a different holiday atmosphere
The room cannot be compared with the city, but it is OK and clean. The location is more difficult to find, especially at night. It is best to drive to the day. The boss is very good, the service is not bad, it is still a little distance from Alishan!
The village is a place for leisure and vacation with pool table, sports equipment and swimming pool.
There is a parking lot in the village and parking is very convenient.
The European suite design, the bathroom and toilet are separated, and it feels more comfortable. The bed is spacious and comfortable, but the toilet is not an exempt toilet, and it feels a little weak. TV only provides digital TV, there should be room for improvement. Breakfast is acceptable in the motel shopping mode.

The location of the homestay is near the fish market, and you can go to the market to eat fresh seafood in a 5-minute drive! The rooms are clean and tidy and the equipment is great. It is very comfortable to live in. Recommend! The owner of the homestay is very kind and willing to share any questions he asks. There is an open space next to which you can park, so you don’t have to worry about driving.
The equipment is a bit old, and children living in a camper are more novel. In summer, you can play in the pool to cool off the heat. The barbecue ingredients are sufficient. It is recommended to bring more abundant ingredients. There must be anti-mosquito measures. Family travel is okay as a whole.
Convenient accommodation for business trips, parking lot, 7-11 next to it is very convenient, breakfast is acceptable, simple to fill your stomach, but the room has a damp smell, which may let the air flow ㄧ
The Dragon Boat Festival holiday travel, because the car travel that stayed the night before was very big and there were two big bathtubs, the price was more favorable than this, so it was compared.
The first time I came to Shumei, the room type we lived in was simple, but the indoor lighting was bright and it felt good. But only the shower has no bathtub to take a bath ⋯
I don't know why the mobile phone signal here is very poor, and the WiFi message in the room is also very slow.
There are movies to watch on TV, and it rained heavily after check-in. It was not bad to watch two movies.
The location is directly opposite the south courtyard of the Forbidden City. There is a 7-11 downstairs, and there are two restaurants. It is very convenient for dining and shopping. There are claw machines, basketball machines, and game consoles in the 2f playroom. There are water dispensers and baby bottles in the corridor. Disinfection machine, what is not ideal is that the corridor in the room is very narrow, the distance between the toilet and the shower room sliding door is very close, basically it is difficult for boys to sit upright, and the sound insulation of the room is very poor.

Excellent
GGuest UserThis was really the best home stay experience we ever had! The owners are super kind. Upon arrival, they warmly welcomed us in and gave us delicious tea, apple, snacks, and their good company. The room itself had amazing views over the mountains, tea plants, and sakura. The room was really big, equipped with a good shower and comfortable beds. We even got a free room upgrade and tasty breakfast with fresh fruits. Next morning we were taken on a tour over the Tea Plantation and the owner told us not only about the process but could give us information on all the other plants like coffee plants, flowers, etc. We really hope we can stay here in the future again.
GGuest UserStaffs were service-minded and very helpful. Good location for sightseeing walking routes. The provded room’s view was not bad allthough the cheapest room option - can see cherry blossoms a bit. Private cars are not allowed to rreach the hotel and hotel shuttles are required. Expensive when considering the overall hotel standard.
GGuest UserVery good ambience, nice scenery.
Well organised.
We stayed in Lilac, facing mountain view.
Toilet big. Perhaps can have a basket to hold the hair dryer besides toilet plug.
.
Breakfast is good. Besides toast, they serve each occupant a set tray of baked chicken with veg and fruits. They also provide Alishan tea variety to let occupants sample Alishan tea at breakfast. Perhaps can put in room as well. Good marketing for Alishan tea.
Free flow of hot and cold water just outside room at the community hall. So save you the trouble to boil water. Thermo flask and lukewarm water also provided in the room.
MMelvin Ryan TanThis is probably the most established hotel in Fenqihu, when you’re on the way to Alishan, either as a pitstop to get bento lunch or as an overnight stay.
The facilities are very old and dated (I think maybe 90s renovated?), I stayed in the Japanese inspired room so it was on a tatami and low tables. There’s even a solo Japanese tub for you to soak in. All good.
