We stayed with friends for two nights. We ate dinner at The Hotel the first night. This review has to take into account how good the price was that we paid. The room was old like, the core building, but it was not noisy as some have written. The loo shuddered as it refilled. But the bed was comfortable and it was warm. There are lots of positives to balance the old room. Breakfast was very good in terms of choices and very good value. The parking is plentiful and secure. The staff were hardworking and helpful. Deddington is itself nice and it’s a good place to explore from. Overall a 4* very good score because it was half the price of the last hotel we used in remote West Wales to meet with the same friends. I do not know what those scoring it lower paid but the price we paid was very competitive for what we received.

Super beautiful back garden, unexpectedly good looking, breakfast is a classic English full meal, fried egg tarts, ham, sausage, bread crumbs, coffee, parking is free and convenient, there is a gas station and convenience store opposite, we are here Go to the Bicester Village, drive for 20 minutes, recommend it again!

I fell in love with this house, it was outstanding both inside and outside. The original features and history of this house, just made you want to explore more. If only walls could talk. The room we stayed in was lovely and I loved the window shutters. The bed was a good size for me, but for hubby it was too short. The owner said he was getting a new bed in the future, so for taller people that will help.. The garden went on and on and was beautiful. A delicious breakfast was served each morning, with tasteful fresh ingredients. I would recommend staying here, better than any chain hotel.

Nestled between the Great Western Railway and the Oxford Canal, The Great Western Arms offers a bar and restaurant. With a lovely courtyard and free Wi-Fi access throughout, this little country pub is just 30 minutes' drive from Oxford.Situated in an annexe attached to the side of the pub, the rooms are accessed via a separate entrance. Each includes a flat-screen TV, fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities. The en-suite bathrooms have complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer.Guests at The Great Western Arms can enjoy real ales and traditional pub meals. Odd location, on arrival looked like hotel was located in the middle of a new housing estate, was expecting a bit more rural. That said hotel is modern with an attached restaurant and bar. Staff here are very friendly and helpful . Room was new , very clean and well equipped , bed not the most comfortable unless you like an ultra firm mattress . Also air conditioning controls could be a bit more user friendly, took a bit to get a comfortable balance. Bathroom large with a bath and over shower which was really good , good towels and bath robes, found automatic light switch annoying! Goes out if you’re still and glaring if you use toilet during night. Breakfast was in the restaurant which had a good choice and was generally very nice. Had the Sunday roast here which was not so great. Bar is like a sports bar used mainly by locals and quite busy, not really a hotel bar. All that said this was a good hotel and is in a great location as a base to explore Bicester, Oxford , Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds. Hopefully my few criticisms are taken as constructive not to the detriment of the hotel as we enjoyed our stay here!

This small B&B is really a gem. Our hosts, Mike and Barbara are, in my opinion, the very perfect hosts. The rooms we had (we had one, our friends another) were the cleanest I have ever stayed at, and I spend many nights every year in four and five star hotels over the world. Absolutely spotless. Comfortable bed and a nice shower. The breakfast is something not to miss. Homemade granola, fruits and juices amongst other delicacies. Barbara also cooked us a full English breakfast, as well as other options. All just perfect. Mike served the table, a nice host (as they both are), observant to our needs and really pleasant landlord. I do recommend this to all people that expect high standards at fair price.
