Ibis Istanbul West

Overall the stay was quiet ok, small rooms but one could manage but we were fooled by one of the employees of this hotel, never ever fall in the trap of these employees when they suggest you a tour package. Erdinç Izer at the reception of Ibis West was one such person who fooled us with a tour package and gave us exactly the opposite of it. We were suppose to get our personal car for the tour package, he gave us a pathetic tour with Azure Tour Agency, which we never asked for. Above all, Erdinc was rude and very rude when we came back, he started shouting at us when we complained about the tour, in his words ”what can i do, its late now, i can't do anything if your day is wasted” this is how he replied, Azure tour driver was talking on phone while driving on a hill top, we were not taken to the spots for which we gave the money, the guide was pathetic and worse, such a bad tour Erdinc provided us and wanted to shut the matter by saying, ”what can i do” extremely bad experience, guys never ever book a tour with Ibis west hotel, book your tour yourself after checking the reviews because Ibis west will provide you with a pathetic tour in which the hotel can earn by making lives of the tourist hell. We were a group of 10 people and all suffered with the pathetic service by Erdinc ... at last after yelling at us for about an hour he agreed to give us a 500 Lira discount as if he was doing some favour on us. Really bad and unprofessional behaviour, if by mistake Ibis gave us the wrong tour they should have apologised and should have returned our money back but ..instead of this Erdinc planned to shout at us and say ”i can't do anything in this” Above all, next day, Erdinc agreed to call the tour package person to talk, but to our surprise when we went to the reception the next day, Erdinc has already left and the tour package person didn't show up at all ... this is the kind of response we got from Ibis West hotel .. do not ever fall in their trap ... we are really not happy at all ... attaching pictures of Erdinc, watch out for this person in Ibis west .. whatever happens to you ..he might say ”what can i do in this, i can't do anything”

Your administrators and hotel service spoil our holiday. All requests are ignored. They absolutely do not care about requests until you start going to them and complaining. Please take steps to improve the quality of your service. There will definitely be a jamb in each room, they will not be eliminated for a very long time. In the first room there was a disgusting stench from the toilet, in the other room there were non-working lamps and the view overlooked a construction site with a garbage dump. In another room, which cost twice as much, a la deluxe room, the bathroom had uneven floors, which makes a health hazard, always huge puddles on the floor, you can break your head or even worse fly out of the panoramic window. There were no slippers in the room, shower accessories for two persons, toothpaste, only 2 small bottles of water, I had to call the reception 4 times, the administrators do not care about you. The water and snacks are overpriced. The restaurant is overpriced. They brought raw, not fried chicken at all, at least the waiter apologized and offered a free dessert. Dessert was brought to the room after 2 hours, after we got tired of waiting and called ourselves. In pool you must bring your own towels from room, also you have to buy swimming cap which is overpriced of course. It was one of the worst hotels we have ever had.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Elite World Grand Hotel, conveniently located on Basin Ekspres in Istanbul, and the experience was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment of arrival, the warm and professional demeanor of the staff was notable, catering to every need and making guests feel genuinely welcomed. The rooms are a true highlight, exhibiting a harmonious blend of luxury and comfort, with plush bedding, state-of-the-art amenities, and breathtaking views of the vibrant city of Istanbul. The attention to detail was evident, reflecting a high standard of cleanliness and a keen eye for aesthetic elegance. The culinary offerings at the hotel are exceptional. Each dish I tried was a dance of flavors, paying homage to the rich culinary heritage of Turkey while also offering a variety of international cuisines to suit every palate. The dining atmosphere was equally commendable, providing a pleasant backdrop to every meal. The hotel’s location is highly advantageous, offering easy access to a myriad of Istanbul’s attractions, shopping destinations, and dining options. Whether one is in the city for business or pleasure, the Elite World Grand Hotel’s location ensures convenience. Furthermore, the range of facilities, including a well-equipped fitness center and a serene spa, added an extra layer of indulgence to the stay, allowing guests to unwind and rejuvenate effectively. I extend my sincere compliments to the entire team at Elite World Grand Hotel, Basin Ekspres, Istanbul, for making my stay memorable. El Emin İstanbul Hotel

Kucukcekmec Istanbul|1.8km from Selami Ali Cami
I should firstly say that all staff at the hotel are amazing. They are polite and so helpful. One of the staff who stands in front of the door went to the road and found a taxi for us and bring it to the door when there was no taxi around. HOWEVER, generally the hotel cannot be considered as four star, it can hardly be a 3 star hotel. There are two significant negative points which makes the whole experience bad: 1. The room: room was big enough but the decoration and amenities were so outdated, the view was rubbish, when we entered lots of bad smell made us so disappointed. the bathroom was the worst part. broken shower holder (I told the reception but it wasnt sorted), shortage of toilet tissues, smell, broken toilet seat, awkward toilet tissue holder, etc. 2. breakfast: This was the worst part of the experience. The breakfast was so basic. just lots of cheese and cheese!!!, no cream, a couple of choices for bread, a few choices of sausages, all not really nice, very basic. occasionally you could find something else like aubergines. Fruits (whole oranges and pears and occasionally melons, not every day, and if you are late nothing. I had to ask the staff why the empty dishes are not updated and they said its finished, while all breakfast must be available during the whole breakfast time). same with juice (only lemonade every day) and again if you are late no juice. a hot drink, only tea!!!! unbelievably no coffee!!! When I asked for coffee they said you need to pay extra!!!!! BUT MOST TERRIBLE part was that the staff were told to ask guests if they need fried eggs (omelette in Turkish!). and when you said yes, they bring fried eggs but charge you 46tl!!! There were lots of arguments during breakfast between staff and guests about this. They also put some other sweets like pancakes etc. on the other side and children could see and ask for them, but again you had to pay extra. I had several arguments with staff and realised this has nothing to do with them. This is a wrong policy dictated by the manager who doesn't want to accept these are wrong. We have already paid extra for breakfast, why do we need to pay again for things like coffee, fried eggs, sweets, and so on? why things are finished before breakfast time finishes... overall, if breakfast and bathroom are important for you, and you want a hotel close to attractions avid this hotel. another thing was that during booking I saw there is a sauna and gym but no one gave us information about these.

It is a very wonderful hotel and has all the wonderful services. We had a great time at this hotel. We hope to return to the hotel on the next trip. The best thing about this hotel is that there is a person who is fluent in some languages, especially Arabic, and this is an excellent thing for people coming from Arab countries.

->Area and Surroundings: The hotel is at a walking distance from “Mall of Istanbul” for about 8 minutes. We arrive to the hotel by 1:00 AM and it was difficult for our taxi driver to find the hotel. The approach to reach is very desolated. ->Room: I was in a standard room. The room was decent size and the bed was comfortable. The room had all standard amenities like Hair dryer, safety box, a hot water kettle, a small refrigerator, Ironing board etc. What I found missing was USB charging points, which is pretty much a standard now for all the hotels. The room had a table and a chair for working on your computer / working otherwise. ->Bathroom and Bathing experience: The bathroom was decent in size. It had a congested WC next to a wash basin. It did had a bathtub in the bathroom doubling as a shower area as well. The water pressure was good enough in the shower. ->Hotel Staff: Extremely polite, welcoming, interactive and warm. ->Breakfast: The breakfast was well managed. The options were not as many as other good hotels but still a decent spread. We being vegetarians anyways are having very limited options to eat. ->Swimming Pool / Gym / Spa: I was not able to access the pool or gym. ->Lounge access: I did not have the lounge access. ->Special mention: Wifi is free, and the speed is good.
