This was our third time staying at the hotel Gran Europe, and our third review. Previously stayed in 2014 and 2016. The hotel is under different ownership/management since then. We always loved this relatively small hotel which has a great location on the promenade and seafront. We had two rooms this time, as I joined my wife and children halfway through their three week stay and this gave us more room and comfort than squeezing into one room. Saying that they rooms are a good size with Two large double beds. Rooms are clean and refurbished with good size modern bathroom and a hallway that has plenty of storage. A Good feature is that the halway has both the door to the access corridor and a door to the bedroom, which means the bedroom is shielded from corridor noise at night when both doors are closed. Corridors also are carpeted so we heard no noise at all of the usual footsteps or suitcases being wheeled along at all times of day/night. This was a bonus for us as we are light sleepers. Overall the hotel though is a quiet and peaceful space. The restaurant and bar are excellent with good food and drink available. Plenty of choice and no issues with flies or hygiene. The staff in restaurant and bar are wonderful as are all hotel staff, including reception and cleaning staff. Looking back on our previous review from 2016 we can say our few negative experiences have all been eliminated and we have no faults this time. There were a few smokers around but far less than we saw in 2016. The hotel is dog friendly and it was no problem for us to see dogs being walked around, in corridors and reception but dogs were not present by the pool or allowed in the bar and restaurant. Our children are teens now so didn’t partake in mini disco or kids club, but can say we noticed these to be much improved since 2016. The beach is always fabulous, can’t fault it. Highly recommend this hotel, but not for party animals as it is quiet and peaceful and a lot of elder people stay here. One thing to note. Airport Taxi transfers are expensive here. £100euro or more each way. I discovered that the Uber app will give you public transport options for bus/train if you arrive at a suitable time. My flight landed at 6pm and I then used a bus and train from Barcelona airport and walked down to the hotel from the station, took about 2 hours and cost me less than 8 euro. Was at hotel for dinner. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Excellent.

Score from 1 to 10 Location. 6 Located at 100 mt from the beach but eye with the sand pins the first piece there are plants that pinch as they don't make access comfortable for example with wooden sticks to approach the water. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and the hotel is very comfortable. Restaurante.4 Low quality of food with very little outfit mainly between weeks , rise from level a pelin weekend but not much more than to say.It would qualify with enough shaped. Rooms. 2 We were given a double room on the 3 floor where the cleaning shines for its absence, there was a finger of powder across all places and of course the state of the broken parquet in bad state all the assemblies open, and ground without barrier, also comment that there was an edo in the unsupportable room which subsana ventilating or rather leaves door terrace open 24 hours with the resulting cold pass. I put transparent seal in the air grids and paled quite The problem. The sawn header with blood spots ,go get to know when they washed it for the last time. I used to carry the sawn game and stick for emergency as it is. And the bathroom prefer not to comment see photos. I am not protesting and I didn't do it because I would have been to go home and stayed for the woman. I admit that the very cheap price 3 days 2 people € 200 full pension is great, but to take this is the truth is that it is better to pay more ,I pick another last year in Benidorm for € 30 more and the same dates and it was amazing.

No pongo pésimo porque me sabe mal por las personas que trabajan ahí. Pero la dirección de este lugar debería plante**** enfocar el negocio de otra manera. Pagué 125 € por una noche, entiendo que sea temporada alta, acepto que la habitación no sea perfecta, que haya hormigas en la terraza, que haya colillas en las jardineras, acepto que se haya escapado algún pelo en las sábanas, que haya mosquitos en el techo, que las cortinas estén rotas y manchadas.. pero no acepto que no se haya fregado el suelo, que la colcha tenga manchas de pintalabios, y que el baño no esté desinfectado, había manchas en el wc, se veía que se habia pasado rápido, no olía a limpio. Se veía que faltaba personal, de limpieza por supuesto, por la tarde no había nadie, y en la hora del desayuno, las chicas iban a tope y hacía mucha calor en el comedor. La recepcionista nos propuso limpiar ella misma la habitación, a lo que le dijimos que no y nos ofrecieron beber algo en el bar para compensar. No fue una experiencia agradable para nada.
