I can't promise I'll keep it short, but I'll keep it simple. It's the absolute best hotel in Chongqing. Period. There's not much to say other than it's perfect. You're going to pay a premium price, but that's usually how life works, e.g. the fastest cars will cost the most money, luxury hotels will come at a luxury price. Can you find value at lower prices, for sure, but if you can afford the price then the quality of the value you willl receive is unmatched. It's in a wonderful location, next to the river, and walking distance to tourist attractions such as hongyadong, and there is even a large shopping mall within the building. My room was spacious yet cozy, and high up with some phenomenal views. The staff was very kind to me, and spoke English well, which was wonderful because my Chinese is not good to say the least. They even gave me a sick (very cool) Chongqing guidebook with great pictures, and descriptions about varies things within the city. Breakfast was lovely, nice options of Chinese and Western food, I was even surprised they had jalapeno Tabasco sauce, which was a nice touch for my American taste buds. I didn't have an opportunity to try out the pool or the gym, but they both looked nice. If you're planning on staying at a five star hotel in Chongqing then this should be your first choice, I plan to return to Chongqing, and of course this will be where I stay.
