Elephant & Castle

Like most hospitality they didn’t seem to have enough staff. The room was good but above the bar area and quite noisy. Breakfast was really good but we were not asked what we wanted we were just given a full English breakfast There was no questions about allergies or if we were vegetarians.

No central heating in our room. We were cold and wet after our night out in Holmfirth and ended up with flu for Christmas!

This is our 4th stay here, it was a nice surprise this year to see the rooms have had a beautiful refurbishment. The towels were soft and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely as well

Lovely stay rooms recently redecorated spacious room with a lovely en suite. Hotel had a live band on which was good . Breakfast was very good and they catered for my dietary requirements all in all excellent stay definitely go back

A wonderful little place to stay over the weekend. The room was clean, warm, nicely decorated and cosy. The bathroom was spotless and the kettle in the room for hot drinks was a nice touch. The only issue we had was with the position of one of the single beds being close to the windowsill (the corner of the sill is quite sharp and as a fidgety sleeper I came home with a few bruises from it). The staff were kind and helpful, and even though the pub below was busy, noise wasn’t an issue at all. The included breakfast was top notch. The backdoor entrance was also very helpful as we stayed out late. Would absolutely stay again 😊

We were attending an event in Holmfirth and found the Elephant & Castle perfectly located. Our room was recently renovated and was clean and crisp, everything literally brand new. Breakfast was tasty and well made with quality ingredients used, although variety is currently limited due to the kitchen being refurbished. It’s an old, quirky and traditional pub which we loved and would be happy to stay here again.

Another great stay at The Elephant&Castle, Alison, Kellie, Libby and Ben made us feel welcome and the service as usual was awesome. Thank You
