ZhuoerminminOur first stop in Dalian was this Holiday Inn, and it was an excellent experience. Our flight was delayed, and we didn't arrive until the early hours of the morning, but the staff member in black was incredibly attentive. Despite the late hour, they patiently helped us with check-in, explained all the facilities, and even offered to carry our luggage to the room. We were a family of three, and even though our room originally included breakfast for two, the hotel kindly added a third complimentary breakfast every day, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was clean and tidy, the hotel grounds were spacious, and it was convenient to get to the beach. As an international chain, Holiday Inn consistently delivers on quality, and I highly recommend it.

Guest UserFirst off, I noted that I was traveling with a child, yet we were assigned a connecting room, and we could hear every word spoken by the neighbors at night. Secondly, the room facilities were subpar. The hairdryer must have been ancient; I'm not asking for a Dyson, but couldn't they at least get a decent Chinese brand? The breakfast menu was exactly the same for all three days. The only freshly made items were potstickers and noodles. They could only cook four bowls of noodles at a time, and for potstickers, you were limited to two per person per turn. Every morning, if you wanted the freshly made items, you had to stand in line for at least ten minutes, holding your plate like a beggar, just to get a measly two potstickers. There was no flexibility either; since I was with my child, I had to make my child queue with me to get their share, otherwise, they wouldn't give even one extra. And honestly, the potstickers weren't even good; we only ate them because everything else was worse. The only thing I want to praise is a girl with glasses at the lobby bar. She was very enthusiastic, and the drinks she made were delicious.

Guest UserWhile the hotel's decor and facilities are quite old, the sea view from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the 66th-floor lobby is still breathtaking when checking in. The young man who checked us in was also very enthusiastic, proactively introducing the hotel and room amenities. The transportation is quite convenient, being very close to Donggang Metro Station, and you can feed seagulls right outside the hotel by the sea. It's also very close and convenient to popular attractions like Donggang Music Fountain, Venice Water City, and Donggang Fifth Street. You don't have to fight the crowds at tourist spots, and you can see large ships from the beach right outside the hotel in the morning. Sitting in a seaside cafe and enjoying the sea view is also very pleasant. The two-bedroom suite is very suitable for families with children, as it's spacious and has a kitchen and refrigerator, allowing you to prepare some food. Housekeeping was also timely; the room was always clean and tidy when we returned each day.
Now, after the positives, let me share the annoyances we experienced during our stay:
1. On the first day, housekeeping threw away one of my contact lenses. Luckily, I had a spare pair, otherwise, I would have been ”blind” for three days in Dalian. When guest relations called to inquire about our stay, they said it was because I didn't put it in a contact lens case but rather in its original disposable packaging. However, that's not a valid reason for you to throw away a guest's belongings.
2. The two bathrooms share a single storage-type water heater. Although we were informed of this upon check-in, it's really not a good experience for a group of four, after a day of sightseeing, to have to wait in line for the water to heat up to take a shower. Also, the shower water temperature in the master bedroom fluctuated wildly between scalding hot and icy cold, making my child cry! Later, they explained that other water sources shouldn't be used simultaneously when someone is showering, which was not mentioned to us during check-in. This makes it very inconvenient, meaning even if you have two showers, you can't use them at the same time.
3. For the first two days, we didn't need to swipe our room cards to go upstairs, but suddenly on the third day, we were told that the elevator required a room card, and our room cards actually didn't work! We had to go back to the 66th-floor lobby to get new cards. We were told this was because there were too many people in the previous two days, so they canceled the card swipe for the elevator? This seems like a safety concern.
After checking out, an employee from guest relations called to ask about our stay, which shows you do care about the guest experience. However, after I explained the three points above, no feedback or compensation was offered. So, was the young lady just calling to listen to my complaints? Haha.

