"Place was extremely convenient, next to Hikone station and walking distance from almost all of Hikone's attractions (Castle, food street etc.) To enjoy Lake Biwa, you can get a rental cycle for free, you just need to check with the concierge 😄 Other than that, the residents of Hikone were really friendly, even at non-touristy restaurants and izakayas. I had a great stay."
"This was my first time using this hotel.
There is a welcome drink in the lobby, and if you need loungewear, you can take one from the area next to the lobby.
There are no convenience stores nearby.
The station is right in front of the hotel, so there might be one on the station side.
You can hear the voices and noises in the hallway quite a bit.
On the other hand, the noises outside don't bother me.
The refrigerator is very cold.
Free breakfast is included.
It's free, and yet so good! I was more than satisfied!
They even have a daily smoothie.
I hope they keep it up."
"It is quite far from Hikone station.
It's a car or a taxi.
There are convenience stores around, and there are a few places to eat.
the taverns
It will be in front of the station.
However, the building is kept clean and easy to spend.
I think it is a comfortable hotel with a large bath.
If you are on a business trip by car, this is recommended."
"I recently stayed at AB Hotel Hikone and had an exceptional experience. The location deserves a solid 5 stars—it's conveniently situated at 5-9 Daitocho, Hikone, Shiga, offering easy access to key attractions. The cleanliness of the hotel is commendable, earning another 5-star rating. The staff was friendly and accommodating, though a slightly higher rating for friendliness would enhance the overall experience. The value for money is excellent, with top-notch facilities that deserve a full 5 stars. The breakfast exceeded expectations, earning a perfect score. Overall, AB Hotel Hikone provides a fantastic stay with its prime location, cleanliness, value for money, and outstanding facilities. I highly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a delightful and comfortable accommodation experience in Hikone, Japan."
"Room is clean and room is large. Room facilities is enough for a traveler. But the breakfast has a few choice and does not taste good, just fair. Too crowd in the lobby at about 6:30 am breakfast time and have to queue up for a long time to get a breakfast"
"It was my first time to travel to Hikone with my family. The scenery is beautiful, the service is friendly, and the shuttle bus is very convenient. You can see the beautiful scenery of Lake Biwa from the hot springs, which is worth enjoying. There are paid washing machines and dryers available! Thank you for your attentive service."
"9 minutes walk from Haogen JR Station. The two grandfathers are the reception of the hotel. They are very old-fashioned. Whether it is decoration or facilities, they are very retro (haha, it should not be retro) but very clean. There are bicycles to use. Go to Haogen City to see the ”Nei Ancient Cat Adult” is actually more pleasant to walk. Haha, very happy place to stay, it is convenient"
"Every time I go to Hikone, I will definitely choose this hotel. Facing Hikone Castle and Hikone Moat, the environment is elegant. The old street nearby is filled with a strong Edo atmosphere, I like it very much!"

Amazing
AAleksandr S. 1986I really liked the hotel. Beautiful interiors with natural and expensive materials, a magnificent onsen with a view of the lake, very beautiful sunsets. On the 10th floor in the evening you can enjoy the views and drink a glass of wine. The dinner is very tasty and varied, thanks to the chef! I also want to note the politeness of the staff. Thank you!
MmicacatThe breakfast is very good and the hot spring experience is also very good. There was no one when I went there, it was just a charter. The location is right by the lake, comfortable and quiet, there is a 7-11 next to it, you can do some simple purchases. The owner of the hotel is a kind and amiable grandmother, who can recommend local activities to us in simple English. I am very grateful to her for taking care of her for a few days.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very special and antique. I like it very much. The house belongs to the level of cultural relics protection. To experience the old-fashioned Japanese-style room, this is the best choice. Breakfast is also worth trying. A few minutes walk from the ancient city of Hegen. 15 minutes walk from Wuhu. First arrival recommended to call from the train station, 900 yen, easy and convenient
I used it for the examination.
I think it is high for the quality of the room, but there was no other good place, so it was no choice.
