Premier Inn Doncaster Central East

Awful experience, I would highly recommend the newer premier inn as this was very poor. It’s a very old building and it’s worse than a motel.

One star for Stephanie as she was very polite and accommodating. However, we were given a family room, hallway had a smell of cigarettes, the room had a vile smell of sewage, the walls had marks, very dull, wallpaper peeling off and it wasn’t pleasant at all. Having done a 3.5 hours journey in the car and after work, we were extremely shattered. I went to reception to ask Stephanie to change our room which she did and mentioned, this is a very old building. The second room, the floor creaked extremely loud, when you put the bathroom light on, the level of sound can wake anyone up, you can hear everyone walking pass, wall stains, the curtains fell off and my husband put it back together. Anyway, we were all so tired that we thought leave it. Premier Inn you need to refurb this building, guests still pay for a level of service and this stay was by far the worse. Very disappointed and personally, I wouldn’t recommend.

After a long tiresome drive, I came to reception to a very cheerful, bubbly, helpful young lady. She introduced her self as Stef and had been the best , most amazing Premier Inn staff that I have met in my many stays at this institution around the country. She was very informative of the surrounding restaurants and gave some sound advice on the merits of being in Doncaster. Thank you Stef

Stephanie was very helpful and attentive. She was thoughtful and helped me with condiments which were needed for my evening tea. She was interested in knowing how my stay has been for the last 3 days. I liked our interaction. Wanted to let Stephanie, Jackie and all the staff know I recognised their help to make me comfortable. .

Stayed over with my youngest daughter as was attending her first concert near Doncaster Dome, staff really looked after us & went the extra mile for her leaving treats in our room for her plus extra fans to keep us cool due toa mini heatwave, the family room was really clean & spacious, didn't try food as we had planned to eat out already at the concert venue

Comfortable clean room, but 1) problems with noisy heating unit, which couldn't be turned off; 2) although there was a good, large fan provided, the room was far too hot and the window didn't open enough for any fresh air to circulate; 3) The bed was comfortable once we found the extra pillows, but there was a big dent on the LHS of the mattress through lots of use 4) the bed was very creaky at times; 5) our key cards kept malfunctioning and had constantly to be replaced - presumably a fault with the door itself? 5) it was disappointing that the restaurant wasn't open until the afternoon we left. Had we known that was the case, we would have booked at one of the other Premier Inn hotels in town. Staff were great, though - particularly Steph who made us very welcome and remembered me from a previous visit. She and her colleagues did their best to make our stay pleasant, and were professional and warm.

Steph at reception was brilliant. Sorted our rooms and Internet queries. Friendly and helpful, especially after a long drive!
