Hotels in Huidong with Swimming Pools

It's definitely not a 5* hotel, so don't expect much. The view is beautiful and breakfasts are more than decent. However, it's pretty much impossible to sleep because of the fireworks that literally never stop. You'd expect people to get tired and go to bed after midnight but no, the only quiet time is between 5am and morning. Well, if you wake up early, then never really. Also, it's the dirtiest beach I've ever seen in my life. So if you are looking for a good swim, look elsewhere. We were lucky to enter the water once during our 5-day stay. It's filthy, like you are swimming in a trash can.

We had a great time staying at the beautiful Howard Johnson Sandalwoods. The complex is large with many waterslides for young children to play in. However, during winter season most of the pools are closed. The beach belonging to the hotel is also clean. The breakfast spread is fantastic, with a good mixture of chinese and western cuisine. Mina the receptionist manager was very helpful in granting us special checkout extension till 3.30pm as my sister was feeling unwell during checkout and need more time to rest. I will definitely be back again and bring my children along.

(background: European but communicate fluently with staff in Chinese) The Sheraton welcomed us with a light-flooded lobby in traditional Asian architecture. A warm and relaxing impression. Location： The Sheraton is located between Xunliaowan (10min) and Shuangyuewan (30min), the two major tourist places on the peninsula. The hotel is located remotely, meaning no restaurants or supermarkets are close or outside the entrance. It shares the beach only with the Regal Resort, which is 1km down the beach. Therefore, its quiet and perfect for weekend-getaway from the busy city life. Facilities: The hotel offers 3-4 outdoor pools and 1 indoor pool, some remain closed/not in-use (hard to tell). Food: The hotel has a lobby bar which offers drinks and small snacks. We ordered a coffee there to be served at the pool, which was challenging and took some effort, but finally possible. (Chinese speaker) The breakfast restaurant is located on groundfloor serving up to 10:30am. Apart from common Chinese dishes, I am interested in the continental food variety, here the hotel was offering very soft ”french style” baguette, 3 different types of cheese, and smoked duck breast as cold cut. Also, the hotel offered fresh salad buffet with a good variety including olives. For a 5 star hotel, I would expect fresh orange/fruit juice, which I could not find. The hotel offers a BBQ restaurant/bar at the waterfront, so we tried Shaokao around 7pm. we chose a 298Y package for 2ppl. The food quality was very poor and we had to return all sausages and ask 4 dishes to be put back on the BBQ. Any street BBQ tastes way better. First we were told all drinks are included, later a can of beer cost CNY40, So we had to pay additional CNY120. Disappointing experience for a 5 star hotel. Service: Concierge welcomed our taxi and opened the door, but did not offered any help for our luggage. Check-In took almost 20minutes (excluding waiting time) which is long for a 5 star hotel. We were told to go to the room, however, there wasn't clear signage where to find the right elevator to our room. Being at the pool, we tried to order drinks, as the hotel lobby is 10min away. It seems this customer wish is new to the hotel and we had to beg the hotel staff to find a solution for us. For a 5star hotel, I do expect being able to order/buy drinks/water at the pool area. The sunbeds at the pool needed cushions which are quite heavy and were located in a hidden area. (Hard to find for guests, so most guest just used their room towels on the hard benches). I would have wish that there is staff guiding/helping on that task. The F&B staff seems not well trained and supervised. Unfinished drinks have been thrown on the ground in the outdoor areas, food waste has been put in little plastic bags and clients tissues were used to clean tables and get them ready for next customers. We had to ask staff proactively to clean our table of used plates and bowls.

This place was amazing. Upon check in, I realized I didn't reserve the room I wanted. My mistake, as I wanted a deluxe room, but ended up reserving a regular room(no bathtub). I really wanted that tub. The front desk agent, Karry was able to make things happen, and I ended up with an even better upgrade than I could hope for. I was staying at the hotel with my wife and daughter, so I got upgraded to a suite. Incredible room, and that tub was everything I was hoping for. The amenities at Dusit Thani were great too. Fisherman's cave-great dinner buffet. The water park was stupendous, proximity to the beach - again, great. I could write a book about how great this hotel was, and I don't think I would stay anywhere else on a return trip to Huizhou. Special shout out to Karry for bringing the magic to my family's vacation.

We stayed here for 2 days and everything was wonderful!! Thanks Moris for the help the second day, the amenities are great, view from anywhere is beautiful and the service is perfect. Everyone is very friendly and helpful! Will be back again for sure!!!

The hotel was nice. We were given a top floor room,it was really spacious, clean and had an amazing view!!Amenities and services just as advertised. The location was really convenient, lots of Chinese/foreign restaurants around. The hotel is right at the beach which is great (umbrellas and chairs were paid tho). The buffet breakfast was well organized, food selection was ok, nothing fancy. The hotel is a bit old and is lacking the feel of luxury but overall we were satisfied.

Facilities: The facilities are very user-friendly. For example, there is a shelf for towels next to the shower room. You can reach it with your hand, which is a very convenient surprise! Hygiene: Hygiene is very good and the quilt is very clean! Environment: The lady at the front desk specially gave us a first-line sea view room. The 180-degree sea view balcony is really great👍 Service: The service is very good, all the staff will take the initiative to say hello! Breakfast: There are many varieties of breakfast and it is delicious! Taking photos: Taking photos at the beach is really nice!

The receptionist, Zhong Guanghai, has a very good service. During the whole stay, he can reply and provide assistance as soon as possible. Like it! ! ! The restaurant downstairs of the hotel recommended to us is good for the price, much better than the one at the entrance of the hotel. During the National Day holiday, I stayed for one more night. In the evening, there was a bonfire party and other programs in the hotel. The dolls were so happy. Overall, I was very satisfied during my stay! Will come again next time!

A special surprise stay experience! To sum it up: Recommended! The first is the hotel style, which is very exotic, and the room is clean and refreshing; when you enter the room, you will have an unobstructed view, the sea in the distance is blue, and you can see the Spanish town below. The view from the balcony is really worth it! The size of the bathtub is just right, and the toilet and bathroom are separated from wet and dry. After playing one night, I put on my own bathtub cover and took a beautiful bath to relieve fatigue. At night, there are fireworks on the coastline all the time, and the balcony can be seen from the barrier-free large viewing angle. I am really happy and excited! The hotel is 100 meters downstairs to walk to the Shuangyuewan Beach, which is very convenient; The next day, I hurriedly checked out with the high-speed train, and left my precious bracelet in the room (I rolled it in the paper and lost it when I left🫠) and found it when I returned to Shenzhen. Special thanks to Xiao He at the front desk! ! Especially patiently helping me find the relics, really touched! ! ! I omit N words of thanks here 🥹 Next time I should bring my parents to play, and I will stay here 😄

The room faces the sea and has beautiful scenery. There is a balcony with 180° full sea view. It is very comfortable to sit on the balcony during afternoon tea time, blowing the sea breeze and looking at the sea view. There is also a mermaid show (four time periods) in the lobby. Just downstairs is the beach, which is very convenient. The buffet breakfast is very rich, and you can bring a child under 1.2 meters for free, 1.2 to 1.4 meters is 58 yuan per person, and children over 1.4 meters are priced the same as adults.
