You can park at the door, the overall environment is comfortable and clean, the boss and the boss's wife are very friendly, and there are welcome afternoon tea and unlimited bottled drinks 👍 The location of the B&B is also very close to the Dongshan Night Market, and it is quiet and not noisy at night. The minor drawback is that the curtains in the room do not block out light, so you will be woken up by the light in the morning. The only mirror is at the sink, so it is a bit inconvenient to put on makeup in low light. There is really nothing to complain about the rest👍👍

Not far from the interchange. About a 10-minute walk to the alley entrance where there's a FamilyMart. Parking available. The guesthouse is beautifully designed; the first floor has a reception desk and a restaurant. Breakfast is Chinese-style porridge and toast. The selection isn't huge, but the food is delicious. The campervan I stayed in was small but fully equipped. Bathroom and toilet were included. Hot water came quickly. The soundproofing was better than I expected. It's near the railway, so you can clearly see trains passing by. The train noise and vibration were acceptable. They provided Yilan-style ox-tongue biscuits. It was a unique accommodation experience.

Overall, the hotel was in very good condition. When I arrived that day, the staff was very friendly and personally greeted me. The layout and shoe storage were very neatly organized. A few minor flaws were that the air freshener was a bit too strong, giving me a headache after a while. There was also some mildew in the bathroom trim and crevices. Also, only bath towels were provided, not hand towels, which was a little inconvenient. Otherwise, everything was quite good!

The location is fantastic, quiet, and surrounded by a variety of restaurants. The guesthouse boasts a clean courtyard with birdsong and fragrant flowers, where you can walk barefoot on the grass. The vegetable garden offers a wide variety of fruit trees. The indoor lobby is bright and features a rich selection of rare and exotic fruits. The rooms are spacious with clean floors and bright windows. The small balcony in the room is perfect for small gatherings. The bathroom has a separate shower and toilet and is of a suitable size. Breakfast uses local and homegrown ingredients, and the delicious breakfast dishes highlight the owner's dedication. Upon check-out, you'll receive a natural cypress sachet, leaving a pleasant fragrance on your return journey.

Yu Peng Villa was our first and BEST accommodation on this Yilan-Taroko-SML-Alishan road trip. We arrived much later than expected and were relieved that our message to Trip.com got through to the guesthouse. When we drove up to the place (an easy find with GPS), a member of the staff walked up to our car and guided us to the drop off point. I love the designer vibes of the property which is well maintained with a sizeable garden and plenty of flowers in bloom. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The showers worked and there was hot water. The western-style breakfast was generous in portion and delicious. Best of all was the hospitality extended to us. It was the only place where we felt truly welcomed on this 8-day trip. The staff here chatted with us, gave advice on places of interest and sent us off with fruit from the orchard. After the great experience here, all the other places we stayed at pale drastically in comparison. If you're planning to visit the Kavalan Distillery, this place is a great stayover option! Truly a slice of paradise.

This time, I chose the Lanyang Wushih Harbor Sea View Hotel, which offers a more upscale experience. It’s a boutique hotel, small but exquisitely charming. The staff were friendly and warm, making us feel right at home with their welcoming reception and guidance. The reservations team thoughtfully arranged for our family to be on the same floor (we booked two double rooms, which are usually on different floors), which was a delightful and considerate surprise. This made it much easier for us to look after other family members traveling with us. For our elderly relatives' room, they even kindly provided a shower chair, ensuring they could enjoy a comfortable and safe shower. However, regarding breakfast, while there was a wide variety, a slight drawback was the lack of freshly prepared, custom-made dishes. There wasn't even a chef to make omelets or fried eggs. For a four-star hotel, this aspect of the dining was a bit disappointing, and I offer this as feedback for the restaurant. Overall though, we had a very pleasant stay! 😘

The bustling downtown and market are just a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. Nearly all the staff were incredibly friendly and professional in answering our questions. This trip marked our seven-month anniversary, and it added so many wonderful memories as we head towards our eighth month together. Upon check-in, the hotel learned we were celebrating our anniversary and thoughtfully upgraded us to a mountain-view room. The in-room welcome drinks were incredibly generous, featuring mini beers, plum wine, coke, and Pocari Sweat – essential for rehydration after a soak; they even included face masks to pamper us while we enjoyed the in-room hot spring bath. All the room's fixtures and fittings were new and high-quality: a Toto washlet, a Panasonic 1400 nanoe hairdryer, a thoughtful wooden gua sha massage comb, and hyaluronic acid-infused shower gel that left skin feeling smooth and soft. What truly amazed me were the double-layered automatic curtains (even in the room's private hot spring area!). The double room's bathtub was spacious enough for up to four people – a very comfortable size. In the afternoon, the lobby offered preserved fruits and freshly brewed tea, perfect for a relaxing break after a dip in the outdoor public hot spring. After dinner, they provided handmade kumquat-flavored tofu pudding, and it was unlimited – so generous! (There's a lovely staff member in the lobby, Tina, who's a treasure trove of recommendations for local food and sights; don't hesitate to ask her for her secret list of must-try places!) Last but not least, I highly recommend trying the hotel's breakfast, especially the freshly blanched beef soup. Even my boyfriend, who grew up in Tainan, the home of beef soup, couldn't stop raving about it. *If you're planning a weekday visit like we did and want to try some local famous eateries, be sure to check their opening hours in advance. Many popular spots are only open from Friday to Sunday or during specific hours, like mornings until 2 PM. (Luckily, you can find a lot of food on Uber Eats!) Heartily recommend!

The outdoor facilities are great for kids; mine loved the paddle boats and trampolines. Right next door, there's a small animal petting zoo with meerkats, capybaras, giant tortoises, alpacas, and more. They're absolutely adorable! You can get up close to pet and feed them. The capybara-themed shaved ice and chocolate egg waffles at the snack bar were also super cute and delicious. However, there were a few downsides. The bathroom in our room was spacious but didn't have a door, which felt a bit odd. The soundproofing wasn't great; we could clearly hear people talking loudly outside. Additionally, one of the bed frames creaked whenever we moved, and the Wi-Fi signal was very weak. It would be much better if these issues were addressed. On a positive note, breakfast was pretty good, and it was served as individual portions.

This hotel is the hotel we stayed in for the second part of our first trip to Yilan. The overall facilities of the hotel are quite good, so that guests can experience many activities. The layout of the rooms is also very comfortable. The environment and scenery are refreshing! 

Happy to have had the hotel save me from cycling another 2 hours through the dark. Easy to find, many rooms available. Nice receipt from the owner and happy they had cloths washing and drying fascilities. Stored my bicycle in the room which wasn’t appreciated by the owner as he was worried for making his bed sheets dirty. As he couldn’t reach out to me he switched off the A/C. That’s a complete no-go and totally against any hospitality rules. I stay 209+ days a year in hotels and never ever have I had such a treatment. Anyways, was dissolved quickly but hope the owner can change his attitude to other travellers. Apart from that the bed is hard and the A/C works good. Loads of blouse form the neighbour on the next morning.
