"The location of the apartment is excellent, located opposite the Kagoshima Station on the island line (non-JR Kagoshima Central Station), the Sakurajima Port Pier and the Ocean Zoo are close at hand, and the Sakurajima volcano can be seen very clearly. Transportation is not too convenient. The room is large in size, and the decoration is uniquely Japanese-style exquisite, quite simple and clean. Air conditioning, refrigerator, washing machine, kitchen utensils are complete. Three adults and two babies stayed for four days and three nights. It is very convenient and comfortable. It is highly recommended. Fortunately, the night before leaving, I was fortunate to see the Orchid Festival Fire and Fire Conference held in Sakurajima Port. The locals were dressed in costume and came to the city. It was quite lively and atmosphere."
"Room was a decent size, fully equipped with washing machine, kitchen utensils, fridge, microwave. Very clean.
Unfortunately I did not receive the email with the entry code for the main entrance. That resulted in my waiting outside in the cold for almost an hour before getting the code through Trip.com customer service, before I could enter the building and into my room.
Also, Staytus only has a phone number to call for emergencies - it would be helpful to have at least an email alternative also, since foreigners may not have a mobile phone that can make calls in Japan. "
"The location is on the quiet side of the road, and it is easy to confuse with Hall 2 not far away. We went to Hall 2 and were told that the reservation was Hall 1. Simply not too far away. Chain hotel management, affordable. Good health, including free breakfast."

"The boss is like an artist, and the Japanese speaks quickly ~ In Trip.com, you have to use VISA cards, but you don't deduct money directly in the account, and you have to pay cash on site. The location of the homestay is on the bank of the Sapporo Island Volcano. The homestay has a rooftop. You can go up to enjoy the cool and watch the sunset and watch the volcano. It is still very romantic."
"They were very helpful and kind in explaining the procedures for my first stay.
The facilities were also more than sufficient for a large family, so we were able to stay comfortably.
We'll definitely be back!"
"Take a long-distance bus to Kagoshima for one night, the next day to take the ferry, the bus is late, the hotel has been 23:45, the night shift management is still from the lounge to check in intimately, the room space is relatively large, the facilities are complete, clean and tidy, cost-effective, praise"
"Kagoshima Central JR Station can be reached by walking a few hundred meters. It is an apartment hotel. You can check in downstairs in the apartment yourself. You must register the guest's message on the email sent to you by the other party in advance. When you arrive at the door, pay attention to the unlock password with the door gate in the email sent to you. All Japanese and English emails may be a headache to find passwords. Enter the hotel on the first floor to check in. If you register your own message in advance, you can directly use it to connect to your QR code, and then scan the code + passport to take pictures to check in. When you check out, you have to go to the front desk to operate once, otherwise you will be regarded as you have not checked out yet.
In addition to the cumbersome check in, other places are not bad. The apartment is located in the local residential area. It is very quiet. There is a family convenience store about 200m away. You can also wash clothes in the room and dry them with the drying function of the bathroom. The room area is also larger than the hotel at the same price. Overall, the price/performance ratio is very good."
"The room is not small and the transportation is convenient.
But it didn't clean for three days.
This day, the quilt is obviously thick.
The quilt cover is not well covered, it feels unclean
The room is a bit musty
There are bugs
Water leaking from the balcony"

Amazing
OOrez TsangThis is my first leisure trip in 2025. That's a vey good experience trip with my wife.
A modern and comfortable lobby lounge area provided a nice coffee area for a easy breakfast before my day trip. On the final day, i enjoyed the full buffet breakfast and staffs were really helpful with that gave people nice day beginning.
Onsen provided me an refreshments daily and made me energetic, also relaxed me as happy ending.
I forgot the female staff who received my fruit on 14Jan night. She and her colleague assist us to prepare the fruit which purchased outside. It was my nice dessert that night.
Another memorable gentleman on 13Jan overnight, i was handling some business during overnight in sudden. Therefore, i went down lobby to complete it. He approached me for assistance and offering me help for wifi service.
