"The location is nice and quiet, walking distance to other restaurants through the beach. The beach is very nice, clean and good for kids especially when the tide is low.
Our Cabana was spacious, beautiful, although a bit dark. The water pressure was low and we didn’t have hot water. We asked them to fix it but it didn’t happen on time before our check-out. We stayed for two nights.
The pool has a waterfall, and it looks a little run down. Nice view to the sea from the pool, though.
The breakfast (included) was ok. Fruits, bread, but not many options for vegetarian/vegans in the menu. Dinners were good. Overall, a beautiful hotel, kind staff, great location, maintenance response could be better."
"A good hotel in harmony with nature, a very quiet place, but also wild, you can't walk anywhere and there are no other restaurants nearby, except for two beach ones. The pool is large, clean. Breakfasts were delicious and varied every day. The pillows are very soft, the mattresses are comfortable.
Of the minuses: upon arrival, everyone was offered a welcome drink, but not us for some reason. Also, there was hot water only on the first day at lunchtime upon check-in, on the other days it was warm, and on the last day of our stay we washed ourselves in an ice-cold shower, like in a one-star hotel, this really spoiled the impression.
The hotel restaurant cooks breakfasts well, but when we came in the evening for dinner, it was like a different establishment with terribly tasteless food, we ordered pizza - it was dry, the sausage was salty, a lot of tasteless ketchup. We also ordered pasta carbonara - it tastes better, but it turned out to be greasy and the taste is also not good."

"An incredible resort, delicious breakfasts, super friendly and wonderful staff. The lunches and dinners weren't very expensive but they were so delicious! The rooms we stayed in were small pods with beds and a shared bathroom in the middle, but for being in the middle of a jungle the number of bugs was so low inside the rooms. The beds are soft and they give you free water and coffee every day and have refreshments at very fair prices at reception. Amazing snorkeling - you're at a coral reef already! They rent out snorkels , but it would be better if you brought your own. And it's in Tanote Bay, so you can swim out and jump off the rock all you want! Renting a scooter was very simple and inexpensive. The beach isn't very long and it's a Pebble beach so make sure you wear your sandals. But the island is small and boat tours around the island to other beaches aren't expensive."
"I stayed at their hostel room only because there was no other option as the island was fully booked. Pools looked nice, the breakfast view was fantastic, staff were nice. The dorm situation was just uncomfortable, as there was zero privacy. The shower/toilet was very tiny. The blanket they give at check-in was very weird and without a sheet, but very clean."
"We stayed two nights which was enough for us. Outdated rooms, but big beds that were comfy. Unfortunately had to move rooms halfway through due to availability. Location not too bad. No hot water one night. Tv did not work."
"That was just a perfect stay in this 5-star hotel. I have stayed in different hotels on Koh Tao, and Koh Tao Regal was the best! For the affordable price we have got a spacious room with a nice balcony with an amazing view to the beach and swimming pool. Though some people say that furniture is a bit old, we did not care. I wish i could stay in this hotel for a month or even longer. The hotel has 3 huge swimming pools! I guess just couple hotels on Koh Tao have swimming pools of that size, because we are on the island, with lack of fresh water! Amazing! And the beach is almost under your balcony. I fell in love with this hotel!"
"Very nice, one of the cheapest options we had, But we were positively suprised. Included pickup at ferry dock, even though we hadn’t discussed this with the hotel. Good swimmingpool and friendly staff."

GGuest UserWe had a great stay at Tarna Align. The check-in service was incredibly fast, with a staff to tour us around, followed by a buggy to bring us to our villa.
We love the fact that we can WhatsApp to communicate with the hotel staff and they reply rather immediately with decent English too.
The hotel provides free shuttle to the town. If it’s out of the schedule, you just need to pay 50 bath per person per trip for the driver to bring you to town.
Clean room with no sand, comfy bed and pillows, we are very happy with our stay and highly recommend this place for those who would enjoy some peace and privacy.
The hotel even gave little cute yummy snacks after making the bed.
The hotel can also help you book a snorkeling tour with Oxygen tour.
We are also really happy that the hotel provides water in glass bottles.

AAnonymous UserThis place on arrival was quite messy with old furniture items in the walkways to the rooms in sections
Hot water was hit a miss and outdoor shower was out of order in general items not maintained well
I was allocated a room on the third floor however requested a room downstairs and after quite a bit of time it was allocated - the next day I found out they had a lift, so could not understand why on checking in I wasn't told about it, even when stating my reason for changing room was I didn't want to walk up 3 flights of stairs no mention of lift - this would have saved the drama
I was not impressed at the beginning and the girl at reception was lovely however stated that she couldn't do much as I was uncertain the hotel was clean given the state of the hotel in parts I saw - the lovely girl call the Manager and was told if I wanted a refund to contact Agoda even though my booking was not with them however - the Manager who was on the phone, refused to speak with me a paying customer - any person who runs a hotel in that position should speak with a customer - this quickly told me why the hotel was poorly run with a Manager who couldn't even try and resolve certain issues I had - I wasn't after a refund, infact I asked to pay for an upgrade but there wasn't one available - that was ok but it's not ok for a Manager to treat a customer like she did - very poor example for her staff
The breakfast was nice and if it wasn't for the staff being so nice, it made things nice and hotel was ok

Fff88Bans! Been in and out this place throughout the years since 2015 and kept coming back wether I dive or just having a chill trip in koh tao. Bans, was by far MY FAV for many reasons. Location is great, big resorts, i am in love with pool with cafe (behind the lake) and their outdoor shower + amenities! I enjoy my morning dips, my painting session, my coffee and books afternoon. Just this time round, it was just a tad different feelings and experience. Mostly are still great but theres confusion of the room booked and the actual room itself (i reckon website needs to be updated and clearer details) and a minor incident where I have to pay additional 1 night just because the reception didn’t remember that Ive paid which partly my fault for not asking receipt and or prove of payment. Also, Bans used to be having such a great team member in service but ive came across some that’s quite cold and impatient unfortunately this time round unfortunately. sad 😢 and last thing my room floor were sandy meaning the room cleaning isnt that immaculate. Hopefully, next time I go back “home” this feeling was just such indifference and bans will still be me fav.

