This is a first poor experience I've unfortunately came across. The breakfast was not up to standard at all, especially paying 140SAR for a 4 star #1 premium hotel. We literally tried it the 1st morning but went out for breakfast the rest of our stay. The pictures online are deceiving. It's not what is advertised. I asked for a refund, and they unfortunately have refused. Trip.com however was willing to compensate me for the inconvenience caused. The room was really stuffy. Hotel definitely needs a revamp, as most areas in the bathrooms are stained and patched up where needed. The bathroom towels also needs to be changed. Last negative thing, it's highly overpriced.
On a positive note, the hotel staff is really responsive and the location is in walking distance to the haram.
Omer Almarwani was super friendly , he gave us a very big room with nice view of entrance street , overall staff is very nice , elevators at haram tower are super fast and too many elevators , 7 elevators I think , breakfast was good with Haram view , room is clean but wifi was slow
A hotel that definitely exceeded expectations. If you are going to Alula for a layover in the Medina, I would definitely recommend it. The front desk is open 24 hours a day, and the check-in time period written on Ctrip is wrong. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic. When they saw that I was bringing my son, they took the initiative to arrange a two-bedroom room. The room was spacious and hygienic, especially the kitchen, so it had all the facilities and was definitely suitable for family travel. The only drawback is that the road is being built in front of the hotel, so you have to go through a very narrow alley to find the hotel. This is the only problem, but this problem should disappear once the road is repaired.

Very nice hotel, modern and clean, great staff, comfortable and spacious room.
Small downsides: problems with hot water in the shower and the distance from Masjid Ennabawi due to work in the city but the hotel provides a shuttle before and after each prayer
This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. Location is perfect as it is 10 min away walking distance from the mosque. We also had breakfast and thought it to be okay.

I recently stayed at Faraj al Madiha and while it was a bit far from Haran, it turned out to be manageable. The hotel provided transportation for every prayer time, which was a great convenience and made my experience much more enjoyable. Overall, I found the stay satisfactory, and I appreciated the effort made to accommodate guests' needs.
*************, best location near nabawi. But when i want to book another night, i can not direct book at the hotel, so i booked it through OTA once again

