Clarence Street Town House

Me and my 2 friends had a lovely stay here, the apartment was very clean upon arrival, and it was only a short walk to the city center. We had no problems with check in, and we got sent the codes to get into the property promptly after the deposit had been taken on the day. I do think a security deposit of £200 is a little steep, given the rate they are charging for the apartments. The only downside was the apartment was freezing. Instructions were left for the electric heaters, however it seems you could only turn them onto 'boost' mode for up to 3 hours at a time, so by the time they had started to warm up, they would turn off and wouldnt come back on. I probably wouldn't stay here again just for the simple reason it was freezing cold, the only heater that provided any sort of decent heat was the one in the hallway. We had the ground floor apartment 2, and there was a lot of noise coming from the apartment above us. Overall, had a great stay.. just wish it was a little warmer!

We booked this apartment when everything else was expensive due to a football match in Liverpool. The property is well located and secure. The sheets, floors, kitchen, etc were clean and tidy. On the less ideal side... The owners can't help the views out the window, which are not picturesque. However, there are other issues which are more important. The property is run by an office, and sometimes communication is a little confused with multiple people working. The small print notes they demand a big deposit (£200 for us) and need you to send government issued I.D. in advance - it is easy to miss these details but they are crucial. In the apartment itself, the sofa bed was rather small. Worse, I don't think the pictures shown reflected the apartment we got (they must have more than one): there was no door between the bedroom and the kitchen (where the sofabed was). So my snoring permeated the whole place with no barriers! Finally, the duvet for the sofa bed was in a terrible state with stains on it - that was unforgivable. We got in late at night, so couldn't contact the owners about this... But the apartment in general did have some value, especially if used for one person sleeping on the main bed.

Mother and 2 daughters left apartment spotless, as we found it only to be told we are not getting full deposit back because of stain on mattress... Absolute lies, disgusted by this. Couldn't provide proper evidence. Will never be back.

The property was perfect for what we needed. Close to things we wanted to see and do, quiet and comfortable. However, the check in instructions were really unclear and I was scrabbling to send ID and payment details whilst travelling up to the property as this had not be requested and it wasn't until I called to ask for check in details that I was told this was needed. This should be made much clearer.
