Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres - All Inclusive

(TL:DR) Oh my goodness! I believe Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres has potentially spoiled us for any other all-inclusive resort for some time! What an incredible experience! It is truly an all-inclusive experience, except for their off-site excursion company (GoMajestic), and their jet ski rental opportunity (Book those at the kiosk off the main walkway towards the family pool/sky lounge area!) We didn’t have much use for the butler service (1-2 times during our stay); however, Arturo was a sweetheart and very helpful! As far as tipping goes, we were recommended by others who traveled to similar resorts (Seeing as this was our first time!), to tip $1 for each drink at the bars, and $1-3 each at meals. We also did $5/day for housekeeping, because they did have to change our linens a few times during our 5-day stay. She was such a sweetheart and so efficient, so we were glad to do so. Not sure if they have teams or not, but we realized we had the same housekeeper every time, which was really neat! I’m not particularly sure if the way we approached tipping was appropriate/enough, but they were incredibly appreciative and respectful if it wasn’t (!) Highly recommend the swim-up suite with the outdoor jacuzzi! We were in room 3010 and it was absolutely wonderful - The jacuzzi was great for when the pools weren’t super warm, but you still wanted to be in water! The bubbles were very loud, but that was the only draw back! The layout of the resort itself was almost perfectly designed! The adult side is distinctly separated from the family side; the restaurants and shops weren’t far away or in the way; plenty of space to walk around and enjoy your privacy, yet still many community spaces for meeting people and making friends if you choose to! The beach was incredibly well kept. The beach was cleaned at least twice a day, with security guards walking around every so often to make sure the resort’s privacy and lack of vendors is maintained. We felt perfectly safe to walk the beach and stand in the water every night. The security guards would smile and wave to let us know we were okay, and they were also respectful of our privacy as we stargazed and chatted, soaking it all in :) The food was delicious! They accommodated everyone’s dietary needs very well, and we had so many foods to try! The buffet is great for lunch and dinner, but be sure to put reservations in for the dinner restaurant options when needed, because you don’t want to miss out! The restaurants are all included, except the steakhouse, which we plan on trying out on our next visit! Otherwise, Mar House is fantastic! We were fortunate enough to enjoy the lobster dinner there - It was some of the best lobster I’ve had in a while, and I grew up in New England! Every time we ate, the meats/seafood were incredibly tender and flavorful! I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, we absolutely plan on visiting again, and bringing friends! The resort caters to a wide range of individuals, and we can’t wait to introduce it to our friends and family! The only thing I’d say we wished was that there was one late night community space for the young adults to hangout at after Legends sports bar/club closed, because sometimes they closed an hour early, and then there was nothing to really *do* between 1 or 2am till breakfast, and not everyone wanted to invite brand new friends to their rooms 😅 We did make some great friends while we were there though, and actually have plans to visit them in their home cities this year! I hope more international visitors will be there next time though, as it seemed to be primarily Americans at the resort when we were there (!) 10/10 experience overall, and we will absolutely be visiting again soon!

Amazing resort! We will definitely be back and recommend to friends. The steak house and Italian restaurants are AMAZING! Nice staff and very relaxing resort

I believe this resort is fairly new, so we got it for a very good price relative to similar properties. I would probably visit again if a similar price were offered. However, there were a few things that were disappointing compared to other all-inclusives in the area. First is that the main pool felt very small, and there was not much seating available after lunch. The seating we did find, had a stereo blasting in our ears. Knowing this, if I did come again, I would book one of the rooms that have their own shared/semi-private pool access. Second, the evening entertainment started nightly at 9:30. I assume they want to do it after dinner but this felt very late to me, and we didn’t attend any of them (yes I’m old and want to go to bed by 10). Third, I really wish there was a coffee and/or ice cream shop. The non-Club rooms have pretty meh coffee, and even at breakfast we could only order drip coffee, no lattes etc. Now on our very last day, literally during check-out, I noticed the Piano Bar has an espresso machine. So maybe that’s an option; I wish I had known. Overall I would go back - the food was good, the staff were nice, there’s plenty of beach seating, and rooms are beautiful.

Our major complaint was that we did not receive the swim-up suite adults only room when we arrived. We were told the resort was full although we had booked the room 2 1/2 months in advance. We were put in a non swim-up room and told they would try to get us into our room the following day. We were finally provided with the correct room late afternoon the following day. We lost an entire day enjoying our swim -up room and had to stay around the resort due to needing to check out of our non swim-up room, move luggage etc. The resort told us that because we booked through ******* that they could not refund us the difference between the rooms. We are now working with ******* on the issue. To say the least we were extremely disappointed in how the resort handled our reservation. Beyond that the resort was beautiful, swim-up room once we got in it was the nicest we have stayed in, ocean and beach were amazing.

To loud, entertainment staff yelling , are you having fun, ******. Nothing to do unless you like to drink alcohol, and play stupid poolside games directed by loud staff. only good food was in the buffet.. they should get rid of all the restaurants except the buffet and add a dance hall and a bowling ally, along with an adult game room. That would give something for people to do after there shows. Out door Ping pong with a nice wind! Really, why not a bocce ball Cort, wind would not effect the balls. I can go on but what’s the point, not going back.

Property is located on a beautiful beach in Costa Mujeres. The staff with the exception of my assigned maid and Butler were exceptional, and the bar offered top shelf spirits (Don Julio, Patron, Hennessy VSOP, Remy VSOP, Tito’s, Grey Goose, etc). The biggest issues I encountered was with our maid, who refused to clean our room (change sheets, replace towels), to a point that I had to get management involved. The AC in the room did not work (had to sleep with doors open) and my butler was unresponsive most of the time I attempted to communicate with him. There are better priced options in the area, book elsewhere.

This was our 2nd time and I was disappointed in the beach access to loungers as a club member. Also, we weren’t able to get reservations after arrival for the restaurants we wanted.

Beautiful resort without the over crowded feel that all-inclusives can have at times. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The wedding we attended was beautiful and the entire evening went flawlessly. Our bartended Leal was a highlight of each day as he helped our group stay hydrated throughout each day! Loved our experience and will certainly look for a chance to get back soon.
