Hollybank House

What a beautiful place to stay. The house was so beautiful. Our room, The Green Room, was so comfortable, with everything one needed. We had a lovely walk around the garden. The rhododendrons were stunning as they were in full bloom. Just a shame we couldn’t stay for breakfast as we had a boat to catch.

Booked my Mum in to Hollybank House and couldn't be more delighted. She was given the most beautiful room which made her stay extra special. The hosts are so welcoming and you feel comfortable and relaxed as soon as you enter this lovely location. Would love to have stayed for longer and we will definitely return.

Absolutely beautiful period house brimming with authentic architectural features and furnished accordingly. We loved it. Stunning house In stunning grounds. Our bedroom was large and comfortable. It was very peaceful. Breakfast was delicious and. cooked fresh to order. We went for a special occasion with family and enjoyed a private dinner party in the dining room, preceded by drinks and canapés in the drawing room accompanied by live pianist . Can thoroughly recommend for any event or simply as a base for a holiday. Friendly and informative hosts who cannot do enough to ensure you enjoy your stay. Thank you Roz and Ian

Beautiful house and gardens. I had a great view from my bedroom window of the garden and Chichester harbour. The room was spacious, warm, clean and the bed was very comfortable, best night sleep from home I have had for a long time. Host really friendly and available at anytime to help or advise if best places to eat. I can see why the house is so popular for weddings. I would recommend a stay.

Our family held my fathers wake at Hollybank House and my husband and I stayed overnight the day before. The room was lovely. Exceptionally clean, bed was so very comfortable with feather duvet and pillows and crisp white cotton sheets. Everything we needed was provided plus a recommendation to the Bluebell Inn Emsworth as a place for our evening meal, which was 5 mintes drive away. That was excellent too. From initial contact to the end of our event, communication was prompt, informative and very helpful, even.pointing out things we as a family hadn't thought of. The venue is stunning, full of character, warm (it was very cold outside) and very welcoming with the open fire on in the sitting room. The food was excellent, and home baked. Attention to detail was present in everything that was done and our hosts were very attentive. This beautiful place, with its well kept grounds is such a find and we can't wait to come back. We and our family and friends included, would have no hesitation what so ever in recommending Hollybank House, which is run by a lovely family (and makes a big difference in our book) for any kind of event and for a stay somewhere to relax. “Impeccable” is the word we would use to describe everything about our stay in Hollybank House, from the lovely well maintained house and grounds, our clean, spacious and comfortable room and the nicely presented breakfast to the friendly welcome by the family. It is also located in a lovely area. We hope to return sometime, we imagine Spring would be a great time to visit when the large number of Rhododendrons lining the lengthy drive should be in bloom. This August, we held our wedding reception at Hollybank House, and we can’t say a big enough”thank you” to Ian and Roz. Right from the outset, they listened to us, and made constructive suggestions to accommodate our wishes; we undoubtedly benefitted from their expertise and imagination! This preparation led to a relaxed, stress-free experience; the Hollybank Team provided constant, low-key support throughout our day to ensure it ran without a hitch. Hollybank House is a truly beautiful venue, and its garden stunning. The lovely dining room was the perfect place for us to entertain our 30-strong party formally, before relaxing in the airy drawing room after lunch for tea and (wedding) cake. We and our guests were then able to spill out into the garden during the afternoon/evening, to enjoy boules/quoits - and even brave the zip-wire in the grounds! We’d booked the 4 wonderful bedrooms for some of our guests, and it was a real treat to enjoy an informal breakfast “the morning after the night before” with our family and friends - with no pressure to rush or leave. We utilised the services of Hollybank house to provide a family wake and I cannot commend their services highly enough. Organising and booking was very easy, we had some particular dietary issues which were accommodated with ease, and perfectly. The wake was absolutely in terms of style and approach what we were looking for, the premises that it was held at namely Hollybank house was a delightful venue, the food was excellent, the hosting just what we wanted and everybody appreciated and enjoyed the event. The scones were particularly appreciated! Highly recommended

Thank you for a great welcome. A fantastic house on beautiful surroundings. Comfortable, friendly and welcoming . Everything spotless. Great breakfast. The staff were efficient and helpful even though they were in the middle of organising a very busy day. Would love to stay there again.