Outstanding
AABI UWAISwe stayed at this hotel on 25 January 2024 until 2 & February 2024. Me, my wife and my son. I was initially a bit skeptical about this hotel because this was the first time staying in the hotel area facing the Prophet's Mosque. previously, 3 times before, when visiting the Prophet's Mosque, we stayed in the hotel area at the back of the Mosque. *************, the best experience with the hotel, which for me is a strategic location near the entrance to the front of the mosque. besides that, there are many interesting places nearby such as places to eat in Shariq Qurban Qurban with many delicious restaurants . The location is also close to the Quba Mosque. You can take a Buggy or Uber to get there. We even walked to the Quba Mosque. for me, a new experience with the hotel, which is the hotel officer during the check-in process was very friendly and greeted us well and was very fluent in English. The room was also very clean. The room cleaning process was very satisfactory. Highly recommended for families for the Ellaf At-Taqwa Hotel.
RrocktheworldBest of the best! Super clean room and extremely comfortable. Feels like home. Superb Location just next to the main gate of Masjidil Nabawi. Buffet breakfast was great and plenty of choices. Highly recommended
FFaka MazidatiPullman zam zam is my first choice when come to medina but now the service totally different. Reception: slow service
Food variety: average
Housekeeping: superb
AAbrar2483One of the best hotels near Masjid Al Nabawi! The staff are incredible! From the moment I arrived, Hassan from concierge assisted me with my bags and the staff at the reception were very friendly and they not only allowed me to check-in early but also upgraded my room with a partial Haram View! All the staff spoke English perfectly. The rooms are nice and spacious with modern furniture and the amenities provided in the room are perfect from bathrobes to multiple kits! The room was relatively clean however I’ve notice multiple finger prints on the refrigerator door as well as the bathroom door which shows those 2 areas weren’t wiped after the previous guests had left. The shower was perfect with nice hot water and the bathroom was spacious enough.
The hotel has 2 towers and we didn’t know which tower to go to so we ended up going to tower 1 were the receptionist informed us that our booking is in tower 2. I had an elderly guest with me and moving towers like this was very inconvenient. The hotel should inform the guests about the tower number and parking instructions before arriving at the hotel.
The hotel is very close to the Haram with just 6-7 minutes walk to both the men’s and the women’s entrance (door 11 and 12). Upon returning to the hotel, the staff were promptly situated outside the elevator doors assisting guests with the elevators.
About the breakfast. It was fantastic! The options available were great and included selections of
cold appetizers, bakery items, main courses including french toast and pancakes. The breakfast staff were very friendly and efficient and they never said no, especially Riaz he served us coffee and hot chocolate. The items were being refilled quickly. The 2 ladies welcomed us for breakfast with a huge smile.
Suggestions to improve breakfast:
1) there was no live cooking counter for omelette. The omlette was being cooked in the kitchen and was being stocked in the hot plate. It would be great if the hotel could consider introducing live counter for omelette as it really would help us guests to make the perfect omelette for ourselves and eating it warm and fresh. Other hotels do have a live counter.
2) Though all the breakfast items were great, the French toast wasn’t good at all! It didn’t taste like a French toast. The sambosas were undercooked and very chewy so wasn’t able to eat them. Improvements on this will make the breakfast experience perfect!
One more thing to add is that the staff not once said “No”. They always accommodated our requests whatsoever. I asked the reception for a plastic chair for my elderly mother to sit and take a shower, thought they didn’t have it, they offered us to switch to an accessible room with no additional costs!
The hotel is not very busy and crowded as I didn’t see any groups here. I hope the hotel can maintain this very same standard or else it’ll be very easy to be like the other hotels who don’t care about guests.
All in all, I’ll definitely choose Al Manakha Rotana again on my next trip to Madinah and wishing this hotel success!
KKendana TamizThe hotel staff is great, I lost my key (card room) in Masjid Nabawi and they didnt even charge me with anything.
We can also put the luggage after check out in the safe place.
The building is older, but functional.
We dont have to wait for the lift because there are 6 lifts for the building alone.
I’m shocked that the shampoo and soap is from Brooklyn, which I’ve visited New York in May but no time to visit Apotheke 😩
Near gate of Masjid Nabawi from the hotel is 365.
You can choose this hotel instead of Pullman Zamzam if you have strict budget like us.
Because the location is not that far from gate 365.
This gate is near Rawdah.
Ps: I take this photo right before check out. Sorry for the mess
HHairi RazakThis Hotel near to Masjid Quba, Masjid Bilal.
This Hotel is on the west side of Masjid Nabawi.
Walking distance to Masjid Nabawi.
Walking distance to Chef Market.
Not recommended if you planning walking with stroller or wheelchair.
Group of friends or DIY Umrah, recommended.
Aram Hotel provided us a sharing washing machine for your own laundry.
FFAISAL AMIRThis hotel was supposed to be 3.5 kilometres in a straight line to Masjid Al nabawi but due to road works we ended up travelling 9 km each way.
The hotel itself is a converted apartment building that turned into Suites probably because the owner couldn't sell the apartments due to the area not close to any business centres or shopping malls.
Prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly and communication is great
No USB charging ports provided anywhere including lounge or bedrooms.
No towels or any cleaning supplies provided to keep this little apartment clean.
Bathroom floors were extremely slippery to the level I would call dangerous.
Bathroom fittings, kitchen ,bedrooms and all furniture in living area also large and comfortable , but we booked for six beds they only provided us 5 beds plus a thin single mattress , which was a great disappointment.
But for us, the biggest drawback was that it's too far from Masjid Al nabawi and not suitable even at low prices.
I would recommend paying more to be closer to Masjid Al nabawi there are plenty of options within 15-20 minutes walk at good price, but if your reason to stay in Madina is not Masjid Al nabawi, then this hotel suite is okay, just consider all the notes I made above.
AAnonymous UserThe mosque is very close to the Haram (about 5-7 minutes walk) flat road
Women's gate is very close
It is located on the other side of the Haram, so if you have a reservation to enter the Rawdah, go ahead to arrive on time.
The reception is very helpful, and the service comes quickly
There is a kettle and a refrigerator. There is no microwave.
I was allowed to enter before the check in time (about 9-10 am) due to the availability of rooms (the number of beds was not reserved, but I had no objection).
Recommend. Especially for young people.
GGuest UserThe hotel’s location near the Prophet’s Mosque is excellent, making it convenient for visitors. However, the overall experience was disappointing. Rooms felt outdated, cleanliness was lacking, and staff were slow to respond to requests. Parking is free .While the location is a big plus, the service and facilities need significant improvement.
