A Regrettably Poor Experience at Townplace West Kowloon Hotel
I recently had a stay at the Townplace West Kowloon Hotel, and it was unfortunately a very disappointing experience. The hotel not only failed in service but also in basic hospitality standards, making me question its value for money.
My first encounter with the hotel’s service issues was at check-in. Despite attempting to check in early, I was told to return at 4 PM. However, upon my return at 7 PM, the room was still not ready, causing unnecessary inconvenience and frustration right at the start of my stay.
The service continued to be subpar, particularly interactions with a staff member named Justin, who displayed a lack of professionalism and responsiveness. This was especially evident when basic requests, such as room cleaning, were consistently ignored, even after multiple reminders.
The room itself was a letdown. It was not only small but also lacked essential supplies, a surprising discovery given the hotel’s high pricing. The absence of toilet paper and the hotel’s failure to restock it despite requests was baffling and unacceptable.
Cleanliness was another major issue. The room was not cleaned daily, and even specific requests for cleaning went unheeded. This neglect extended to basic hygiene, with garbage bins left full throughout my stay.
Given these experiences, the hotel is remarkably overpriced for the level of service and accommodation provided. This stay significantly detracted from my enjoyment of Kowloon and left me regretting my choice of accommodation.
I strongly advise potential guests to consider these issues before booking at Townplace West Kowloon Hotel. There are many other options in the area that likely offer superior service and better value for your money.
