"We are staying in Grindelwald for a couple of days and we spent one night in this hotel.
The location is a bit far away from the train station and it’s exhausting to carry heavy luggage over the slopes between station and hotel.
The price is reasonable and the balcony view of Eiger is stunning. The hotel looks quite old where no ventilation system can be found in washroom. Wi-Fi signal is poor and we were unable to connect it in the room.
We appreciate the breakfast as the food quality is good but seems the number of staff is limited. They are required to work in the reception for check in/out enquiries and at the same time busy rushing to the breakfast area to clean up the tables and food."
"Jingmei, the service is very good, but the bed is too soft, and it is a big bed made of two single beds. It would be perfect if these two problems can be solved."
"Very casual place. You can quietly watch the white clouds drift slowly between the snow peaks on the balcony ... The green hillside, the blue sky, the scenery is really good"

"If you like the mountains and the views, it's great. The service is excellent and the reception treatment is very pleasant. You have to keep in mind that you do not go to a luxurious hotel, you go to a mountain hotel, and it complies with everything: good heating, parking next door, restaurant, you have the railway to go up and down right next door, etc."
"It was convenient because it was only a 5-minute walk from Grindelwald Station.
The staff are also very friendly and nice.
I booked a place with a balcony, but the accommodation view was no joke. It was like a picture.
I regret booking for 2 nights.
Breakfast is also delicious."
"The hotel is uphill at the other end of grindelwald, not too close to Grindelwald station and Coop, fortunately the door is bus 121, 122, 123, but at first I saw Google map that it was a 15-minute walk from the train station only, but I knew it was quite hard to push luggage up the slope
Fortunately, it is close to Pfingstegg and First cable car stations, and Jungfrau must either take bus 121, 123 or train to Grindelwald Terminal station, change to the Eiger Cable car, or go to Grindelwald station and take the Train to Kleine Scheidegg
Although I live up to 4/F, the room has no air conditioning, so insects have entered the room🫨
But the scenery is beautiful, the room is big, the worst thing is no refrigerator, can only cook the noodles in the room
Breakfast itself thought there was very little food, but you can order hot drink and egg separately, which is quite good
Although seeing hotel restaurant dinner seems to be praised by many people, but too expensive, the cheapest is the 4-course menu d fine din, have to over CHF100"
"125 years of traditional hotels, wooden houses, floor heating; breakfast all kinds of bread, juice, yogurt, cheese, meat slices (about three or four kinds, I have seen the evaluation before that the breakfast is very simple and I don’t think it at all); very delicious, I and the baby eat directly; balcony look at the snow-capped mountains; the most important thing is here; They have a sauna here, men and women ** mixed bathing, the kind that can't wear swimsuits; there is also a table football activity room; the grandfather and grandmother at the front desk are very kind."
"The room is spacious with a great view. we checked in late at around 10pm, so the host left the instructions and keys at the front desk for us to collect. However upon checked in we found the heaters in the room did not work, so it was very cold for the first night and there was no front desk we can ask about it. The heater was switched on the next day but it was still not as warm as expected. This can be troublesome during winter time."
"The hotel staff was extremely accommodating and helpful! Everyone wore a smile as they greeted us. The location is great and the view of the mountains is unbeatable. Will definitely be staying here again on our trip back! Shuttle service is super convenient (Joao was great and unmatched driver) getting to and from hotel/station."

Is pleasure of staying at a wonderful hotel that left a lasting impression. From its impeccable design to the delectable breakfast, my experience was delightful overall. Although the weather didn't quite cooperate during my stay, the hotel's fantastic service more than made up for it.
The hotel's interior design is simply stunning. Every aspect of the decor exudes elegance and sophistication. The attention to detail is evident, and it creates a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the premises. The architecture and furnishings are tastefully chosen, providing a luxurious and comfortable ambiance for guests.
One of the highlights of this hotel is undoubtedly the breathtaking view. Unfortunately, I encountered some bad luck with the weather during my stay, which limited my ability to fully enjoy the surroundings. However, even through the mist and rain, I could sense the beauty that lay beyond the hotel's windows. I can only imagine how magical it would be on a clear day.
