It’s my second stay at Spices, a restored heritage shophouse hotel with nine rooms. With complimentary coffee and tea as well as a library, the two lounge areas are a peaceful place to relax and unwind after a day of gallivanting, exploring, and eating your way through Georgetown’s bustling markets. It’s in an ideal central location while also being down a quiet street, so there’s not much noise, even if your room is street side. There is a mosque nearby though, so light sleepers will have an early wake up. Thank you to the friendly staff for accommodating me again.

We booked for 3 nights with breakfast at a good price. Breakfast was good enough. The rooms were okay although a little bit grubby. We were really disappointed to find out the gym and top floor look out was shut due to maintenance. We partly booked because it said it had a gym. I think this needs to be communicated before people book. But over all, a pleasant enough stay for the money we paid

Good and execulent with bathbut and highervel and non smoking. swimming pool opens from 7:00 . Christmas celebration. Double bed is very comfortable. Near food testaurant and shopping mall. reasonable price for family trip. happy joureny with that hotel.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Campbell House. Excellent location and reception staffs were welcoming and very helpful. They provided us with maps & recommendations after check in. Always asked us about our day and highlights. Thank you for a memorable experience! The room is very clean although small for 2 to share. I would recommend the double room for one traveller or short/weekend travellers with less luggages.

Nothing much going on in the hotel area except the food court across. Tried walking to georgetown but its not pedestrian friendly, a bit dangerous. Overall, a mid stay experience.

Old building look but inside were newly renovated, the same for the room. Overall are not bad, with free parking, 24 hours mart downstair. The breakfast choices are not much but still able to have full breakfast with nice sea or city view. No swimming pool but my kids were able to enjoy in the bath tub.

Good location for those who want to relax and enjoy. Rooms are little small but comfortable enough. Main reason to stay here is the atmosphere and free Netflix and youtube access. Wifi is provided. Overall really great stay here. Staff is very helpful to locate parking although it is 2am.

Upon arrival at the front desk, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service, along with a welcome ice cream. We were even offered a complimentary upgrade to a king bed room. When we entered the room, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the hotel had thoughtfully accommodated my request made online to be near the elevator, as I was traveling with two young children and wanted to avoid walking too far. The room was very clean and spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. To our surprise, the minibar included a birthday cake, as I had mentioned online that we were staying to celebrate my husband’s birthday. This thoughtful gesture truly touched us. Additionally, the hotel provided complimentary snacks and soft drinks, which were a lovely bonus. We chose this hotel for its convenience, as it allowed our two children to rest easily after getting tired from exploring the mall. It turned out to be exactly as we hoped—super convenient. The hotel is also close to a famous food street, but unfortunately, we couldn’t visit due to the rain. Instead, we dined at one of the many restaurant options within the mall. The breakfast the next morning was abundant and delicious, and since our two kids are under five, they enjoyed complimentary breakfast as well. We have no regrets about choosing this hotel. It’s our first time staying here with 9yo child. We were given Block B room. Felt welcome by all staffs, always greet us with smile. Clear & helpful communication. Love the free coffee & simple snack service at the comfortable lobby. Swimming pool is acceptable at block B, could be better if there is someone to watch over as there were some tourist allow their child to go naked in the pool(not sure they pee inside or not). Love the free clean water dispenser service available near the lift. Although Breakfast could be better (omelette doesn’t taste nice), there are some dirty stains in certain parts of the toilet, overall our stay was comfortable & satisfied. Location wise is also consider convenient to many walking distance places, there’s a tourist map available for free at the reception, very helpful & thoughtful. Definitely will consider staying here again in future.

The attitude of the store clerk was very good, but the cockroach in the room was as big as a northern mouse. It was the biggest cockroach I have ever seen. It scared me so much that I could only turn on the light to sleep in the middle of the night.
