Lovely boutique hotel with wonderful staff in a quaint neighborhood. Limited but delicious and filling breakfast - recommend getting the Guilin noodles. The room and view was nice. I would stay here again when in Guilin.

The owner makes this place perfection! Anything to do to help he does! He helped organize a day trip to Yangshuo for me and my friend. He always welcomed us with water and watermelon. Breakfast is toast and jam with eggs and tea/coffee or Guilin style noodles. Location is in a small scenic area. Rooms could use a better scrubbing down and bathrooms become quite humid. But beds are very comfy!

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is close to most attractions in the city . The room decor was nice. The owner of the hotel was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast included with the room. We enjoyed our stay there .

Wow, the hotel was very lovely and the owner really made it a wonderful experience. He was warm and welcoming. He helped me and my friend book a trip and helped us locate a place to get a PCR test. On arrival, he prepared some fresh watermelon, and when we came back from a long day of sightseeing, he delivered more watermelon and water to the room. On the last night he invited us to join him and his friends for some delicious 烧烤! It was a lovely experience! The hotel is around 10-15 minutes to down town or you could cycle, rent an ebike to get around. The area is quiet and you can see the mountains all around. There is a nice walk way and cycle path near by.

This is a gem of a hotel. It’s situated in a small contained village outside of downtown but easily accessible. It costs c15rmb and 15-20 minutes to get downtown. There are bikes and ebikes you can scan and use at the bridge entrance of the village and plenty of restaurants if you prefer to be close to the hotel in the evening. The room was large, extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. I had a patio and view of the mountains. The host is absolutely amazing - he does everything he can to make you feel at home and your stay comfortable. When he knew mozzies loved me and I’m always hot he kept a room keycard permanently in my room with mozzie repellant plug-ins on and the air con so my room would be bug free and cool. He found out I loved watermelon and bought them especially for me offering them at meals and when I returned from sightseeing. I got home late one night and hadn’t eaten and he made me dinner at 10pm. He gave some small gifts to remember the place by when I left. He doesn’t speak English but between my survival Chinese and apps we were fine. If you want rest, quiet and super friendly service I’d definitely choose here. The style is Chinese homestay and the environment in and around the hotel is wonderful.

A great hotel little out and away from the city. It is located in it's own small village which is really quaint. Service was excellent with friendly and very helpful staff. Lovely large, comfortable room with decent amenities. Would very much recommend.

I have never experienced a hotel stay like at the Secret Courtyard Hotel. They treated us with such genuine kindness and consideration. Our every need was taken care of by the owner and his family who run the hotel and we never wanted for anything. I have only the highest recommendation for this hotel for many other reasons also: - It is set in a small riverside village tucked in amongst the beautiful mountains of Guilin. While still easy to access by good roads, the village itself is sheltered from the outside world by a picturesque bridge over the river. - The rooms are all top quality with all the conveniences you could need, plenty of space and great bathroom/shower facilities - There are some really nice tourist attractions within walking distance (2-3km) like the Reed Flute Caves and a very well renovated/preserved bean curd workshop that is really beautifully set on the river. The walking trails are also super well maintained and are filled with great photo opportunities 100%, 10/10, 5 stars, would recommend to anyone, every time - There are really good restaurants in the village (The owner has great recommendations!) - The City of Guilin is quite close, only a 15 minute taxi ride away

We stayed here for one night coming back from Yangshuo before catching out flight out of Guilin. Room is super nice and well decorated, but the bathroom a bit dirty; lots of hauts in the shower. The service was great though. There was many restaurants near by, but we eat at the hotel which was fine. Breakfast was good.

The environment is very beautiful, inside the scenic area, the room is clean and sanitary, the boss is warm and service-oriented, and gave us fruits, and also gave us fruits and water before we left.

In Lujia Village, the environment is relatively quiet and eating is convenient. The room was clean, there was a faint fragrance when the door was opened, and there was no peculiar smell at all. It only takes more than 20 minutes to walk to Reed Flute Cave. It is a trail in the jungle, so you don't have to worry about cars. Reed Flute Cave is not big, but there are few people and it is cool. If you have not seen the cave in person, you can go and see it. The overall value for money is quite high.
