"Since the flight to Colombo Airport was at night, I booked a hotel for one night. It was only a dozen kilometers away from the airport, much closer than downtown Colombo. The hotel is located on the beach. It was very pleasant to have breakfast in the restaurant while watching the sea in the morning. The hotel service was also good. Drinks were served when checking in, and the luggage was also delivered directly to the room by the waiter. Reminder that there are no slippers and hair dryers in the room, it is best to bring your own."

"Had a 9 hr layover. Flight early in the morning at 7 am. Hotel picks up and drops off at airport free of charge. 15 mins one way. Easy to arrange. I arrived late at night so didn't see much landscaping but it was deep into like a dark area but lighted up nearer main building. Great functioning hotel for layovers. But WiFi was non existent in the room that I was in just above the reception. Could be because of the rain. Towel was stained but I guess it happens and it was the value for the money."

"It was more than 12 o'clock when I checked in, and it took a while to arrange the room. The room was very clean, but the wooden floor was a bit shabby. The more amazing thing is breakfast, there are ham bacon egg square bags, and orange juice papaya mango bananas. I think it is the best breakfast in the seven hotels this trip, because there is bacon. The staff is very enthusiastic, will prepare hot water for us, chat with us, and send us black tea. You can see the little squirrel at the place where you eat breakfast. The location is very convenient. The road opposite is the beach and you can see local fishermen casting nets to fish."

"The room is OK, but the locals are singing karaoke at night, and they are still singing in the middle of the night, too noisy. Not recommended. If you want to understand local life, you may consider that there are residential areas nearby, and it is more convenient to buy things. In the morning, there is a little brother who sells bread by bicycle."

WwangruihengThe hotel is very good and the experience is very poor.
After checking in, I learned that the price gap of the same hotel and the same room type in the same hotel was as high as 675 yuan. The price of the network is 640 yuan, and the price of Trip.com is 1315 yuan. Obviously**. There is also another hotel booked. The operator of which network is Hecheng International (Ctrip's company), and the price is lower than Trip.com's own website.

JJOHANNES ALBERTUSWe had a room with two double beds and an AC, this was perfect for our family of 4. We landed in Sri Lanka at 9 pm and just needed to place to sleep before we officially began our holiday. The lady working at the frontdesk was very kind. We also got bottled water in the room, which was amazing since we did not stop at a shop before heading there. We arrived at night and left again in the morning, so we are not sure if there are shops or restaurants around this area.

EEnglish RoseLimeshine Airport Transit Hotel is conveniently placed for arriving in Sri Lanka after a late flight! The hotel kindly sent a taxi to collect us (for 3500 Sri Lankan Rupees) and greeted us with cold juice. Our room was extremely clean and everything worked well (including the air conditioning and shower). We really enjoyed our first breakfast in Sri Lanka. Staff were polite and helpful and gave us a sweet little keyring map of the country as a farewell gift!

I am particularly impressed by Kasun's service. The breakfast, lunch and dinner here are also very nice. The only drawback is that the gym can't be used except dumbbells, and the shower is not very convenient.

KkissikFirst of all, this is a homestay with more than 200. Don't have too high requirements for the accommodation environment, you will feel good and worthy of this price. Although the facilities in the house are old, not very clean, and the sheets are a bit yellow. However, in the morning, there is a white landlord who prepares a serious breakfast, and there are various cute cats and dogs to accompany you for breakfast. The warm and quiet small courtyard is immediately in a good mood. Compared with the tent we have to be pitted for 1,000 nights in Yala, it is much better!

MMatthew JamesThis was my third stay at the Goldi Sands, honestly, the last time was nearly 20 years ago but I had such a great time back then I had high expectations. In the intervening 20 years, the hotel has had a revamp, double the size, double the number of swimming pools, added an elevator and they've removed the beach-fronted bungalows. All of which I think was a smart move and well worth doing. What has changed is the service and the catering. The staff are of course all very polite just that they didn't go the extra mile like they used to. We arrived late as our flight had been delayed, all I wanted was a couple of bottles of beer, they did arrive but I almost had to beg. I booked a taxi to the airport with the front desk, but they forgot, the waitresses at dinner were all about the hard upsell rather than serving. The breakfast as far as my memory serves me used to be awesome, today's breakfast is the same every day and lacks imagination, is poorly presented, and includes the worst coffee ever. The hotel has a confusing number of tariffs from all-inclusive to room only which means if you want to buy a drink it takes forever as they have to check your ”status” and then if you pay cash they have to go to the cashier as they carry no float. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable but basic. All in all it is still a good hotel to choose but sadly it is no longer in the memorable category.

GGuest UserThe sanitation is OK, the quilt has a little smell, the bathroom should be renovated, it's OK, but not big. The wardrobe is relatively simple, the safe in each room is different, and some are not fixed to the wall. The room rate is high because it is close to the airport (4km), and you may not be able to get a taxi at night. The Uber driver will cancel the order and raise the price on the spot. Some hotel reservations include free airport pick-up/drop-off, which is good, and the car is relatively new. There is a third-party business car that can be rented with the driver, and the round-trip price is OK. The service is very good, 90% of the employees are very enthusiastic. The communication with the duty manager is also relatively smooth. There is a souvenir shop downstairs where you can buy recharge cards. The seafood noodles in the Chinese restaurant are not bad. It would be better if the sanitation could be better. The front desk is slow, but the overall service quality is good.

TTraveling TanI stayed in this hotel for a week. It’s only been open for 5 months and at first appearance it looks good, but taking a closer look it’s still being built and repaired. There are still cables jutting out of the wall and ceiling. Although the kitchen is featured in the photos of the room, it has no tap, the cupboards are sealed. I raised some of my concerns when I arrived with the general manager when he asked me questions about my stay and he seemed blasé about addressing it. Based on what was paid, this hotel is overpriced. There are still cement stairways and drilling taking place during the day. The WiFi is awful, they finally installed a router in my room which took the week to do and it only worked on the day of my departure. The best part of the hotel is some staff members who will go out of their way to help, special mention to Jazz. They have a great pool on the roof. Until it’s fully built I wouldn’t recommend staying here!

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in a relatively narrow alley, which is not very convenient for travel. It is suitable for hotel guests. The room is large, the hygiene and facilities are average, and the professionalism of the service staff needs to be improved. I caught a flight in the morning and didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on the food. However, the scenery of the hotel is first-class. The balcony is spacious and you can enjoy the unobstructed scenery from the balcony. You can enjoy the beautiful sunset and sunrise. Thumbs up
