Hotels Near Burial Site of Toyotomi Hideyori’s Head in Kyoto

This hotel is located right near the intersection of Shijo Horikawa. I checked in at midnight, but the front desk was kind and I was able to respond without a disgusting face. From the Shijo Horikawa bus stop, you can go not only to Kyoto Station, but also to famous tourist spots such as Kinkakuji, Kiyomizu-dera, Toji, Nijo Castle, Arashiyama, and you can go to Gion and downtown Kawaramachi without changing trains. You will need to change trains once, but you can also go to Nanzenji Temple and Ginkakuji Temple. If you walk a little, you will find Hankyu Omiya Station and Arashiden Shijo Omiya Station, and it is very accessible for sightseeing or business. There is a Family Mart just south of the hotel, and there are 7-Eleven ahead, so you don't have to worry about a little shopping. The accommodation fee was reasonable and it is a recommended hotel.

The water in the bathroom is very weak and bathing takes a long time, which is very unpleasant. However, there is a bus stop near this hotel. It is very convenient to go to the JR station. The streets nearby are also quiet. Unfortunately, there are no restaurants. There is only a Royal Host Western restaurant. The service is very good and the food is delicious.

New hotel, about 2-3 minutes walk from the station. There is aeon nearby, as well as Akechi Mitsuhide statue and castle. If your itinerary is mainly Arashiyama, this hotel is very good. It is very fast to get to Arashiyama and there are beautiful scenery to see on the way! Many people are taking photos at Hojinkyo Station. It’s not expensive during the maple leaf season, it includes breakfast, and you can even take a bath! ! The night shift counter lady is very cute😏! ! ! ! ! And English is very good! Single decisive exchange phone numbers! The room was clean. There were no people on the street at night. My view was of the hotel and apartment opposite, but the space in the middle was very open and felt comfortable. In addition to the TV cabinet, there is also a table for guests to put things on when dining, as well as a small sofa and a chair. Add points! ! ! In addition, the breakfast is also delicious. Most of the guests I see are Japanese. It takes two minutes to the subway station, and there is also aeon, Mitsuhide Akechi statue and castle nearby. It’s not too far from Kyoto Station, a 30-minute drive.

The hotel is a bit business style and the TV in the room is quite small. The hotel comes with swimming pool but you need to pay extra to use the amenities (about $10-20 per person). We felt the locals (taxi driver for example) aren't really welcoming foreigners (English speaking) and might act a bit rude, but besides that, the town is quieter than Osaka and we enjoyed dining at Yakiniku Yaruki - Shijo Kawaramachi (all you can eat BBQ with wagyu beef).

We stayed here for one night, I would like to stay longer. Close to Kyoto station, but I don’t like this part of the city. Whatever I like the hotel’s concept! It’s nice onsen hotel, where you have to take off your shoes before entering into the hotel, everywhere in the hotel is tatami, so nice to walk on. First floor is for onsen and restaurant. It was amazing breakfast, I think I can eat different food everyday and won’t be bored! You can make yourself coffee, matcha, tea or any other beverages, can make it with ice so on. Seriously, I was surprised about your food service, I have to mention about evening ramen for everyone, it was nice to eat after visiting onsen, I also grab an iced late after. In the resting area near the onsen gate there is free ice cream and diary beverages.

Location and facilities are good. Substandard quality of service and staff. The first day upon arrival, the hotel staff lost my luggage until I returned at 8pm and found out my luggage hadn’t been sent to my room. Turned out they searched everywhere and found my luggage. I had booked 3 nights stay in two different apps. The hotel staff told me to check out after two nights and check in again for the third night.

I stayed once before the renewal, but at that time it was not a very beautiful room for compliments. I stayed for the first time after the renewal this time, but it was no longer a separate inn. There was a preschool child who was originally prohibited from entering the store at the last 3 night dinner (except for rental), and it was not possible to slow at all in the gaga gaga and the ugly gakinko. American nostalgic design, close to Kusatsu Station, I have plenty of parking spaces for self-driving tours, parking 500 Yen per day, room equipment bathroom shower toilet is very good.
