"We had a great relaxing time in this hotel while visiting the red stone national park and Furong Town. They picked-us up for free at the train station in a nice SUV, arranged a fair-priced transportation back and forth to the red stone national park and also offered free drop-off and pick-up at Furong ancient town. Our butler Binbin did his best to help and was very nice. The only things that disappointed us was the management of the facilities like the bar which had no AC turned on while it was more than 30 degrees, so it was basically a sauna...we would have loved to have a drink there enjoying the view. The restaurant is unfortunately very different from the dining room picture advertised (which is only used for breakfast and is also very hot during the day). We would expect to see someone around to serve and also a menu with some snacks at least. The pool, although beautiful and with a great view, has only one bed so not even a couple can really relax side by side...and again no service or anyone around to get some drinks or so. The breakfast is served rather early and only within a span of 1,5 h, from 8 to 09:30. Apart from this the hotel is located in a calm area where you can really relax just some minutes outside Furong town."

"A very good homestay experience. The hotel is on the mountain on the banks of the Lishui River, a 17-minute drive from Furong Ancient Town. Even if you come back after watching the night view of Furong Town, it is very convenient. Compared with the lively in Furong Town, this mountain inn far from the smell of fireworks is more fresh and comfortable."

"This is a high-end homestay with exquisite decoration, unique room layout, comfortable and warm, and good hygiene in every aspect of the room. You can see the entire Furong Town and Youshui River while lying on the bed. The boss and employees are very enthusiastic, helping us carry our luggage and providing free transportation to Furong Town for sightseeing. In short, it is worth choosing this homestay for this trip. I am very satisfied with the overall feeling. If I travel next time, I will stay at Shangxi Homestay again."

"Back in Hong Kong, has been busy since, not for the hotel reviews, it's too much. If I had to comment, I would give it 120 points. The day I arrived when it was more than 9 pm, the boss also arranged to pick me up immediately to the high-speed rail station, after arriving has smelled the fragrance of flowers in the room, because it has been in a hurry, no time to eat, the boss may have woken up the boss specially cooked rice noodles for us. In the morning, I saw from the terrace that the dishes we ate last night were picked fresh by the boss every day, no wonder they tasted them when we ate them yesterday. The hotel was very clean and tidy, I booked a far room with a terrace, you can see the panoramic view of Hibiscus town, which is beautiful."

"The front desk was friendly, check-in was easy, a deposit was required, and check-out was quick. The hotel decoration seems to be old, and there are many places in the corners that show the vicissitudes of life. The housekeeping was generally OK; the glass windows were sealed and could not be opened for ventilation. There is a vegetable market downstairs, with many restaurants and fruit vendors, and a supermarket not far away. The shower room is too small, and you have to be careful when turning around; the wash basin faucet needs to be left with cold water for a long time before hot water comes out. The hotel has its own parking lot, which feels a bit cramped."
