5-Star Hotels in Dalian

The overall stay exceeded our expectations! The environment was quiet and elegant, and the garden-style hot spring area was meticulously maintained. The hot spring water was natural and genuine, warm and soothing. After a soak, I felt completely relaxed, and all the fatigue from my journey vanished. The room was clean and spacious, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the private hot spring tub offered great privacy, which my child absolutely loved. The staff were warm, polite, and provided attentive and thoughtful service. The facilities were comprehensive. This place is perfect for both family trips and relaxing getaways. It offers great value for money, and I'll definitely choose it again for my next trip. Highly recommended!

The hotel's exterior is magnificent, like a castle. I booked a sea view room, and the ocean view from the window was beautiful. Even though it's by the sea, the room was surprisingly dry; my swimsuit dried completely within a day. I was a bit anxious after reading reviews about long queues for breakfast, but when I got there, I found that before 8 AM, there's usually no queue. Plus, staff members directly seat you and place a reserved sign, which is a nice touch. In some hotels, even if there's no queue when it's busy, not finding a seat and having to wander around with your plate is even more awkward. Now for the good parts, there are two downsides I hope the hotel can improve. First, the hotel's Chinese restaurant is really expensive, and there's a service charge, but the taste and service were truly underwhelming. I had originally planned to just eat at the hotel every day, but after one meal, I realized it didn't even meet expectations for taste or value for money – it failed on all three counts. Secondly, for a hotel at this price point, charging for a can of Coke and a bottle of juice in the mini-fridge seems unnecessary. Many five-star hotels even offer a full selection of expensive drinks for free, along with complimentary fruit and snacks, but here they charge extra, which comes across as a bit petty.

We arrived quite late, and the room type we booked was no longer available. They gave us a complimentary upgrade to an executive suite, which exceeded our expectations. The sea view was absolutely stunning! The room was clean and the service was attentive; anything we needed was delivered promptly. Traveling with a baby, we appreciated the kids' shower gel and toothbrushes, and there's also a children's play area. They even provided a high chair in the room. Highly recommend for families with children.

I always stayed at this hotel for my business trips. This time, I brought my child and didn't hesitate to choose it again. It's a serviced apartment, and the room is huge. It comes with a washing machine and all the kitchen utensils you could need. The living room is super spacious, making it very convenient for working or doing homework, and my child loved it. Downstairs, there's also a billiard room, swimming pool, gym, and a kids' play area. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful; they're enthusiastic and patient and always resolve any issues promptly. Highly recommended – I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit.

Highly recommended! Very comfortable for family trips with children. The location is excellent, right next to Exit 4 through the back door. In the evenings, there's live music indoors and a band outdoors. You can enjoy the lively atmosphere from the balcony, and it's vibrant but not noisy. The in-room amenities are quite thoughtful. The tissue brand offers great value for money – soft and dust-free. The air freshener has a pleasant, non-irritating scent, showing careful consideration in procurement. Overall, there are no significant downsides, except for the foot pedal on the bathroom trash can, which is a bit stiff. Upgrading to a better model would be ideal, but it didn't really impact our stay. Additionally, the front desk staff, both men and women, were very diligent and responsible, especially Chow Pak Ho. Since we arrived early in the morning, he promptly arranged our check-in and upgraded our room as soon as a vacant one became available. We are very grateful. Our child had a wonderful time and gained a lot. We plan to come back next summer with friends and their family. We hope the standards are maintained and even improved upon!

My stay at New World Dalian Hotel was excellent, and what impressed me most was the thoughtful and attentive service. The lobby staff would proactively greet guests, and the bellhops were quick to help with luggage, creating a warm feeling right from the moment I walked in. The front desk was efficient, and the duty manager was incredibly friendly, promptly addressing any issues. The hotel's location is superb, being very close to Zhongshan Square, Donggang, and the Venetian Water City, making it convenient for getting around and sightseeing. The room facilities were well-maintained, and the overall stay was comfortable. With solid amenities and, more importantly, consistently warm service, this hotel is suitable for both business trips and leisure vacations. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Dalian. Highly recommended.

How to describe it? We checked in a bit early, and the front desk staff was so welcoming and generous. They gave us a quiet room, and when they heard we were there for a concert, they specifically assigned us a room facing the stadium. That small detail really touched us! We'll definitely come back next time. It's only a 500-meter walk to the stadium, the area is very safe, and you can order amenities from Trip.com to be delivered – the hotel staff will remind you and even bring them to your room! Extremely satisfied, felt right at home!

Jennie provided excellent service, and check-in was quick and efficient. The hotel is in the city center, and our room overlooked Dalian Labor Park, making getting around very convenient. The front desk even upgraded us to a deluxe suite for free, which was absolutely wonderful. We were extremely satisfied. It definitely improved our impression of Dalian.

This veteran five-star hotel lives up to its reputation. While the decor might be a bit classic, the hardware clearly reflects a high standard from its time. The room was incredibly spacious, and the bathroom was also huge. The shower instructions for both the overhead and handheld showerheads were a thoughtful touch; guests didn't have to risk getting sprayed while blindly trying them out, which is better than many other hotels. The service was also top-notch. As soon as you entered the front desk's line of sight, you were met with warm smiles and friendly greetings. During check-in, the staff member offered very helpful suggestions for sightseeing in Dalian. What was pleasantly surprising was how they used geographical analogies based on the guest's hometown. Since we were from Chengdu, the handsome waiter who served us said, 'Lushun and Dalian city are like Jianyang and Chengdu city.' Such a vivid and intuitive comparison is more effective than ten explanations. Their professionalism was truly outstanding, instantly earning our full appreciation – definitely worth a thumbs up! The room package we booked also included afternoon tea and dinner for two days. Although we didn't use them even once, it gave a great impression: generous and not stingy. We had breakfast, which was included in the room, for two days, and the variety was incredibly rich – highly commendable! The only regret was that the room price increased on the third day when we extended our stay due to the Mid-Autumn Festival, and although the room type was upgraded, breakfast was no longer included. The hotel's location is excellent. Exiting Dalian Youhao Square Metro Station (C2), you can see the hotel building right away, just 20 meters away. It's very convenient when carrying luggage, highlighting the advantages of an established five-star hotel. It's also easy to get to Zhongshan Square, Zhenghuangqi, and Tiantian Yugang from the hotel. Choosing InterContinental for this trip to Dalian was a wise decision! 😃

An established five-star hotel with an excellent and convenient location. Parking is available both above ground and underground; the underground can be a bit chaotic but still accessible. The lobby is on the eighth floor, smells wonderful, and feels bright and distinctive. Changing elevators is a minor inconvenience. The rooms are a bit dated and not very large, especially the bathroom where you have to shower in the tub – understandable given how difficult renovations can be. The windows don't open for ventilation, which isn't ideal. The swimming pool is decent, a 20-meter pool, so it's good for a workout. Breakfast is nice with a decent variety and many made-to-order options. Overall, the value for money is pretty good. If you don't have extremely high expectations for the bathroom, rooms, and facilities, it's still a good option, as it's one of Dalian's oldest five-star hotels and still retains its charm. I'd recommend staying here.
