"I brought my family to Dalian for a short trip and stayed at the Guoshi Hotel. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied and giving it a five-star rating. The location is perfect for traveling with seniors and children; it's very close to the Gangwan Square subway station, making it easy to get to major attractions without dragging luggage around. There are breakfast shops and fruit stores downstairs, so getting food is very convenient. You can also walk to the shopping district without needing to drive. The value for money completely exceeded my expectations; it's rare to find such spacious and clean rooms at this price in a city center location. The room was meticulously cleaned, and the beds were wide enough for my whole family to stay comfortably without feeling cramped. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, which is very convenient when showering with kids, and the hot water supply is stable. The soundproofing is good too, so we weren't disturbed by hallway noise. The front desk service was thoughtful; check-in was simple and quick, and they were always ready to help when needed. Most hotels at a similar price point nearby are often small and have average hygiene, but this one is well-balanced in all aspects, offering a comfortable stay without breaking the bank. My whole family feels we made the right choice, and we'll definitely prioritize booking this hotel again when we visit Dalian next time."

"Business queen room is the best type of room, will only choose that one next time I stay there, other types of rooms are too small especially if you travel with two suitcases or need a table to work. (Romantic queen room for example too small, but still somehow cozy. Walking distance from Zhongshan square subway, a buliding where a lot of young people live, vibrant city energy although the facilities are old, not renovated, drains are a bit slow. Washing machine and you need to have your hangers if you wash clothes The hotel could provide more hangers and tea or coffee The best part is the price and location, 10min walking distance from Nanshan lu, 10min walking to zhongshan square The type of room also determines the view from the window, the cheapest one offers the view to the other building, the bit more pricy offers one or two windows with a great view of the city. The hotel is in the tallest building in that area, literally a tower, but rooms are on floors 8 and 9 which also provides great view. Internet connection better in better room😄 Photos are the actual photos, the view from the window"

"I forgot to take pictures, but I was initially worried my child might fall off the bed. The front desk staff proactively gave me a brand-new, unopened bed rail, which was incredibly helpful! After installing it, I had no worries at all. They also offer free airport pickup; I was a bit late for my pre-midnight pickup, but the hotel still sent the driver for me. It's very close to the airport, just a few minutes away, and it's convenient to buy things downstairs."

"At 6 AM, the curtains let in a lot of light, making the room very bright. If you like to sleep in, be aware of this. Most of the rooms at Guibin Xuan face west. Rooms with numbers ending in 1-10, where 10 is closer to the sea and 1 is closer to the building. The room in the picture is probably in the middle, so if you're closer to 1, the sea view will be minimal. If you check in on a hot day and the air conditioning doesn't kick in within a few minutes, don't hesitate. It's not because of the west-facing sun; the AC is broken. I recommend not waiting for engineering to check it out; just switch rooms immediately! Don't ask me how I know – they won't even show up for half an hour, and you'll be stuck waiting in a hot room with no AC. The breakfast was exactly the same for two days in a row, with everything in the same place. The limited selection isn't a huge deal because people generally eat the same things in the morning, but the quality was quite mediocre. My child even said the croissants weren't as good as the ones on the airplane. Also, pay attention! If you're sensitive to cold, absolutely do not sit at the tables near the windows. The waiter seated me there, and there was an air vent right above my head. The AC was freezing! Even with a blanket, I was cold. I went upstairs right after eating and immediately got diarrhea. The Chinese restaurant on the 40th floor (or whatever floor it was) requires you to go downstairs to the lobby to switch elevators, which is a bit inconvenient. The dishes were average. The waitress who served our table was very kind. She noticed I wasn't feeling well (because of the draft in the morning, my stomach was upset) and brought me a separate bowl of plain congee. It came late, and I ended up packing it but didn't eat it. Turn left out of the main entrance and walk about 200 meters, and you'll find Xiding. You can get a number there starting at 9:30 AM if you want to eat there. In the same building as Xiding, there's also Will Will. Go down the escalator in the lobby, turn right at the door, and walk about 100 meters, and you'll find a place to rent electric scooters and bicycles. Walk another 200 meters to the left, and you'll reach the place to feed the seagulls. I won't name the front desk manager who initially checked me in, but they kept interrupting me and had a very arrogant attitude. They also didn't reply to WeChat messages, etc. I originally wanted to give a much lower rating for the service, but because of the kind waitress at the Chinese restaurant and the duty manager who handled things later, I didn't send an email to the corporate office. Everything has been resolved, and the hotel doesn't need to contact me anymore."

Lisa, our butler, provided great follow-up service, and taxis were readily available. It's suitable for couples, families with children, or larger family trips. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus for transfers up and down the hill. We booked a two-bedroom unit, which was perfect for our large family. On our last day, we even spotted deer on the mountain behind the hotel – the kids were absolutely thrilled!"