The service at this hotel is truly exceptional. The staff members are attentive, friendly, and go above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of. The hotel's commitment to customer satisfaction is evident in every interaction, making the stay truly enjoyable.
breakfast was simply delicious! The array of options available was impressive, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. this hotel left a lasting impression on me. The well-designed interiors, the mesmerizing view (even through the rain), the exceptional service, and the mouthwatering breakfast made my stay truly remarkable. If you're looking for a hotel that combines elegance, comfort, and impeccable service, this is the place to be.
Mmina2023We booked two rooms for a family trip and asked to be arranged closer or on the same floor. In the end, we were given two floors... The room was spacious but the facilities were simple. The service attitude was excellent. They also arranged a car to take us to the train station for free before leaving. It was very close to the Dream Hill.
AAiboouba“I recently stayed at a hotel in October 2024, and it was a fantastic experience! The rooms were impressively clean and incredibly spacious, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The beautiful Swiss mountain scenery added a peaceful, scenic backdrop, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding a welcoming touch to the overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and a touch of Swiss charm in Grindelwald!
NnyfeiExtraordinary experience! The room has a large balcony with a stunning view of snow mountains. Bed is clean and soft. Some chocolates and coffee are included. Basic amenities like towels, body wash, shampoo, hair dryer and slippers are included! Location is particularly awesome, exactly next to Grindelwald station. You literally step in the hotel right after you get off from your train. Breakfast is typical but well-served. Staff are very nice and provide clear guidance.
GGuest UserGreat experience staying at Eiger Hotel. Place was clean and had great views. Right beside Girndelwald terminal and hotel provide free Grindelwald travel pass (can take their bus 121,122,123). Staff was friendly. Would recommend!
GGuest UserThe scenery is beautiful and the owner is nice. It's just that the location is a bit high and it's a bit tiring to walk up, but it's worth it.
Breakfast is provided in the morning, with various breads and cheeses. You can also ask the staff for other meals. I ordered scrambled eggs for breakfast this time. It tasted good and the presentation was also thoughtful.
AAmelina AyobGreat mountain view room with balcony. Love the view!!! Spacious room. Reception staffs was lovely and welcoming, didnt catch her name - lady in blonde hair. Welcome drink was a prosecco. Breakfast was huge spread! Hotel offers transfer from train station.
CCheuk YiuReally helpful staff, she responded to my urgent request for late check-in within 15 minutes, very efficient. The hostel had a really really really nice view of the Eiger, but honestly felt a bit far from the train station (have to catch a bus that runs every 30 minutes or something). It’s convenient with the bus but should be noted the last bus on weekdays is very early like at around 18:00, arriving any time after that requires walking up a SUPER STEEP hill.
Mmn1318The hotel has an excellent location, just an 8-minute walk from Grindelwald Station. Go down the mountain and walk for 15 minutes to the Terminal. After that, you can take the crane up to the Jungfrau Peak and start your climbing journey. Or you can leave the station and stay on the mountainside and walk for 15 minutes to take the crane up to First Mountain.
This time I stayed in a triple room (with an elderly person traveling with me). The interior space was acceptable and not too cramped. There are many windows, so open the curtains and enjoy the beautiful scenery! Awesome! ! !
Breakfast is served from 0700 to 1000. There are not many varieties, but there is white rice and fried rice (extra points!)
There are basic facilities in the room, including a hairdryer and no hot water boiler, but the electricity is low and the lights are dim. Completely experience the style of staying in a cabin in the Swiss mountains. Staff service is ok, could be more welcoming 😬
All in all, I had a good stay this time! My personality was ok! Recommended to everyone!
DDariaThe hotel was located in the middle of the hill, just like many of the hotels in Grindelwald. There was free bus in the area so it was easy getting up and down. Yet, the bus service stops at around 6 or 7pm, and you will have to walk up the hill from the train station for about 20 minutes. Also, potentially because it was in the middle of the mountain or it was winter, it felt very dry in the middle of the night. It would be nice if there can be a humidifier in the room.
However, the view of the room is absolutely worth it. You can look at mountains like Eigerblick just from your room and the breakfast buffet, and it is extremely breathtaking.
The breakfast buffet included was decent, with fruits, bread, cereal, some hot food and drinks. In particular the eggs were very nicely done.
The bathroom looks a bit old-fashioned and narrow, with slightly insufficient lighting, but overall it was clean and good.
The service was generally good. We were greeted with great smiles and friendliness by the reception and staff at the breakfast buffet.
Overall it was an amazing stay and I would recommend it:)
