"The hotel is just across Binhai Avenue, and there is a lot of food around, very convenient! However, we just happened to be renovating upstairs when we checked in, and there was a constant noise during the day, because we stayed for one day, so it was just a short while away. By the way, the sound insulation of the room is not very good"
"Similar to the domestic express hotel, it is slightly better than Hanting. It is quite modern in Duma, because it was renovated and opened in 2018, the facilities are new, the hot water is strong, and the house does not have ant text geckos. This is rare in Duma. It ’s not a resort hotel, but I really gave it 100 points. I left the hotel ’s business card when I left."

"Hotel advantage is big! Good location! The water pressure is pretty good.
But there are also disadvantages, noise, taste,
But the price is very high in the end
When I went to Duma, I knew that his overall environment was there. This location is convenient and the price is so cheap."
"New and clean rooms, nicely and thoughtfully decorated although on the small size. Breakfast could be better. Pool is cute. Location is accesible via tricycle from any point in Dumaguete. Will stay again if we're in Dumaguete."
"Excellent, very convenient from room direct go to big swimming pool, air conditioning is comfortable cool and new, toilet and public area very clean, and the breakfast direct delivery in room outside corridor room table. Staff service smile snd nice. i will book again coming my holiday again. Hope hotel business upper. Thanks."
"The cheap room was in very poor condition. Not only was the room very small, but there was no private bathroom. You had to share a bathroom outside, so the price was not cheap. It seemed that it was not clear when booking. Later, the room was upgraded. But the price was very high. The hotel service was average, and the service attitude was pretty good."
"Owner so friendly and giving us a warm welcome. You feel like at home 😊 very clean and it’s affordable. Location it’s not great but soon you’ll get used to it. Great
AAnonymous UserFirst look on their IG and I knew I had to book this for my father’s 61st bday. Everytime we were at the hotel, it was a struggle between “I want to make the most out of this relaxing haven of pure green lush and, no let’s go outside and be with the locals”. My family fell in love with this hotel to the point that we want to go back just to stay here. The restaurants in their place are all so great too. Our favorite is Si Senor.
JJansen1993Great Stay – Clean, Comfortable, and Friendly Staff!
I stayed at Henia Hotel for one night in a windowless room, but it was still a great experience. Everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was more than sufficient, with a good shower.
The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed. The hotel also had a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, which made for a good night’s sleep. Despite the lack of a window, the room felt cozy and well-designed.
Overall, a great choice for a short stay – I would definitely consider coming back!
RRoseanne RaeI love everything here. Value for money. Though they have one receptionist who was unfriendly but the other 2 compensated for the incovenient approach of the pther person.
OOn The Road AgainI was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room seemed freshly painted. The TV had YouTube access the bed was comfy but towards the firm side. Good shower but it lacked a shower curtain. Decent sized room for one or two. I would have liked a small refrigerator. They have a curious rule of a corkage fee for alcohol in the room. Don’t know how they could enforce that but…anyway I liked the place more than the Hotel Essencia down the street.
JJOSEPH DE GRACIAI recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Essencia and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. My room was spotless and beautifully decorated, offering a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the city, and I especially enjoyed the delicious buffet breakfast spread each morning I love the puto with cacao chocolate. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Dumaguete and will definitely be back!”
NNicethorI absolutely loved the hotel's location—it was convenient and perfect for exploring the area. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The breakfast, in particular, stood out; it was a delightful buffet with so many tasty and fresh choices. The room was spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of space to relax and unwind. Overall, my experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay!
毛毛毛虫MandyThis time I booked a two-bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, which is very convenient and you can cook by yourself, but I didn’t experience it in a hurry this time. The restaurant downstairs is not as good as everyone said, but it is above the overall level of the Philippines. The swimming pool is beautiful and there are slides to play. After checking out, I had to go to the pier to take the boat to Tin Island. Because we had 5 people and luggage, we asked the front desk to call a cart for us. As a result, we arranged a brand new van to take us there for free. The building is very distinctive, the layout is very cute, I feel that a small town in Europe, next time I must take my daughter to stay a few more days.
PPeterOverall a pleasant stay. Staff are friendly, the room was clean and the location is good. While breakfast options were okay I think the hotel would benefit by small improvements like healthier options such as fruit compote or fresh juice rather than powdered.

LLailei AnneMy boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Golden Gate Suites, and our experience was truly memorable. The location was perfect, putting us within walking distance of major attractions and some fantastic local restaurants. The room itself was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities we needed. We especially enjoyed the comfortable bed and the scenic views from our window, which really added a nice touch.
The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to help with anything we needed, from restaurant recommendations to transportation options. The hotel also had a fantastic breakfast spread each morning, with a variety of options to suit different tastes.
Overall, Golden Gate Suites was an ideal choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We highly recommend it for couples looking for a romantic getaway in a central, convenient location. We’d love to return!
EEmmanuel SarmientoThe place is quiet, good for people who like relaxation in a tranquil environment. The room is okay, I got a small ne but it was enough for me since I came as a solo. However, I don‘t understand why it was so hard to hail a tricycle going to this place, no matter how near it actually is. Even the tricycles from there won‘t pick you up even when it‘s not yet fully occupied. So far my stay was good. I was able to work in my room, I just wished they have something like a study table where guests who needs to work remotely can work. Also, it would be nice if you know how to drive a motorbike and hold a driver‘s license. Cause going to the places there back in forth can be really hard when commuting only, unlike when you can rent a motorbike, you can go anywhere, anytime without a hassle.
