Great location close to many restaurants and there is a Lawson convenience store just across the road. Our issue was the cleanliness. When we arrived, our hotel room was not clean and the bed was not made, and the front desk seemed confused by this. However, the facilities are decent: there are water dispensers you can refill your bottles with, good wifi, and many tables for co-working. The atmosphere however did not feel like a hostel, as it seemed most of the other guests were there playing games or working remotely, rather than being tourists like us.

I had a nice time in Lazy Bill's Hostel. The check-in counter staff were very patient even though we were communicating via a Translation app and even though I don't have a local number from a Chinese mobile network. Also, the coffee shop was located just inside the hostel and it was very convenient! The coffee was delicious. The staff were very serious when it comes to cleanliness. They cleaned the room where I stayed and they mop the room and clean the rest room every day. I could not say anything more. Will I stay here again? Definitely yes! They have a mini-convenience store inside the hostel for booze, juices and water. There were restaurants and bath houses in the area. There was also a nearby KFC! The only thing that had me worried was on my way back home because the station didn't have an escalator going down. I met a Chinese traveler of Korean descent and a local Chinese who speaks English. They were very kind. I wish to come back to Dalian and stay in Lazy Bill's Hostel once again.

It takes a short walk to Taoyuan subway station, not far from it. The disadvantages are obvious. The youth travel is more general. If you live in the kind of bed of thirty or fifty, it should be very cost-effective. The big bed room has a private bathroom, but the door is a public washroom and shower room. There are always people washing in the middle of the night. The sound insulation is poor. The sound of the faucet, and the door can be heard clearly.
