Hotels near Chiyoda, Tokyo

After an early morning red-eye flight, I spent the morning exploring and was absolutely exhausted. I just couldn't walk anymore and really wanted to check in early. I arrived at the hotel at 1:40 PM and was told I'd have to wait until 3 PM. So, I settled into the lobby. After eating some pudding I bought from FamilyMart, I dozed off for a bit. At 2:08 PM, I was woken up and told I could check in. I was really happy. Walking into the room felt great because it was bigger than I expected. I immediately crashed. I had set an alarm for 3 hours, but I woke up on my own after 1.5 hours, feeling much more refreshed. I then immediately took a shower and a bath. The water was incredibly hot; I had to add cold water to take a bath, otherwise, it would have been scalding. By around 4 PM, I felt completely re-energized. The room was clean, and perhaps because I was just backpacking, it felt spacious enough for me. The transportation nearby is very convenient, with Kanda Subway Station (Ginza Line) and the JR Yamanote Line. Getting anywhere is a breeze. There are many izakayas nearby, but I didn't get to try any this time. If I come to Tokyo again, I would definitely be willing to stay here. However, the in-room facilities are a bit old. The smart toilet isn't one of those automatic flushing types; you have to manually press the handle. The height of the sink was quite puzzling; it was too low. I feel like it could have been 10cm higher. Other than that, there were no complaints. The front desk also offered a variety of pillows, but I didn't take any. Finally, I wasn't charged the 100 yen fee. Also, late check-out is 600 yen per hour.

I chose this hotel for a business trip because of its convenient location. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the subway station, which is pretty decent. Regarding cleanliness, the hotel does a thorough cleaning every 3 days. In between, they change the trash and towels. So, you might find yourself doing most of the tidying up yourself. For breakfast, there were a lot of foreign guests, and it was Western-style. If you wanted coffee, you usually had to wait in line. Maybe I was just going down during peak hours because it was so crowded that I gave up and just had cold milk instead.

My stay at the Akihabara Washington Hotel was quite enjoyable. The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Akihabara Station, making it super convenient to get there with luggage in just a few minutes – perfect for first-time visitors to Tokyo. There are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so grabbing a bite or exploring in the evening is a breeze. While the room wasn't huge, it was well-designed, clean, and tidy, with enough space for my luggage. The soundproofing was also better than I expected, allowing me to sleep soundly. The front desk staff were very professional, and communication in English was no problem; both check-in and check-out went smoothly. Overall, it felt like a consistently reliable and comfortable hotel, one that you can count on not to disappoint. If your itinerary mainly involves exploring central Tokyo, especially areas like Akihabara, Shinjuku, and Ueno, this place is an excellent base. I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Tokyo.

Not too far from the subway, with plenty of dining options, convenience stores, and pharmacies nearby. It's also a reasonable walk to Tokyo Station. I met a Chinese-speaking staff member who was very kind and helped me with check-in and luggage storage. The front desk area is compact. They provide complimentary toiletries and bagged coffee/tea. The room is small but has everything you need. It wasn't too noisy at night despite being street-facing. Plus, there's an extra electronic security door on the second floor, which makes it feel very safe.

Very good hotel. I stayed there for 9 days and was satisfied with my stay. The rooms are typically small, but there is enough space to fully open a large suitcase. I lacked storage space, but there were hangers and a corner in the room where I could place my suitcase so it would not block the walkway. Overall, it was clean, although a bit dusty in some places. The hotel is not very new. The air conditioner and shower worked well, and there were no strange smells. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. I was checked in quickly, and upon departure they allowed me to leave my luggage in storage. The front desk provided extra towels without any issues, and if you don’t need any housekeeping, they give you a coupon for a free bottle of water. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. It is a two minute walk from the nearest metro station, with several stations nearby offering direct routes to major tourist attractions. Also about a 30-minute walk to Tokyo Station. I would definitely stay here again for the location alone. Overall, I was satisfied, the hotel is definitely worth the price if you book in advance.

This is a self-check-in place, which was very convenient. In the lobby, they had skincare products like lotion and emulsion from Kose, and even bath salts – perfect for a relaxing soak after a tiring day. The surrounding area is great too, with a bookstore founded by Mr. Lu Xun and a century-old tempura restaurant. Meiji University is also not far away.

The staff is friendly and it is clean. The price is reasonable. I would like to stay here again if I come to Tokyo. I am very satisfied.

Ok just want to get the cons out up front before I start raving about how much I love this place: it's not fancy. It's very 80s, it looks like an office was converted into a hotel in a hurry 40 years ago. The bathrooms are tiny and feel like an airplane bathroom. There are some bumps and scrapes on some parts of the walls. BUT. The rooms are huge y'all. Like, big for an American hotel let alone a hotel in Tokyo. And they have a little balcony! And bathtubs! They are not very long but they ARE very deep. I spent at least an hour soaking after each long day of walking around the Tokyo metro area. It's really close to Kanda station, which is very convenient. It's like 20 minutes to most major tourist areas by train, and since it's not a major tourist area on its own, the train is not too busy even on weekends. Since it is a little tucked away, it's really quiet. If I hadn't seen other people in the lobby I would have thought I was the only person in the hotel. The amenities are great! Most hotels charge a lot for things like toothpaste, etc, but they give it out for free! Even hairbrushes! And they have two vending machines with drinks, one of which is free (coffee, tea, hot and cold cocoa). The beds and pillows are very firm. This is a positive for me since I have a bad back but some folks might not like that. The staff is so nice. They spoke enough English that I didn't have to struggle with my 15 year old rusty Japanese and really took good care of me during my stay. The room was beautifully reset every day while I was out - bed made, fresh towels - and everything was in its place as you would expect. I even left some money on the table by mistake when I was out one day and it was still there when I got back. I will definitely stay there next time I go to Tokyo. It's an excellent value.

The location is quite convenient, close to Akihabara and Ochanomizu Station. The breakfast was just so-so, but luckily there's a FamilyMart downstairs which is very handy. The price is reasonable, and I think I'd stay here again if I get the chance.

Location is excellent. Very clean. Walking distance to many shops that we wanted to go. Staffs are friendly and helpful. However there were only 2 washing machines and each wash takes more than two hours. Queue can be challenging especially when there are many people staying. And also there are no hot water dispenser at the pantry ground floor. Have to take cold or room temp water in kettle and bring to room to boil for a cup of hot tea or coffee. Other than that, this hotel is recommended due to its location.
