Extended my stay for 1 night, after a 3-night good experience. Smaller room compared to the Twin bedded, but still comfy for one person. Breakfast is excellent, and very tasty. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Shenyang.

The hotel location is very near to a metro. Just crossing a road and a 5 minutes walk get u to the hotel. Food available around. Rooms are clean but because it is a low rise building, it will not be very very quiet. But it is ok as the windows and curtains are quite sound proof.

Excellent
AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is absolutely prime in Shenyang. It's just 200 meters from the subway and right in the heart of Shenyang's Middle Street business district. The Forbidden City, Marshal Zhang's Mansion, and Liu Laogen Grand Stage are all within walking distance, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel environment is also very comfortable, and the room layout is reasonable, offering great value for money. The front desk staff who handled my check-in were excellent; they offered me hot water, instantly dispelling the chill. The breakfast on the second day was also very plentiful. I highly recommend this place.
GGuest UserGave a perfect score 💯, providing my family and me with an excellent stay.
Ambiance: The first floor has a lobby, a fish pond, and a restaurant. The elevators feature nightclub-style purple lighting.
Cleanliness: The cleaning staff didn't slack off; the entire room was very clean. Disposable bath towels, regular towels, and toothbrushes were of good quality and safe to use. The breakfast could be described as 'small but complete.' The area is small, so the variety of dishes is moderate, but it has all the essentials. The stir-fries tasted great and were very clean. There were freshly cooked noodles and wontons, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Facilities: The mattress and pillows were perfect for sleeping; not the type that's so soft you need to use your feet and waist to turn over. The in-room refrigerator was by the bed and cooled effectively! It wasn't just a decorative prop. The shower worked well, making for a very comfortable shower experience.
Service: The service was impeccable, with timely responses to guest needs.
Downsides/Areas for Improvement: 1. After returning home, I noticed a cigarette smell 🚬 on my pajamas, typical of thirdhand smoke. (Allowing smoking directly lowers a hotel's standard; if you're content with the status quo, then so be it.) 2. The afternoon tea cakes were of poor quality. At the same price point, small bread items would be a better option. 3. I chose this hotel from a list of luxury hotels. My experience was that of a superior star-rated hotel, but it doesn't quite live up to the word 'luxury.' The hotel's location is on a very ordinary intersection. The lobby and restaurant areas are just big enough for their functions. The guest room corridors felt overly casual even during the day, with daylight from emergency exits illuminating the entire hallway. A luxury hotel should have a sufficient sense of space, appropriate boundaries, and attention to detail. Currently, this establishment doesn't quite meet those points.
Aaiai0101Facilities: Standard hotel amenities.
Hygiene: The cleaning staff (auntie) was very diligent; much appreciation to her hard work.
Environment: The pick-up/drop-off area on the first floor was very crowded with many cars. The front desk on the 88th floor was excellent, with a vast view as soon as you step out of the elevator – comparable to Xiamen's Kang hotel.
Service: Throughout our stay, we didn't see any bellhops or concierges guiding guests to the front desk for check-in. We drove ourselves and were carrying luggage, but the bellhop nearby acted as if he didn't see us. We booked an executive room but didn't even receive welcome fruit – we had to ask for the 'little tiger' (presumably a kids' amenity). We had noted in advance that we needed a children's toothbrush, bed rail, and small potty, but our request was ignored. There was nothing in the room, so we had to call again. Breakfast was indeed not good and very crowded. The executive lounge was decent. We were traveling with elderly parents and children, so we just wanted convenience.
The service at Shangguan was excellent! Enjoying drinks with the kids, admiring the night view, and listening to live music was a great experience.
AAmanda H.J. WuThe hotel room big & clean. The location is only about 5 to 8 minutes by car. The hotel offer free shuttle service to send us to the airport. The only weak point is the hotel nearby do not have any restaurants. Need to walk about 15 minutes to the small eatery shop which we did not eat dinner there. In the end, we walk back to the hotel & ask the hotel staff to order food delivery for us. The hotel staffs are friendly & helpful. Highly recommended if u are taking an early flight & need to reach the shenyang airport early. This is a good one to stay.
GGuest UserWe were three adults and five children and booked this eight-person family suite. The two-story suite was spotless. While it didn't have a washing machine, the host was incredibly accommodating. Upon learning of our need, they went out of their way to come over after 10 PM to help us spin-dry our clothes, which we deeply appreciated. The guesthouse's location was incredibly convenient, making it super easy to get around via the subway. Definitely recommend.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is super convenient; you can see it right from North Station and even access it directly via an underground passage. Subway Lines 2 and 4 are right downstairs, making transportation a breeze. Taxis can also drop you off directly at the hotel entrance. Breakfast is available, though the variety is pretty standard. They also offered a complimentary business lunch or dinner, which had limited options, but it was enough to fill you up. The room looked exactly like the pictures, but the cleanliness details weren't great and definitely need improvement.
CcindyI have to say, the bathhouses in Northeast China are truly amazing, haha! The facilities are top-notch. The first floor has water play areas and hot springs, perfect for families with kids – they won't want to leave! The second floor has various hot spring pools, less crowded, ideal for adults without kids who want to relax and enjoy themselves. The third floor features a restaurant, a汗蒸 (Korean-style sauna), a kids' play area (naughty castle), and a cinema. The fourth floor has mahjong rooms and various lounges. The outdoor area looks like a lot of fun, but my child was too young and the weather wasn't warm enough, so we didn't go to any of those. Also, the most impressive and longest swimming pool only opens on May 1st. For dining, there are both buffet and à la carte options (the restaurant has different time slots; once the buffet ends, you can order à la carte). The buffet offers hot pot, BBQ, and seafood – excellent value for money. If you're not staying in a villa, your accommodation will be in the same building as the hot springs, on the 5th floor, which is quite convenient overall. The hotel breakfast is very rich and, in my opinion, even better than the hot spring buffet!
GGuest UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location, just minutes' walk from the subway station and shopping district, making travel incredibly convenient. The rooms were clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the front desk staff were warm and attentive. It's great value for money, and I'd definitely stay here again next time!
GGuest User5/5 Location wise, you couldn't find a more perfect homestay. Literally built within the walls of the Shenyang palace, an easy 5 minute walk down the main street to the Shenyang Imperial Palace and Huaiyuanmen station just outside the palace walls. The room was immaculate with brand new furnishing as the hotel seems to be newly renovated with an Art Deco vibe. For the price you couldn't ask for any more.
An absolute joy to stay at, the front desk service was immensely helpful with advice and even offered to wash and dry my clothes upon request on the first night. Couldn't be happier and will return, thank you so much!
GGuest UserWhat a surprise, I booked it for one day at first, fearing it would be uncomfortable. I didn't expect the boss and the front desk service to be so good. So I booked another day. The air conditioner in the middle room was broken, so the boss took the initiative to change the room. The cleaning lady was as warm and welcoming as a family member. She took such good care of our family that we felt embarrassed. The hotel is not far from anywhere and has its own parking lot. I had a great time staying in Shenyang this time. Thank you to all the hotel staff and thank you for your service.