I appreciate the multiple wifi names as the property is quite sparse so the wifi signal is bound to be terrible. With multiple wifi spots with the same password, it’s easy to connect and have good wifi.
I don’t like that the aircon is non-existent that there’s a fan. There’s a dehumidifier because the room is very humid from the bathroom.
I think a lot of renovations need to happen to make this place more desirable.
The 3 walking tours are amazing, the guide is so informative and helpful, she takes really good Instagram content! She only conducts the tour in mandarin so take note.
KKenThe location of this hotel is great. It is a small walking distance to the train station to catch sun rise. If you are driving to Alisan, you will need to park near the visitor center and take a shuttle bus to the hotel. You may need to note on the last bus from visitor center to hotel else you need to walk quite a distance into the hotel. There is no restaurant in the hotel so you need to settle your meals outside of the hotel.
GGuest UserIf you are not engaging private transportation to hostel & using public bus then alight at main road. Do call in advance to get staff to pick at bus stop or else will be a long 1.5KM walk & not recommended to walk during dark or rainy day. The room are great if you stay lower floor. There no lift so all are by stairs. I stay at level3 with big luggage so imagine the efforts to bring up & down. Dinner option only hotpot & lucky the meal are great. The cafe within hostel are good so do try. Sunrise spot are good & easy to reach but depend on weather. do go early for good spot to sit down & wait since hostel Will always having big tour bus staying.
PPui SanLocated in the middle of Alishan, it is very convenient to go up and down the mountain. There is a 7-11 nearby, which is convenient for supplies. I ate at the hotel restaurant for two nights and used freshly picked ingredients to cook. It was great.
GGuest UserThe B&B is only a 5-minute uphill walk from the bus station, which is great for a solo traveler like me on the go using public transportation. The short climb is worth it when you consider the spectacular views of sunrise and sunset you get at the venue. Checking in is simple and smooth. The host was also kind enough to greet me at the bus. The room I booked is relatively small but the double-size futon bed is firm and has given me 3 nights if comfortable rest. There is no table but the wall-side low counter and stool allows me to have my takeout meal. The bathroom is functional and clean. The only downside is the noise I feel are the noise made by other international travellers (the German and English speakers during my stay 12/27-12/29) who have shown no consideration for other guests, but earplugs allow me to drown it out when I sleep. The buffet-style breakfast is all delicious and plentiful. The owner himself makes fresh coffee from his Nespresso for you. For dinner, I have bought very affordable local takeout noodle stew at a stall near the bus stop, and there is also a convenience store where I could buy food for my next-day mountain hike. The best and key part of the stay has been the photo-taking opportunities at sunrise and sunset, not forgetting the cats in their “cat cafe” outside the restaurant. Overall, for the low price, it is of excellent value.
GGuest UserGood sized and clean room located near the main tourist area.
Seems like this hotel has come under the administration of the next door hotel so had to go next door for the reception.
Not too enthused by the high bathtub that might pose a slipping hazard for less agile visitors who are trying to get in to use the shower.
WWillem Simon PetrusNever seen such a weird hotel in my life for this price. I had already low expectations because of the reviews i read. But when checking in to the room we saw how small the room was. Even the bathroom with the bathtub was like children size. There were leftover clumps of hair on the floor and the floor was partly still wet. On the pillow were also leftover hairs, which felt really disgusting.
The room has a window which you can open, but the funny thing is that it doesnt open into the outside air. It opens into a alleyway which you cant enter. They build a new wall for the rooms 2 meters away from the outside wall of the building. I dont know what happened here, but it felt really strange. The bed itself was comfortable, and the location was perfect.
We received 2 coupons for the breakfast, but we didn’t knew we had to walk to other side of town to a restaurant. Also a bit weird in my opinion, but not the biggest problem. We watched the sunset and went up by train on the mountain. And we hiked back into town to the restaurant.
Long story short, my low expectations were right and it is definitely not worth 80 euro for a night. Please do a better job. Because you are located in a touristy place doesnt mean you can ask the same amount as every hotel in the area for a shid room!
Unless you really want to see the sunset and are traveling on a budget like me. This is the cheapest option and i guess alright for 1 night. But in comparison to the price, this hotel should be ashamed of themselves!
