5-Star Hotels in London

We went to Art’otel Hoxton for our 23rd anniversary. Our experience was stellar. From the service, to the spa, to the accommodation, to the views, artwork, and the restaurant (Solaya) - the experience was unique and amazing. Every person working there was conscientious, warm, and willing to go the extra mile to make our stay special - from front of house to housekeeping. They added little touches -notes, a complimentary treat at dinner and to our room. Juliet, Vanessa and the rest of the Art’otel team, thank you - you made our anniversary memorable. The location is great, too! We will definitely be back!

Had a great stay, came back to London after a tour around the UK and checked in again. The hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance of Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, and the Royal Albert Hall. The bus stop is right outside. I particularly enjoyed the shops on both sides of the street leading to the subway station; it has all the well-known chain stores in the UK. Honestly, the price on Trip.com was the best option among all booking platforms.

Overall, it is ok, the location is also very easy to find, the environment is good, if it is a business trip, it is a good choice. With the early price, it is acceptable in the UK.

This hotel has a long history and a very British feel, making it great for photos. Its location is fantastic too, right across from Russell Square and less than 500 meters from the British Museum. Transportation is convenient: turn right out of the hotel and cross the road for about 100 meters to catch a bus, or turn right twice for about 200 meters to reach the subway station. The hotel staff are all very friendly. The front desk saw that we booked a triple room and kindly offered a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast wasn't extensive, but it was a decent, standard English breakfast. The hotel also provided two bottles of water and some snacks like biscuits and crisps. Apart from being expensive, the hotel doesn't have many major drawbacks. If I had to pick something, I'd say the air conditioning wasn't very strong (though it's impressive that a 135-year-old hotel has AC at all), the shower pressure was a bit weak, and the sink drain was a little slow. Anyway, the Kimpton Fitzroy is a good hotel!

We travelled with a 6-month old baby and we stayed at the Park Hyatt London River Thames in May 2026 in the King Corner Room for 4 nights and in the Deluxe Room for 3 nights. We were very impressed overall with the quality of the rooms and service we received. Location: The hotel is located in the Nine Elms/Vauxhall neighbourhood in Zone 1 of London. It is a little far off the centre and the main attractions in central London but that was fine with us and we intentionally chose this locations we wanted to be away from the crowds and noise in central London. Notwithstanding that, the hotel is located near the Nine Elms tube station which is on the Northern Line. It takes about 5 mins to walk to Nine Elms station and it takes about 10 mins to get from Nine Elms to Tottenham Court station. Room The corner king room was serviceable but the deluxe room was very impressive. The deluxe room was spacious and we had enough space for a crib. The finishings were very modern and tasteful. The aesthetics of the hotel evoked a sense of understated sophistication. As we were travelling with a 6-month old baby, the hotel also provided numerous amenities such as a crib, baby bathtub, bottle warmer, and steam steriliser. Service The service was impeccable and the staff made us feel very welcome. From the moment we got off our taxi, the porters greeted us and helped us with our bags. We were provided with water while waiting to check in. Housekeeping staff were always pleasant, non-intrusive, and warm and friendly. Everyone we met at the hotel were genuinely friendly and helpful. The first 4 photos are of the Deluxe Room. Definitely book the deluxe room if it is within your budget. We did not regret it.

My stay started off reasonably well, but the second night turned into a very frustrating experience. After my first night (booked via Marriott APP), I decided to extend my stay via Trip.com (which resulted in being assigned a different room), as overall the hotel seemed acceptable, though there were some minor issues in the room — for example, the faucet was loose, and the toilet made noise when sitting on it (to the point where I was slightly concerned it might not be properly secured). Breakfast was à la carte and tasted decent. However, the second night was extremely unpleasant. When I was about to go to sleep, I noticed black marks/stains on the bed sheets, which made me uncomfortable. I called the front desk, and was told that housekeeping had already finished for the day, so there was no one available to change the bedding and no immediate solution offered. When I asked what could be done, I was told that clean sheets could be brought to me — which implied that I would have to change them myself. Only after I questioned this did the staff offer to move me to another room. Shortly after, the staff came to my room and informed me that I would need to pack all my belongings and move to another room on a different floor immediately. I was also told that I could not leave my belongings in the original room. As she was the only staff member on duty, I had to handle all packing and moving myself. This happened at around 2:00 AM. I was genuinely shocked. Based on my past experiences with Marriott International hotels, the usual approach in such situations is to allow the guest to move to a new room to rest first, and pack belongings the next morning — especially at such a late hour. What concerned me most was not just the inconvenience, but the response. When I tried to explain why this arrangement was unreasonable, the staff focused solely on the fact that she was the only person on duty, rather than acknowledging the impact on the guest. The following morning at checkout, I raised this issue with the front desk. I received a rather expressionless apology, along with an explanation that she belive it was a “miscommunication.” This response felt dismissive and failed to address the core problem. Obviously, there are issues in: • Hotel management (only one staff member on duty overnight) • Service policies (no proper solution when basic room issues occur) • Staff training (lack of customer-oriented problem handling)

London's prices were much higher than expected. The hotel was a bit dated, and the bathroom sink drained incredibly slowly; it took nearly half an hour for the water to clear after washing my face. The location was excellent, right next to Hyde Park, and we also had a nice view from our window. However, at over 4000 a night, it still felt truly exorbitant.

The location is absolutely fantastic! Big Ben and the London Eye are right outside the window, making it super convenient to get anywhere. It's perfect for a city walk, and for a first-timer to the UK, staying here was a great choice. We even had a sudden spell of good weather, so after breakfast, we quickly went to snap some photos of Big Ben when there were very few people around – it made for some amazing shots!

Amazing location, amazing service. It was my birthday and the room was decorated beautifully with complimentary drink and chocolate. Could not have asked for more. The only negative was the room was extremely hot which made is very uncomfortable to sleep. On the second night spoke to front desk and they advised to turn all air con/heating off and brought us a fan up so the second night slept like a baby in very comfortable beds. The pool area was beautiful but u fortunately we ran out of time but when we have another stay at the beautiful hotel we will certainly visit it.

This was my favorite hotel on my trip to London. It's a quiet place amidst the bustle of the city. Every staff member was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The staff also spoke Chinese, and the young man from Hong Kong gave a very clear introduction. While the room wasn't large, it was well-designed. I brought my child here for exercise, and we let her talk with any questions I had. Every staff member was incredibly helpful, including the bellhop and the front desk staff who were always helpful if I needed a taxi. This made me really love London.
