Conrad Hotels in Dalian

I booked this hotel a week before the Mid-Autumn Festival as a last-minute decision. I was a bit hesitant because the online reviews were mixed, but my actual stay was incredibly comfortable. Our butler, Maggie, called me a day in advance to ask about my preferences. Due to a mistake on my part, I accidentally canceled my Deluxe Sea View room and booked an Executive Room instead. When Maggie found out, she proactively helped me upgrade to an Executive Sea View room, which I really appreciated! Every day of our stay, Maggie would message me on WeChat to check on our experience, proactively asking if I needed to change the bedding or replenish any amenities, and she ensured all my requests were met. Considering she must have many other guests to attend to, I really appreciate her hard work. Now for the other positives. Firstly, the location is great. It's a 10-minute walk to Donggang Music Fountain Plaza and a 10-minute drive to Oriental Water City. There are several popular restaurants near Oriental Water City, such as Xiding, Weil, and Xianshengsheng. Sanmu and Yingmu Qianhe are also less than a 10-minute drive away. Secondly, the sea view and breakfast were excellent. My room had a harbor sea view, which was very quiet at night. The executive breakfast on the 38th floor offered a fountain plaza sea view. Although the 38th-floor restaurant is a bit small, the ambiance and taste were exactly to my liking. I especially recommend the noodles and omelets – so delicious! Thirdly, a nice touch is that you can have food deliveries sent to the front desk concierge, and a staff member will bring them to your room. Fourthly, the bath products smell amazing and are wonderful to use! I absolutely loved them! If I had to mention a downside, it would be that the Wi-Fi was a bit unreliable. I had to contact the butler to send someone to fix it and to improve the bandwidth speed. However, overall, these minor issues don't overshadow the positives; it was a truly excellent stay.
