"The hot springs are very comfortable and the reception staff at the counter and restaurant are very friendly. The only downside is that the room is arranged next to the restaurant, and the whole floor of the room is not very comfortable."

"On my trip to Aso Volcano, I stayed at Asunara Resort this time. Their mushroom house is very cute and can accommodate 4 people. The bathroom is very narrow and tall people may bump their heads. The dressing room outside is also very small. It is also easy for others to see when changing clothes. Speaking of entertainment facilities, there are hot springs and steam rooms. But you have to pay for it at your own expense, ¥3000 all-inclusive. The farmhouse and game facilities are also charged separately. Remember to arrange the time for the activities. Check-in at the resort is at 4 o'clock and check-out at 10 o'clock. The zoo enters at 9 o'clock and closes at 5 o'clock. I usually pick up a room in the afternoon after visiting the volcano, and then visit the zoo the next day (at my own expense). In the end, I give up visiting the zoo, which is a pity."

"It was the best location to see the stars! Starry sky tour, the best. There was a small planetarium, and some people were snoring in less than five minutes to a comfortable voice. The observatory's telescope has 2 and it's a little blurred, but I saw the stars explained in the planetarium. The starry sky observation in the grassland was warm in the sleeping bag, and the bonfire and hot drink were delicious. I could see the starry sky as I saw in the planetarium. I was surprised that the room was in the woods but there were no insects at all. The surroundings are rich in nature, and it is a very pleasant place to hear the voices of birds and frogs. The appearance and furniture were cute, and when I fell on the bed, I saw the stars from the skylight. The breakfast was very delicious, despite the suddenness. The water from the tap water is natural water from Aso, and when I take a bath, it smells soft and gentle. Amenities were also available and comfortable. It is a fairy tale nearby, and it is recommended to touch animals."

"Unfortunately it was a cloudy day, but the view from our room was amazing. We apologize for the inconvenience as our child has allergies, but they prepared a separate menu and everything was delicious! The staff were all kind and had a calm impression, making us feel very relaxed. The bath was clean, there were many types of shampoo that you would see in a drugstore, and there were many types of hair dryers, including ReFa and Yanmar, so it was nice to be able to try out a variety of them!"

"We are a couple from Australia and I only speak a little Japanese. This was a truly AMAZING experience! The staff were so kind and friendly, giving us assistance was no issue for them. The location is stunning, the private onsen was glorious and the dinners and breakfasts were bigger than we could possibly eat (and we love our food). The price point for this experience was so good - fantastic value for money. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a little adventure in the heart of countryside Japan. If you get the chance to also visit Minamiaso (they will take you there at no extra charge) for the day, grab some e-bikes and have a ride around- take in the beautiful scenery and wonderful food options."

JJI YUNHave you read the detective novel by British writer Agatha Christie? She has a work called ”Crimes in the Sun”, which is about a group of tourists vacationing on a sunny island. Suddenly an extremely strange murder happened... When we walked into this hotel, I Suddenly thought of Christie's novel in his mind. In the remote and quiet countryside, a hotel with a strong classic flavor stands alone. There is an elegant restaurant in the hotel with about ten rooms. Through the window of the guest room, you can see the smoke erupting from Mount Aso and the rolling mountains in the distance. The surroundings of the hotel are quiet, full of greenery. Everything fits perfectly with the scene in Christie's work...Of course, nothing changed in the end. We spent two happily nights here, soaking in the natural hot springs in the hotel every morning and evening. The boss’s cooking skills are good, and the breakfast she cooked is very delicious. highly recommended.

KKeita0322This time I stayed with a vegetarian friend, and they were very accommodating with the meals. The food was very filling and very satisfying! The room was also a Japanese-style room, which my German friend was very happy with. The view from the hot springs was also spectacular, and it was a fantastic overnight stay!

AAnonymous UserThe location is very good, it is very convenient to go to Aso Volcano in the morning! There are plenty of parking spaces, which is very good for self-driving tours. The rooms are relatively Japanese-style and old, but clean! The room is very spacious and there is also a hot spring to soak in! There are both outdoor and indoor facilities, so it’s very suitable to reserve time to soak in the hot springs.

GGuest UserThis is a great place to stay if you want to be in a peaceful and quiet location. It is in the village with not much disturbances. The owner is very helpful and try to answer your questions about bus and train services in the area. You can find some local restaurants nearby using your Google map. The restaurants are close around 3 to 4 pm most days. The closing hours for the restaurants are not accurate. This is a small town; if they don’t have costumers after a certain hours in the evening, they will be closed. Be mindful about that and come prepared with snacks and food!

GGuest UserI went to this hotel because it was recommended by Gunji Yong, the president of the Japanese Hot Spring Research Association, in the book ”Going to Japan to Soak in Hot Springs”. I drove a long way to the hotel and found that it was worth it. 1. The original hotel was damaged in the Kumamoto earthquake and is now rebuilt. The main building we stayed in was built in the style of that year. Many original wooden components were used in it. The new and old are mixed, and the color difference is obvious, but it also has a unique flavor. The key is that because it is new, it does not have the ”old-fashioned” feeling of many Japanese hot spring hotels. 2. The facilities and furniture of the house have been heavily invested and are of high quality. The main lamp in the bedroom is a fishing lamp from FLOS in Italy, the stool in front of the washbasin is a shoemaker stool from WERNER in Denmark, and the butterfly stool on the balcony is a butterfly stool from Tendo Carpentry. The chairs placed in the public areas of the hotel are also masterpieces of masters. Interestingly, they are not out of place in traditional Japanese hotels. 3. As a hot spring lover, of course, I came here for the hot springs. As a hotel with a source of hot springs, the hot springs are fresh and of good quality. The hotel has men's and women's baths, both of which have indoor and outdoor pools. Interestingly, the men's and women's baths are switched in the morning and evening, so that guests can soak in both baths and four pools in one day. The outdoor bath is on the hillside, which is full of unknown small petals. 4. What's more exciting is that the hotel also has mixed bathing, of course, it is a less difficult and easy way to accept. The hotel will issue yukata, and the locker room is also separated for men and women. There are three pools for mixed bathing, one of which is a cold spring, which is quite enjoyable. When taking a mixed bath, the spring is right next to it, with white smoke. 5. The hotel has one night and two meals, and the two meals are also impressive. In addition to the appetizer, main course and dessert for dinner, the main character is venison hot pot. I have never eaten venison. The meat looks very thin, but I didn't expect it to be very tender and there is no peculiar smell. The dipping sauce is only crushed black pepper and chili. The store recommends dipping black pepper, which is really delicious. When it was time to eat, the handsome boy who could speak fluent English directly brought the rice pot over and showed us a piece of binchotan charcoal lying in the rice. We were surprised, and the handsome boy said proudly: Your money deserves it. There was not a drop of oil in the hot pot and the dipping sauce. After eating a meal, I was full but not greasy. 6. Breakfast is also interesting. The flap in the middle of the dining table is opened, which is a long charcoal stove. It is obviously an improved version of the ground stove barbecue. Many breakfast foods can be grilled on it, and there is even a small iron plate for frying eggs. The vegetable and fruit juices for breakfast are all freshly made one by one. The milk and yogurt for breakfast are all produced by Abe Ranch, and they are of the highest quality. For example, the fresh milk is Aso purple cover. 7. There are countless surprises and surprises when staying in this hotel. It rained in the morning, and the wind was strong and the rain was heavy. I went out and picked up an umbrella at the door. I opened it and saw that the double color matching was so beautiful, and it was so strong in the wind. (All hot spring photos are confirmed to be taken by no talent)
