Hotels near Setagaya, Tokyo

The complimentary coffee and water was very helpful. The location is good, but it's a shame that there are only stairs to the lobby. I wish they'd at least install a ramp.

Setagaya Ruigai is a full-floor apartment in Setagaya Ward, west of Tokyo. We rented a twin room that sleeps four. Located in a quiet residential area, we drove there, but while there's no dedicated parking, we found it easily accessible nearby. The apartment is clean and simple, with basic appliances and furniture, and clear instructions for use. Cleanliness is excellent, and a washing machine is also provided.

I wasn't able to handle the ID and key arrangements myself, but when I contacted them via email they handled it smoothly. Thank you very much. It was a quiet and comfortable stay.

Very conveniently located hotel, not far from the busy streets near the Shimokitazawa metro station. Excellent service, the rooms are a little worn, but not as critical as it seems when reading a lot of reviews - well, who cares if some of the walls are scratched by suitcases. This is natural when the room is small, and it is basically impossible to unfold a large suitcase without hitting the wall. But the bed linen is clean, the bathroom too. The hotel cares about the environment, so it cleans every few days, but towels, etc. can be changed without cleaning the room, you just need to ask - here they meet guests halfway. There is a nice cafe downstairs, not wow-wow, but if you need to go somewhere early in the morning, it is very convenient to grab coffee and a bun / toast. I did not take breakfast. The bathroom is small, but all the shelves, etc. are conveniently located, there is a place to put a glass with a toothbrush / put out some of your cosmetics.

The location was great. I stayed for several nights and everything I needed was provided so I didn't feel inconvenienced. The bedding felt a little damp, which bothered me.

I stayed at Shinjuku Washington Hotel and unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations. I understand that hotel rooms in Tokyo are generally compact, but this one felt exceptionally small. There wasn’t even enough space to slide a large suitcase under the bed, which made unpacking and moving around quite inconvenient. The bathroom design was also problematic—the toilet and bathroom floor were noticeably elevated, so stepping in and out felt awkward and almost like a small jump each time. The location was another downside. While it’s technically in Shinjuku, the immediate surroundings felt more like a business district than a tourist-friendly area. It was quiet and somewhat gloomy, especially at night. Dining options nearby were limited and underwhelming. Although Shinjuku Station is within walking distance, the walk felt long and uninspiring, with very little to see or explore along the way. Starting the day with that walk was already tiring, and the thought of carrying shopping bags back made it even less appealing. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially for travelers with larger luggage or those looking for a lively, convenient base in Tokyo.

The location is good, about 20min away from Shibuya via the subway system. Quiet place with one or two decent eateries in the area opened until late at night if you want to have some supper. The room bedding is comfortable but the warm light on the bathroom makes it feel a little older. Would have preferred having a bright white light in the bathroom to give a more modern feel. Our selected room came with a kitchenette and washer+dryer which was really convenient and useful.

I was grateful if there were amenities such as toothbrushes, and when I put on two air conditioners, the breaker flew several times.

The hotel is located near Shinjuku and it takes approximately 30 minutes to walk there. It is also very close to the subway station. For the high price we paid I would expect a better room sincerely. It barely fits 2 people. Check in time is a little late (3pm) and check out is a little early (10am). The room was clean and quiet though and a whole range of amenities were included. We didn't try the breakfast and there is a Family Mart just downstairs.

Our first stop in Tokyo with the kids, and it was pretty good! Clean and tidy, and the room was a bit bigger than I expected. The surrounding area was quite convenient. The room service staff were friendly and accommodating to all our requests. Would consider staying here again next time.
