The location is good. From balconi can see the rice terrace and walk for 20min up to 九龙五虎观景点 Nine Dragon Five Tigers Scenic Viewpoint. The room is nice but ha no tea/caffe We asked for the show time at the Huangluo village but hotel did not give us any info. Saying that they don’t have any idea about the show. We asked for a ride to Huangluo Yao Village that is 10minutes ride and the guy in the reception charged us 70¥. After all, we need to know how to reach Guilin from the village but still the guy replied saying that we have to take a didi taxi. Hopefully, the people in the village are so friendly and helped me and my daughter to get the bus to Guilin for 80¥ only.

Relatively cheap accommodation with window/balcony facing karst mountain, and just 100m from the Li River. Some nice Thai themed embellishments decorate the rooms. Bed is only a small 'double' and has one useable powerpoint near bed right side + light controls. Aircon works well (only small room so to be expected). Overall, OK for 100 RMB per night, but does have a few issues. Booked the 'special promotion' room. Trip.com indicates a room size of 12m square metres, which is incorrect. I measured it at 9.5 square, including the bathroom. If including the small balcony (2.5 sq m), the total room area is 12m best case. Only large enough for single occupancy, with small amount of luggage. Two people would need to climb over eachother to move around. No where near enough space for two - luggage would need to be kept outside on the balcony! Hot water works but is not properly calibrated. Either boiling hot or freezing cold. Extremely difficult to find the right temperature to shower with any comfort. I put full hot, and waited. Water got super hot after 40 seconds. Adjusted to reduce by setting at middle between hot/cold, but water temperature remained super hot. Then pushed to full cold. Water temperature transitioned to cold 29 seconds later. Then put back to middle position but water remained dead cold. Tested this both ways for at least 4 minutes each and remained either scolding hot or freezing cold!! Hotel provides signs to indicate desire to 'please clean room' and I hang this on outer door handle for two days, but to no avail So can only assume the owners don't provide this service. This establishment is only rated as a 2 star hotel, and given the low price point, you really can't complain - on the condition that the tariff is low. Acceptable for 100 -120 RMB per night. Unacceptable for much more than this though.

One thing that stood out is their 24/7 home-like service. You can contact them anytime, and they are always responsive and helpful, which makes the stay very comfortable. They also offer 24/7 e-motor rental, which is a must in Yangshuo since it’s part of the local travel culture. Just a small tip — remember to take the umbrella attachment for the bike, the sun can be really intense. What truly makes this place different is the personalised, family-like service. The staff actually pay attention to your habits and travel style, and recommend activities that genuinely suit you instead of pushing touristy options. For example, one day we got caught in the rain while riding back. The staff had actually messaged us earlier to take shelter, but we missed it and ended up drenched. When we returned, they immediately suggested we take a hot shower and even prepared a pot of hot ginger tea with red dates, personally delivering it to our room. It was such a warm and thoughtful gesture. This is not a typical five- or six-star luxury hotel, but that’s not the point. The atmosphere is unique — cosy, warm, and genuinely homely. It feels less like staying at a hotel and more like being taken care of by people who actually care. Highly recommended if you value comfort, warmth, and a more personal travel experience.

This is a really cozy guesthouse, perfect for families. We arrived past 1 AM, so we didn't pay much attention to anything else that night. The next morning, we went down for breakfast with our kids. The landlady was incredibly welcoming, and her Guilin rice noodles were absolutely delicious – I had one bowl and then another! The place has an antique, charming vibe, and the host was super friendly too. We chatted over tea, played with their dog, and they even brought us some fruit – the shatian pomelo was amazing! All in all, it's a warm and inviting spot, great for families or friends traveling together. The price is reasonable, offering excellent value for money! Now, for the highlight of my stay: the guy at the reception. He was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived. He truly went above and beyond to help me. One evening, he even sat down with me over a cup of tea and helped me plan my itineraries, offering fantastic local tips. He arranged carpooling services for me, which made getting to the various sights so much easier and more affordable. My entire stay in Yangshuo was smoother and more enjoyable because of him. Xishihuashe is a comfortable hotel, and each room has its own unique design! The hygiene is good and the environment is quiet. Sitting on the hammock and looking at the beautiful scenery outside the window is very relaxing! It is highly recommended that you go bamboo rafting on the Yulong River, rent a tram to visit the Shili Gallery, visit the Xingping Ancient Town Observation Deck for 20 yuan, and go to Yitian West Street to eat beer fish!

I came here with my friends during the summer holiday, specifically for their restaurant which is on the must-try list. While waiting for a table, we found out they also have guest rooms. Hotel guests get a 10% discount and priority seating, so after seeing the rooms, we decisively booked one. Honestly, both their restaurant and guest rooms are excellent. The summer prices were also very reasonable, and the staff were all very polite and enthusiastic. It was our first time in Yangshuo, and they even recommended some fun attractions. The hotel can also book tickets for various scenic spots, so it felt like we didn't really need to plan our route much as they had everything sorted for us. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I bring my family next time. It's very close to the riverside and West Street, both within walking distance. The main thing is, their restaurant is truly amazing! Don't miss it if you come to Yangshuo!
