Hangzhou Shangcheng District Hotels

Hotel is very strategically located, the train station is nearby and there are lots of interest shops and restaurants right on the street outside. The room is also very spacious and clean, and the staffs are very helpful. Will definitely come back here!

Check in was efficient and room had a great view of the lake. Breakfast was simple but fresh and adequate, there’s something for everyone. Amenities from the heated toilet seats, Dyson hair dryer, complimentary tea, fruits and drinks, excellent location, wide beds and friendly staff won us over. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at Friendship Hotel! Now when we think of Hangzhou, we think of Friendship Hotel too. We will definitely be back so please keep up the good work!

Facilities: The hotel has been newly renovated, and the room I stayed in was in Building 1, which is novel and tasteful. There is a parking lot for convenience. The air conditioner in the room blows fast and the temperature is suitable. The garden inside is very quiet, the bathroom is dry and wet separated, and the TV screen is large with many programs. Hygiene: The room was clean and the amenities were complete. Environment: The unique location on the West Lake, one minute to the dock, nearby subway and bus to the scenic area or East Station Airport are very convenient. Service: The front desk manager, Mr. Li, provided excellent service. He greeted us warmly and proactively. There was a robot to help deliver items to our room. The experience was very good. I recommend staying here.

room was slightly smaller than expected. floor space could barely fit our 2 big luggage and 1 small luggage i couldnt use the projector as it keeps shutting down due to the machine being too hot. but i turned the ac to 16 deg, room temp was 23 deg. might be due to the dryer being used at the same time. recommend having a separate dryer machine as the in room dryer cant fit 3 ppls worth of clothes at once... amenities was 10/10, hotel stay came with many freebies :) appreciate the wet wipes and sanitary pads staffs were kind, although they kept forgetting to provide the 3rd bath towel on 2 of 3 days. had to keep reminding them, understand that very few cleaners were cleaning up the rooms in one day and were very busy. but :( family room should default to replenishing 3 of each towel, slippers etc location was rly good, right behind in77 malls and near west lake i would use this hotel agn :)

Excellent Stay – Highly Recommended! I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities provided. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep. The location is very convenient, close to major attractions and public transport. The breakfast was delicious, offering a good variety of options. I also enjoyed the facilities – everything was clean, modern, and well-kept. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would definitely come back again. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers!

The hotel is located in the plaza, not far from the station. My room is on the fifth floor, quiet room. The room is very cozy and clean. Inside there’re basic amenities including electric kettle, hair dryer, toothbrush, toothpaste, slipper and grooming stuffs. However, there is no refrigerator and bidet, and wifi is quite slow. The staffs are very nice and friendly though they cannot speak English, they still try to communicate with us. Language barrier seems to be a big problem everywhere in China. From Thailand

Lovely hotel! Our room was spacious and we later found out it was because this hotel had yoga as its theme with a mat and other equipment provided. Beds were very comfortable, they also had memory foam pillows for each guest. Large TV screen with plenty of channels, adjustable air conditioning and robot delivery. There was also a fridge in the room which we found to be a rarity in China for some reason! Trendy areas like in77 are reachable by a 15-20min walk and the famous Longjing tea shop street is just behind the hotel. The only downside was that the water pressure from the shower is really weak. The electric toilet also doesn’t heat up or auto flush so felt a bit useless. There were also a few stains on the wall and the ‘Push’ ‘Pull’ stickers were all incorrect in our room - funny because it was both in English and Chinese. The lift is shared with the hotel next door, which you always will pass the lobby of when you enter/leave the lifts. One nice thing was the smooth auto lighting around the hotel floors. We didn’t have the breakfast but the restaurant area looked very pretty also. Would stay here again!

Love this hotel location, as it is strategically located on the right side of the Hangzhou railway station, and only 3 min walking distance. The Cheng Zhan (城站 地铁站）metro is also directly opposite the hotel, less than 2 min walk. This hotel stay is one of the best experiences, especially because of the helpful and friendly front staff, Mr. Sam Xia. He shared his experiences of 西湖 with me and also recommended me places to have my meals. He even offered his mobile number to me when I told him I needed a local number to order from Dianping app. I also got a late check out at 4pm! All thanks to him. The deluxe king room is spacious and the bed is so comfortable. Laundry and dryer are free of charge, and breakfast spread is nice too. Only downside is the gym where the weights are few and the ventilation is quite poor. Will strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is coming to Hangzhou for holiday!

It was a very comfortable stay. The family room we booked had one queen and one super single bed which fit us very well. The amenities provided by the hotel was great too. Water, kettle, coffee, tea etc was well replenished. Location was also perfect, not too far from the Xihu and shopping malls stretch IN77. Many eateries, convenience shops just below and one famous Japanese bakery that opens till 2am. Hotel staff were helpful and the tour agent there was great. We just did an ad hoc day trip and the driver was accommodating, knowledgeable and patient. All good. Highly recommended.

3 minutes from Metro line1, 3 minutes to west lakes. Surrounded by restaurants, shops, all the happenings of the city; what more are you asking for? The strategic location of the hotel is a plus plus point in deciding where to put up in Hangzhou. The hotel room is modern, clean and quite spacious albeit not really soundproof. Amenities provided is equivalent to what an international hotel chain is providing. Staff are well versed and knowledgeable in delivering their services.
