"The location is excellent for tourists, with the harbour and shopping centre just a short walk away. We especially loved the stunning views, both during the day and at night. The rooms are spacious, and the sound insulation between rooms is very good, making it a comfortable place to stay. There are a few drawbacks, however. The biggest issue is that there isn’t a separate guest bathroom. Guests staying in the two guest bedrooms need to use the master ensuite to shower, which isn’t very convenient. The bedrooms also don’t have blackout curtains, so they’re quite bright at night due to the neon lights outside, and the early sunrise (around 4:00 am) makes it difficult to sleep in. We also noticed an unpleasant odour coming from the bathroom drain, which persisted throughout our month-long stay. Overall, this is a very good place for a large family or group, particularly if you plan to cook your own meals and make use of the laundry facilities. With a few improvements, it would be an even better place to stay."

"The hotel room was very clean, and the air conditioning and fresh air system were particularly comfortable. The breakfast had a great variety and high quality, and the service was excellent. A special thank you to Michael, the Lobby Manager! We had a packed schedule in the afternoon and didn't have time to go back to the hotel to pick up our stored luggage. Michael proactively helped us by coordinating with our driver to have the luggage delivered directly to the airport. This saved us valuable time and ensured we made our return journey smoothly. We are very satisfied with all the hotel's services! We will definitely choose Shangri-La again for our next trip!"

"Maybe i was highly expecting for a hotel lime others Hard Rock Hotel. But this one is just okay. My room is ocean view but its not a private beach for the hotel. Cant swim at the beach. But many activities that you can do on it. The breakfast was great. There are so many selections that i can eat for a Muslim. The room is clean with full amenities. Btw , at night i ordered Fish&Chips & also brownies with icecream.But it so bland. The fries not cooked well & the brownies is not hot & hard. Not recommended. They also have live band at night. The water pressure in the room also low."

It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach, and you can even catch a glimpse of the fireworks from Discoveryland. The rooms are spacious, and the sea-view balcony offers expansive vistas. With amenities like a constant-temperature swimming pool and a kids' club, there are plenty of family-friendly activities, making it a breeze for parents. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options, and the service is prompt and responsive. It's a great choice for a holiday away from the city, and driving is recommended. Overall, a fantastic experience for a stay in Golden Pebble Beach."

"First off, the location is great, but the hotel is really old! I truly can't believe this is an Intercontinental, given their supposed standards and requirements. 1. They called me the day before to discuss check-in time, and we spent ages on the phone, wasted time, and still didn't clarify anything. 2. During check-in, they started discussing the daily room rate with me. This is the first time a hotel has ever done this with a guest. I thought the price was going to change, and we spent ages clarifying, only to find out the rate was exactly the same. No change at all. Their communication style was very misleading. 3. That evening, I called room service for an extra blanket, and they just flat out said they didn't have any. 4. My friend tried calling customer service from their room multiple times, and no one picked up. 5. The customer service in the lobby was also non-existent. Honestly, it's worse than places like Ya Duo or Quan Ji hotels these days."

"Rooms here are really in high demand; it was impossible to extend my stay. Aside from a long wait during check-in, everything else was fantastic: the fifth-floor garden is charming both day and night, and the room's crystal chandeliers and carved wall decorations exude the luxury of an economic boom period. Even the chairs are incredibly heavy – they really spared no expense with the materials! However, the curtain on one of the windows in my room was broken and wouldn't close properly, letting in a lot of light as soon as it got bright outside. Other than that, everything was perfect!"

But after checking in, it completely exceeded what I was expecting, and I immediately extended my stay for another three days in the same room! The oceanfront high-rise location offers unparalleled views. The room itself is simply decorated yet practical, and having a fridge and washing machine is super convenient for families or long-term business travelers. "Our family stayed at the Dalian Xingzhijie Hotel and had an extremely satisfying experience overall. The lobby environment was simple and elegant, the public areas were clean and bright, and the rooms had excellent natural light and a comfortable layout. The cleanliness was impeccable, with soft and spotless bedding, and a bathroom with good wet/dry separation and no unpleasant odors. Even the corners and hard-to-reach spots were thoroughly cleaned, making our stay feel very secure. I must specifically commend the front desk staff and the duty manager. They were always responsive to our requests throughout our stay. This is truly the only hotel among Dalian's five-star establishments that genuinely helps guests resolve issues. Whether we asked about nearby tourist routes, borrowed items, or needed to adjust our check-in requirements last-minute, the staff patiently answered our questions, and the duty manager quickly coordinated a solution, responding promptly and thoughtfully. The daily housekeeping was meticulous and tidy, and the location was convenient for exploring with family or for short excursions. The attentive and thoughtful service made us feel incredibly welcome. We will definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Dalian, and I'll be recommending it to others. The hotel front desk also offered cold drinks and juice, which was a lovely touch."