For the design of lobby, this is very great to locate the front desk towards the main entrance and the most front line to welcome guest. The FO team need to perform the most professional and consistently services. Especially the cold weather, they keep a good image to maintain professional.
The shuttle bus driver was nice to take care us every evening back to hotel.
For the room reservation, we selected the room with beautiful view Sakurajima and i could enjoy my drip coffee myself to see the sun raise.
I will highly recommend this hotel to my friends.
DDaisyJJRSuperb hotel with direct access from JR station, and 1min walk to the tram stop and sightseeing bus stop. Staff was polite and patiently assisted and provided map on information we needed. Lovely bath salts for our use. Self service luggage deposit allowed us to continue exploring the city after checkup.
Recommended stay at Kagoshima.
AAnonymous UserBest hotel choice for location. Right in the centre of Tenmonkan. Plenty of food options and shopping. Even the airport shuttle stops directly at the hotel front (50m). It is walking distance (20min) to Kagoshima-chuo JR station, but if you choose tram or bus, the stop is also 100m away from the hotel. Setback is only the bath amenities as shaving foam, face wash and lotion is not provided (make sure you bring your own). Public bath is ok, has a sauna which is good. Check-in and out process is fully machine automated with a luggage storage section too at the side. Very easy. Breakfast service staff is very good, only four breakfast set choices if you purchase it as part of your room but quality is very good with local taste. I suggest you try at least once the breakfast if you stay here.
LLengLeng323A very good memories staying in Richmond hotel Kinseicho, the staffs are very friendly, and it is convenient that there are laundry serivce(washing machine at the hotel) and free ice cube to take at 9th floor. The room was big though for one person staying. The environment was clean and quiet, I hope next time can bring my family here to stay. For the location, temonkan is nearby and easy to walk around Kagoshima city, I walked from hotel to Kagoshima Chuo Station, very convenient
AAnonymous UserHuge bath tub within the room. Slightly bigger room than japan's average because of that but living area is smaller as a result. There is a sofa in this room but that takes up the space for luggage. Overall pretty good. Just opppsite the jr station with underground access. Sakurajima was covered by clouds when I was there.
YYomingsssThe location is amazing. It is literally IN TRNMONKAN, across the street is the tram station that will take you to Kagoshima station and other places as well of course. Along the street is the bus station, it’s very very convenient. However, since it’s next to the tram station it can be slightly noisy but if you bring an earplug that should cancel the boise from the train. The room is small but good enough for a solo traveller like me. There’s no staff to attend you. Everything is self service. You check in and check out using the check in machine. It’s very convenient! Instructions are clear and straightforward. Enjoyed my stay here!
KKevinWould definitely stay at Nanshukan again! It is a business type hotel offering all the basics. Great fir solo travelers, couples etc. the room was spacious and clean.
It is centrally located so it’s within walking distance of several sightseeing spots! The ferry terminal to Sakurajima is about a fifteen minute walk! The airport bus stop is about ten minutes .
But fir me the breakfast was amazing. You can choose between WASHOKU( Japanese style) or YOSHOKU( western style). I chose the washoku and it was an amazing assortment of little breakfast goodies with hot miso soup and black pork shabu shabu , too!
Great way to start s day!
Come and enjoy a night or two at Nanshukan!
GGuest UserI loved staying here!! It had such a great communal vibe to it. One of my favorite memories from traveling Japan is sitting at the low tables in the common area, eating a convenience store dinner and watching baseball on the tv. I was only there 3 nights but it felt like it would’ve been an easy place to settle into for a longer stay. There was a fridge and kitchen, two showers & toilets, laundry, luggage storage, lockers, etc. Very close to the train station. Rooms were clean, I felt like the staff did a great job on the upkeep. I would definitely recommend you stay here. The only thing to be aware of is that the mattresses are really thin so the sleeping surface feels really hard.
AAnonymous UserThe counter staff is friendly. The location is ideal, close to the central Kagoshima, very convenient. The sanitary environment is ideal and very satisfactory . The basic facilities are complete.
