Hotels in Kensington, London

The hotel was in a great location, a quick walk from Kensington High Street tube, and a pleasant 20mins walk to Notting Hill. The hotel itself in entering was very pleasant, looked inviting (with a Starbucks to one side but still within the same atmosphere and decoration) The staff were all friendly, concierge being the most willing and happy to help. The room was a bit disappointing. Appeared very grey and dark on entrance, but everything was clean had what you needed. TV was opposite a small settee, but far more comfortable to sit in the bed so the tv was across to the right, feel the room was too small to have a settee/sitting area as it was immediately next to the door. Didn’t feel inviting. But after the initial disappointment it didn’t need to be much more for our needs. We then used the pool area. Again a bit like the rooms this is a tired looking area, the pool sides stained and peeling bits here and there. The hot tub and steam room were both closed, but swam a few lengths and then used the sauna which was within the changing room area. Sauna was good hot enough too! We were going to have room service as a bit of a novelty, but thought the bar area looked nicer to sit for an hour or so so had a meal there. This was the biggest disappointment and extremely over priced. I was possibly unlucky and ordered the wrong thing, but would not eat here again. I ordered ‘Crushed avocado on a toasted bruschetta with slow roasted tomatoes’ and a side of chunky chips. This can as a dollop of cheap guacamole on a slice of french basic baguette with half a cherry tom on top, 3 of these! I personally can’t eat guacamole on its own so had to scrape most of it off to then eat the bread (and only did because I was by then hungry) Besides that I would stay again but would rather not have paid the price we did.

The location was great between two locations. The hotel was clean. Just one small issue is where our room was there's a constant sound of some sort of engine/machine operating in the background. Other than that the area was quiet. Very clean.

Residence Inn Kensington is our choice every time we visit London. Location, service and comfort are the reasons. Our appreciation to Bianca of the front desk who provided exceptional and efficient service when we checked in. Thanks to AJ for helping us to store our luggages when we left London for another trip for two weeks. The cafe offers delicious English breakfast. Special thanks to Happy who was very attentive to our needs. I’ll give our stay 10 out of 10.

This is my go-to hotel whenever I'm in London for business. Given how expensive London can be, it's quite a large property, and the price definitely fits within our company's overseas expense policy. It's conveniently located, just a five to six-minute walk from the nearest tube station. The rooms are quite spacious for London standards, though they don't compare to a Hilton in China. The facilities are a bit dated but well-maintained, although the bathroom is on the smaller side. The front desk staff are really friendly, and there's a lovely festive atmosphere during the Christmas season. They also provide two complimentary bottles of mineral water daily.

Excellent location and very good value for money for London. Small kitchen very useful with all main chain food stores nearby. We always use for any London trips 👍

The hostel is really well located, the area is perfect from my point of view, ideal! It's an old house with a London style, no elevator! I was on the 5th floor and had to carry my luggage up the stairs!! There's only one bathroom and one shower per floor. The room is small but you have space to store your suitcase; you need to put a padlock on it, so bring one! The mattress is acceptable but the pillow is terrible, I had neck pain for two days!! I didn't use the kitchen but it's fine and has fridges to store your food! There's also a place to store luggage! The staff are young and friendly, and I think the reception is open 24 hours, which is great!!

Very nice service at the reception! Clean and quiet in the room and public area. The location is at residential area. We really enjoyed our stay with Kula team. We recommend this hostel.

The rooms are quite small, with barely enough space to accommodate two pieces of luggage comfortably. The breakfast selection is very limited and does not offer good value for money, so I would not recommend paying extra for it. They also don’t do room service. That said, the location is excellent - just a short walk from Earl’s Court station, making it convenient for getting around in London.

Great location near to South Kensington tube station which was on the circle line making it direct to St Pancras & Kings Cross. Opposite V&A museum, 5 mins walk to National History Museum. 10 mins walk to Harrods and near Hyde Park etc too. Special mention to Scott & Daniel (I believe) on concierge / front desk, both friendly, attentive and remembered details. Also the Dining Room Manager who after one sitting remembered us and where we’d sat for breakfast. Breakfast was buffet style and very good. For London prices we thought we got good value for money. Would stay again.

The noise downstairs is really too loud. You can hear traffic from the street both during the day and at night (24 hours). The main issue is that the hotel windows aren’t soundproof — they’re old-style windows.