YunitusiThis was my second stay at the Four Seasons Dalian. This time, I wasn't able to book a sea-view room, but the hotel staff still managed to arrange one for us, which I'm truly grateful for. My mom was so happy to be able to see the sea view. The hotel's Chinese restaurant and pastry shop are my daughter's favorites; the food is exquisite and delicious, and the staff provide excellent service. They even waived the service charge and gave us complimentary fruit when we took our food back to the room. The hotel is conveniently located; it's a ten-minute walk to the Donggang Music Fountain, and a five-minute walk to Zheng Huang Qi. Zhongshan Square, Gangdong Wujie, and Venice Water City are all very close by. Dalian is a city worth visiting repeatedly, and the Four Seasons Dalian is a hotel worth booking again and again.

Guest UserOur family stayed at the Dalian Xingzhijie Hotel and had an extremely satisfying experience overall. The lobby environment was simple and elegant, the public areas were clean and bright, and the rooms had excellent natural light and a comfortable layout. The cleanliness was impeccable, with soft and spotless bedding, and a bathroom with good wet/dry separation and no unpleasant odors. Even the corners and hard-to-reach spots were thoroughly cleaned, making our stay feel very secure. I must specifically commend the front desk staff and the duty manager. They were always responsive to our requests throughout our stay. This is truly the only hotel among Dalian's five-star establishments that genuinely helps guests resolve issues. Whether we asked about nearby tourist routes, borrowed items, or needed to adjust our check-in requirements last-minute, the staff patiently answered our questions, and the duty manager quickly coordinated a solution, responding promptly and thoughtfully. The daily housekeeping was meticulous and tidy, and the location was convenient for exploring with family or for short excursions. The attentive and thoughtful service made us feel incredibly welcome. We will definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Dalian, and I'll be recommending it to others. The hotel front desk also offered cold drinks and juice, which was a lovely touch.

Guest UserThe room was a bit small, but the cleanliness was acceptable. I got a free upgrade to the 6th floor with a nice view! The hotel offered a complimentary beer, and bottled beer could be taken back to the room. I opted for draft beer, which had to be enjoyed on-site at an outdoor restaurant open from 6 PM to 10 PM. I arrived a little after 8 PM, and even though it was summer, the sea breeze was wonderfully cool. There was also a resident singer, creating a fantastic atmosphere! The hotel's back exit leads directly to Happy Coast Gate 4, with Gate 5 to the right and Gate 3 to the left. Plus, there were plenty of free fireworks displays by the sea to watch!!

Guest UserOverall, my family and I had a very satisfying stay. Lynne was incredibly thoughtful; seeing that we had a child, she proactively offered complimentary children's toiletries, which was a lovely gesture. The room was clean, dust-free, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The breakfast offered a good variety suitable for all ages, and the hotel's quiet environment ensured a very peaceful night's rest. I genuinely recommend this hotel.

Anonymous UserFirst off, the location is great, but the hotel is really old! I truly can't believe this is an Intercontinental, given their supposed standards and requirements.
1. They called me the day before to discuss check-in time, and we spent ages on the phone, wasted time, and still didn't clarify anything.
2. During check-in, they started discussing the daily room rate with me. This is the first time a hotel has ever done this with a guest. I thought the price was going to change, and we spent ages clarifying, only to find out the rate was exactly the same. No change at all. Their communication style was very misleading.
3. That evening, I called room service for an extra blanket, and they just flat out said they didn't have any.
4. My friend tried calling customer service from their room multiple times, and no one picked up.
5. The customer service in the lobby was also non-existent. Honestly, it's worse than places like Ya Duo or Quan Ji hotels these days.

LSMWMMRMMI booked a deluxe twin room and got upgraded to a suite, which was absolutely perfect! I was a bit worried after seeing some online reviews mentioning outdated facilities, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The environment was excellent, the room was incredibly soundproof, and spacious enough. The service was fantastic; the cleaning lady even gave me recommendations for places to visit – true Northeastern hospitality!
