Siena Motor Lodge is conveniently located in the popular Wanganui area. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We stayed here for 4 nights as were attending the Colgate games. The room we had was a good size, nice new paint job.and had comfy beds; room had basic ammenities that you would expect and the nightly price was reasonable. The hotel is located close to town and there are lots of eateries and shops nearby. A few issues: there is no aircon and the nights were really humid, we had to open the sliding door all night to let in air. Bathroom shower needed a good clean as there was crime build up in corner of the shower. Breakfast was a let down, it came free with room but I chose not to eat it after day 1, stale croissants, overcooked eggs and coffee not good. If issues are addressed it will improve things a lot.

My wife and I spent 3 enjoyable days in Wanganui staying at the Aotea Motor Lodge. I booked direct with the motel and the owners were friendly and helpful. On arrival, the owners were friendly and again helpful. We were at the very back of the motel and it was very quiet. The heat pump was very efficient and quiet. The bonus for us was the huge spa bath which we used every night. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The unit was spotlessly clean and the furniture relatively modern. Overall, a great motel and highly recommended.

Accommodation in a quiet alley a 10-minute walk from Whanganui city centre. The motel hosts were very friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean, making it great for staying with family. Recommended accommodation if you travel to Whanganui!

Very good riverside hotel, beautiful scenery, friendly owner, bathroom is recommended to install a retractable shower head.

I had the privilege to stay for a couple of night at the Riverview motel and it was a fantastic service by Dave (David). He was very professional and I can tell he's a people person and proud to serve anyone that walk into his office. Fortunately for me David upgrade me into a big room with a king size bed and spaces for one person. I enjoy my two nights staying there and would recommend this motel to anyone visiting Whanganui.