GGuest UserA wonderful hotel, on the 1st floor a room with its own sunbed, access to the sea 🌞 we initially took another on the 3rd floor, but on the spot we decided to pay extra for such a wonderful convenience 😇 when checking out they allowed us to check out later and we stayed for 2 hours!
The breakfasts are delicious! The location is wonderful!

TtanknMany years ago, I came to Nanyuan to read it and finally had a chance to come again. I was a little hesitant to read the comments before, and the XC information was that there would be a power outage, but fortunately I didn't give up. If the environment can be six stars, I will play six stars. The South Park is so beautiful, especially when there is no one in the morning and evening, I quietly swim with the beautiful fish. The room is certainly not comparable to the high-star hotel, but the facilities are also available.
The room is still powered all day, and the air conditioner can always be turned on.
Resort dining is slightly more expensive in Thailand, but it is also an acceptable range, compared to drinks and water are a bit more expensive.
The attitude of the service staff is also not bad.
What needs to be said in particular is that the rooms are one by one wooden house located on the mountain. The cheaper the room, the more mountains, but the staff will help you carry the box.
BBaymoodsIt's a very good place to stay. Conveniently, the room is next to Shark Bay. I like that you can open the door and jump into the water. 😊 If I have a chance, I will definitely go back to stay at Ta Toh again. I will put it in my favorite place to stay.
KKevinGthis hotel isn't worth its price. if you want something comfortable, pick something else.
the good: it is family run so the staff is helpful (late checkout), they speak a bit of english. The room is clean and overall it's acceptable.
the bad:
- i felt a total lack of security. The checkin is at the ground floor, then the rooms start from 1 to 4 floor. all floors are accessible by a staircase which is directly accessible to anyone from the main road. Basically there is no garden/private area, the checkin office and the staircase are simply on the road. There is no staff after 8pm and the hotel is situated a little in the back of the town. So basically anyone can walk up the stairs. Then the door locker is really bad, there is no second security lock (which most hotels have) so this is innaceptable due to the fact that the room door is basically accessible to anyone from outside.
- the shower isn't great, the water is hot all day long (by sun) so no way to take a fresh shower at day. at night or early morning, the water is cold (or have to wait at least 5min to drain the water out)
- the hotel is pretty basic. for the same price you can have a swimming pool in another hotel..

GGuest UserThe location is near the end of the beach, so it's a bit of a walk to get to the ”main area”, but the distance is easily walked along the beach. This is also somewhat of a blessing, as it reduces the noise level at night. We stayed in an AC bungalow, which was nice. However, the shower had very poor water pressure, and there are no curtains on the windows, despite the fact that the other bungalows and rooms can look directly in on you... We had to find cardboard to cover them...
They have a restaurant on site, which is priced higher than some of the restaurants in the main area, but *most* of the food is good (not great), and the staff are really nice, so we ate there relatively often (as it was better than walking back and forth to the main area).
Despite some relatively minor annoyances, we'd happily stay there again, depending on the price.

GGuest UserYou will have amazing views from the room and the truth is that the staff is very attentive and always eager to help.
What I didn't like is that the photos do not match reality and the Risort is still under construction, it has great potential but it has many things to improve, the bed is not comfortable at all for the price paid, the decoration of the room It is very basic, it does not make you feel like you are in a superior Risort which is what you see in the photos, you will have the views, but do not expect great comforts, then it is built on a cliff and the hill to go to the exit of the Telita hotel hahahaha I find this difficult for older people, even though I believe that if it were home they have a golf cart in which they took our suitcases that could be used**** to help the elderly.
Another good thing and I recommend yes or yes is taking the boat from the hotel to the small island next door, it is 3 minutes but it is an incredible place that you cannot miss if you go, they also offer the option of renting a motorcycle, which is super good because you already pick it up from the hotel and when you leave you can leave it right there. That saves you the trip to another motorcycle agency of which there are a thousand!
In short, I recommend it because the stay, if I compare it overall, was good but don't expect great luxuries.

- far away from shops
- steep and broken road with a lot of holes leading to this place - my neighbors had an accident (not their fault, other guy bumped into them on this road and drove away) . they had to pay a lot for rented bike damage. I think that host should think about how to make this road safer for his guests - fix huge holes and install mirror signs , to be aware if someone going down.
- WATER - they do not have system water supply, they buy water. And if you are running of water in your bathroom - you should call host, ask for water and wait, wait, wait…
- NOISE - I lived in the down bungalow. And it is awful. I heard every step above me. Sometimes I woke up in the middle of the night from the noice that smtg dropped on me. Audibility is awful(
- no cleaning during 3 days
- host doesn’t have what’s up, you should only call
