Aapp1234When I made the reservation, I thought the room had no view, but perhaps because it was the off-season and I was upgraded, or perhaps because all the rooms had a view, I ended up with a room with a view of Mont Saint-Michel. There is a free shuttle right in front of the hotel, so I couldn't ask for a better location. To be honest, the dinner at the restaurant was a bit disappointing except for the wine, but I guess that can't be helped since there aren't many options in the area. All the staff were kind.

GGuest UserBasic room but very clean, reception staff is great, we visited on the day when the Olympic Torch was passing through so there were special arrangements for parking and shuttles, but it was well-explained upon check-in. Note: if you’re arriving by car you need an access code from the hotel to enter the gates to the hotel zone, if you book through trip.com the hotel will not email you directly, remember to contact the hotel for the code after you book.

Breakfast was a continental buffet with a variety of cheese, meats, bread, fruit, and cereals. A short walk from the hotel is a large selection of shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants. This hotel offers excellent value for money along with an excellent location to explore Cherbourg.

MMutaoThe hotel is in a very good location. There is a free shuttle bus to Mont Saint-Michel opposite the door. It is about 2.6KM away, with only two stops in total. To enter the area where the hotel is located (semi-enclosed area), you need to contact the hotel by phone or email 1-2 days in advance and tell them your order number or guest name. The other party will tell you the password to drive into the gate of the area. In addition, dinner in the restaurant here usually needs to be booked in advance, otherwise there may be no seats and no reception. The hotel breakfast needs to be improved, and there are few styles.

The entrance to the hotel and the whole area is behind the gates, so you would need a code from the hotel to get inside. Thankfully, I encountered a helpful local guy who called the hotel to get it - would be nice to have it upfront in my booking confirmation or somewhere else. Hotel itself is basic, does the job for a very good price, yet there are some things that you expect to have in the hotel: no elevators, no sockets near by the bed, no complimentary water, very poor to none WiFi - whole experience reminded me of a summer camp.

DDrignoidThis place is in a really good location and easy to find. Travel light though as there are no lifts and narrow staircases to carry your luggage. As most old places in Europe there is no air conditioning, so be prepared. You needed to step over the bath to shower so take that into consideration too. Our room was clean and had a small refrigerator, bonus in Europe. The restaurant has a good menu and drink selection. English is spoken, if required. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

GGuest UserThe hotel is well located at the entrance to the city of Mont Saint-Michel, but don't expect to see a surprising view of either the bay or the abbey. There are the roofs of the buildings that surround it that block the view. The room is quite spacious and well appointed. The bathroom has a corner bath, but no window. The beds and furniture are clean, but I was unpleasantly surprised to see the state of the window sills and frames blackened with dirt. I wanted to put my phone there to make a video of the sunrise but I was quickly challenged by the state of the windows. The hotel does not have an elevator and the stairs are quite narrow. Therefore, not suitable for the elderly or people with reduced mobility. There was enough choice for breakfast and the girl who served us was very nice. There were just some products (pain au chocolat, for example) that were not replenished. It was not yet the end of the service, however. We wanted to eat at the restaurant but the reservation is full. Surprisingly, passing there at the start and middle of service, a lot of tables are empty but we were refused access and sent to the restaurant of the nearby inn.