"The Dalian Four Seasons was our first Four Seasons experience in China. Having previously stayed at Four Seasons hotels in Prague, Budapest, and Singapore, I'd come to the conclusion that 'Four Seasons is always a safe bet in any unfamiliar city.' In fact, if a city has a Four Seasons, that alone is a great reason to visit, as the brand has extremely high standards for location, and following their lead rarely goes wrong. The Dalian Four Seasons is located in the prime area of Zhongshan Road. It's within a 2km drive to places like Nanshan Street, Zhongshan Square, Democratic Square's Tram Route 201 starting point, and Russian Style Street. Just a 7-minute walk from the hotel, there's a cluster of local restaurants, which is very convenient. We stayed for four nights in an 80-square-meter Grand City View King Room. It featured a spacious bedroom (after fitting a comfortable king-size bed, an L-shaped sofa, a large round table, and chairs, there was still plenty of space for two people to practice Baduanjin), an oversized walk-in closet, and a bathroom. The vanity had the essential double sinks, which made it incredibly convenient for two people. What's particularly noteworthy is the large mirror with a built-in smart TV – this was truly amazing! It's a great bonus for those who brush their teeth thoroughly (which can take a while, so I often watch my iPad at home to avoid boredom). Four Seasons' in-room tea bags and capsule coffee have always been my favorite. The Dalian hotel thoughtfully labeled four different coffee varieties with their flavors and roast levels, and even included a decaffeinated option. This was incredibly friendly for coffee lovers who want to try different trendy cafes outside every day but are also concerned about excessive caffeine intake. Every day, I made a cup of decaf coffee in my room, and could even add milk and ice to make a delicious iced latte – I really enjoyed it. Among the tea bags, Maojian was my personal favorite and one I'd recommend. Speaking of which, I must praise the hotel's sky lobby. Located on the 41st floor, it offers breathtaking sea views. Every day, I spent a long time sitting on the sofa here, reading or simply gazing at the sea, feeling a deep sense of holiday bliss. At 38樓, the gym is the most beautiful I've ever seen in any Four Seasons hotel, and indeed, in any hotel I've stayed in! This is because it boasts the same stunning sea views as the sky lobby. I went to the gym for 2 hours every day for four consecutive days. The equipment was sufficient to train shoulders, chest, back, and glutes/legs on separate days. The completeness of the fitness equipment rivaled that of the Singapore Four Seasons, but the sea view is a definite plus for the Dalian Four Seasons. I was also particularly pleased with the hotel breakfast. While other categories offered everything imaginable, that wasn't the main point. What truly impressed me was how few hotel restaurants can provide a comprehensive selection of avocado, cold-brew overnight oats (with nuts and fresh blueberries), sourdough bread, and salmon with purple cabbage salad all at once. For fitness enthusiasts who maintain a healthy diet year-round, this is an absolute godsend. Even more impressive than all the perfect hardware mentioned above was the service at the Dalian Four Seasons, which perfectly embodied the Four Seasons' core philosophy of 'treating others as you would like to be treated.' I especially want to thank Kayla and Carrie, the duty managers from the Guest Experience Department. They started coordinating with me two days before my arrival. Every morning after check-in, they would message me on WeChat to ask about our comfort levels. After the first night, they adjusted room details based on my personal preferences and needs, making me truly feel the same convenience and comfort as if I were at home. During these five days in Dalian, I truly felt that the Four Seasons makes you happy whether you leave to explore during the day or stay in all day long. A city with a Four Seasons inherently becomes more attractive, and it's a hotel you can 'mindlessly choose' without ever going wrong. Dalian Four Seasons, you are my perfect Four Seasons hotel, and for you, I am willing to return to Dalian!"
