La Plage Resort

It is a very beautiful hotel complex, located above the sea. At first glance, a WOW! Everything is white, tiled roofs, small apartments with front gardens, the blue sky, the blue sea - rustic. Since we were there in the off-season, we naturally saw signs of wear and tear (rust, peeling plaster, cables not properly encased in concrete, secured tripping hazards, etc.). But you could overlook that. Location & surroundings 5.0 If you come by coach, as we did, the hotel complex is ideal. You can go for walks, use the pool or the sea in the evenings, and go on various excursions during the day. We were there at the end of September with a tour group. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't always good, but it was warm - around 20 degrees in the evenings. There is practically nothing outside the hotel. There is supposed to be a small supermarket nearby. There are many excursion destinations. Alghero, Bosa and Porto Cervo are particularly worth mentioning. There is also a trip to the island of Corsica. Room 5.0 Whitewashed walls, an anteroom with a bed to the side, a bedroom, bathroom with shower. There are 2 air conditioning units that can be individually adjusted. The bathroom was unfortunately very narrow and if you wanted to wash your legs in the shower you had to open the door, it was so small. Enough coat hangers in the closet - which is often not the case. Everything was very clean. High bed, slept well. Service 4.0 At reception we were given a wristband and a note that we had to pay 40 EUR for all-inclusive drinks (white wine, red wine, mineral water, various juices, cola, from the vending machine - NO beer) - but ONLY to be consumed in the dining room. The 40 EUR also included the visitor's tax for 5 days. However, there was no receipt for this when we left. We had no reason to go to reception. Gastronomy 5.0 On the first evening we were given one glass of wine and one glass of water per person at the table. Then just one glass. Either wine or water. The evening meal was extensive and varied. Unfortunately there was hardly any warm vegetables to go with the various types of meat and fish. Very nice starter buffet. Lots of Mediterranean food, cold and warm. The breakfast buffet was unfortunately always the same. White rolls (but that's how it is in Italy). Only ham and salami Milanese and one type of sliced ​​cheese platter. The same every day. Very thinly sliced ​​cucumbers and - something I've never seen before - the tomatoes were finely sliced ​​like sausage and piled on a platter. Of course there was lots of fresh fruit, canned fruit and yoghurt. Unfortunately you could only enter the dining room from outside. That meant we stood in front of the entrance with umbrellas three times. Everything was set, but it wasn't opened until 7 p.m. in the evening and 7 a.m. sharp. The staff were friendly. We were happy to tip on the last day.

Unfortunately the director Simone turned out to be a person without competence, completely inefficient and unwilling to resolve the problems raised by us guests. Several times he responded rudely and rudely to our completely legitimate requests as paying guests.

Average village ... clean room, a bit small, food in quantity, excellent pizzas, a little less the rest ... Impractical village beach ... certainly not a beach worthy of Sardinia. Kind, friendly and never intrusive entertainment staff.

It was an amazing holiday, the food was great and the rooms were gorgeous. The Management was always prompt and kind to every request, I was very satisfied, there is always something to do in the afternoon, with a wide choice of sea, swimming and excursions, I think I will return next year

Small changes would be enough for this Resort to be included in the correct evaluation. Remove a star and update the photos from the site. Of course this is just my judgment, but the facts are undeniable. As soon as we arrive in the room, we realize that there is dust both on the edges of the bed, on the TV and on the floor; this means that the room has not been thoroughly cleaned but what is more serious in this period that, perhaps, it has not been properly sanitized. Required personal intervention in charge, but I can say that he promptly performed the cleaning. Another aspect to note is the lack of care of the structure and the services offered. The beach is nothing more than a patch of sand and rocks, but this is definitely not the fault of the hotel management. Unfortunately, this cannot be remedied, but surely some precautions can be taken, such as changing the photo on the site that does not reflect the current state. Surely more can be done on maintenance which is non existent. Broken umbrellas and deckchairs thrown everywhere, non-existent rescue service and no control as many uncivilized people placed towels on the few remaining deckchairs at 7 in the morning and removed them at 7 in the evening, without anyone supervising the effective use of the deckchairs. On the side of the swimming pools, the furthest from the hall, some dirt could be seen on the bottom but perhaps that swimming pool was closed because it was unsuitable for bathing. We didn't use the central pool very much because it wasn't so crystal clear. Among other things, on our arrival the use of headphones was not mandatory. Only later did signs come out where they ordered the mandatory use of headphones. Another aspect to note is that in the evening in the hotel area there are 2 dogs, one small and the other large. We agree that they were good guys, but for children who are terrified of even a small dog, seeing them appear along the corridor of the rooms is not a great experience. I won't go into the merits of whether they are microchipped or not, but I certainly don't see it right for guests who may have particular fears even just seeing them, let alone if you find them wandering around inside the hotel structure with the approval of security and the lobby staff. The cubina was good and full of dishes, but if you didn't arrive early, I risked not finding any more. There were no ingredients posted on each dish and therefore it was necessary to ask the attendants each time what that product contained, with the result that many times they did not even know what was there. Unassigned tables so if you ate inside the grill area you were in luck (but you had to go early to get seats), otherwise you had to eat inside the large veranda where it was hellishly hot. Overall the property did not meet my expectations at all, compared to other 4 star resorts.

People are attracted by the price, but how much you pay you receive. Let's move on to the staff, let's start with the reception, well-prepared, polite and kind guys (Andrea and Andreina obviously all even at night), excellent room cleaning, we had two special people, Manu and Caterina, educated and expert in their work. The buffet restaurant, always full and, if something was missing, was immediately replaced, led by the great Chef Nuccio with very good cooks among whom I remember Gavino, Tonino, Antonio and others, the room with the matre Pamela good and expert with all the waiters always ready to fill any request, however plenty of food from breakfast to dinner. The bar located in the square also with polite and courteous staff. Finally, the animation, very good guys led by Diego flanked by Lele Giulia Federica Andrea Gianni and... I don't remember the others. In any case, positive experience and.. manager, I recommend the perfect structure does not exist, however, let the defects be very few.
