New Hotels in Seoul

"The biggest plus is its location, right by Jonggak Station and Jongno 2-ga. Airport bus 6002 drops you off directly at Jongno 2-ga, and it's also quite close to Seoul Station, so taking the AREX and then transferring works too. The surrounding area has excellent amenities – there's a Daiso right downstairs and several Olive Young stores nearby. The backstreets are a food paradise, offering tons of late-night snack options. The hygiene is good, and the bunk beds are quite spacious. The bathroom and shower are also acceptably clean, though they aren't cleaned frequently, so it relies on guests to maintain them. The lounge offers capsule coffee and ice, but not much else."

"Everything was simply excellent! For breakfast, they had cereal, yogurt, and toast – perfect! The staff were incredibly responsive; they always helped with everything and explained anything unclear, or resolved any issues. For 9 days, this felt like home, and I'm very happy about that! I highly recommend it. The shower and toilet were clean. You can tell the hostel recently opened because everything is brand new. It's an excellent option for solo travelers looking for value for money. Each capsule has an outlet, so if you don't feel like leaving your capsule, you're all set (for isolation, that is). The location is fantastic, right on 'Youth Street' – you step out and you're immediately in a pedestrian area, the very center of Seoul. The subway and buses are very close by. The soundproofing in the capsules is decent, but I was lucky with my neighbors; they were quiet people. Overall, I made the right choice, so I'm happy to write this review, even though I rarely do."

"This was the second hotel I stayed at in South Korea, and the front desk staff spoke really good Mandarin! All the staff were very friendly. The location is truly excellent; the hotel is right by the main road, and Guro Subway Station is just next door. It offers great value for money, and there's a dining area on the second floor with a microwave available at any time. The only downside is that the TV screen is quite small."

"We had to book an extra day because our flight was rescheduled to the next day, and we didn’t want to stay anywhere else anyway. The location is awesome, and I think that’s the biggest selling point of this place. Just keep in mind that there’s no regular room maintenance unless you specifically ask for it at the front desk, so plan accordingly."

"I had a very satisfying experience overall during my stay at Kims Hotel Jongno. The room and bathroom were remarkably clean and well-maintained; I could feel the cleanliness as soon as I checked in, and the bedding was very comfortable. I was concerned about noise, but I could relax comfortably as I didn't hear much noise from outside or from other rooms. The staff were friendly from beginning to end, and they responded quickly to my inquiries and requests, which I really appreciated. I felt that they genuinely cared about their guests, and their service was very professional. The location is also excellent, being close to Jongno 3-ga Station, making public transportation convenient and saving a lot of travel time. Major attractions like Ikseon-dong, Insadong, and Gwangjang Market are within walking distance, making my travel itinerary very efficient. For those who enjoy a drink, the pojangmacha (street food stall) and hof (pub) streets are just a 3-minute walk across from the hotel, offering the vibrant atmosphere unique to Jongno, which is a big plus. There are also plenty of great restaurants and cafes nearby, adding to the enjoyment of the trip. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in Jongno, as it scored high on cleanliness, service, and location."

"Pros: It's clean. Whether it's truly spotless or just gives off that vibe, it feels clean enough that you'd be comfortable walking barefoot on the floor. The location is super convenient, close to the light rail and bus stops, with tons of cafes and restaurants nearby. Plus, it's quite spacious, bigger than I expected. The previous nights in Seoul I stayed in a similarly priced place that was tiny in comparison, so this one feels positively 'expansive'! Cons: The only downside is that it's street-facing. If you can, try to request a room away from the street side. Even with double-glazed windows for soundproofing, it can still be noisy because it's right by a main road. (It's not unbearable, but might be an issue for light sleepers.)"

"I was a bit worried because of the low price, but it turned out to be a clean and comfortable stay. Even though it was a Saturday, it didn't feel overly crowded, and the shared lobby was spacious and comfortable for everyone. The free coffee was also a nice touch. The shower rooms were clean with 5 stalls, and they made sure to restock towels both day and night, so I never had an issue. Toothbrushes and razors were also available in the shower rooms. Security was good; you needed a security card to enter each floor, and there were dial-code security boxes at the entrance and in the bedrooms, which gave me peace of mind. The bedrooms were quiet, and if your main goal is just to sleep, it was perfectly fine. There are several bus stops nearby, so access was never a problem. A subway station was also within reach. I would definitely consider staying here again if I have the chance."

"Booked this room in a hurry, and it was super comfortable and close to the subway station. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the soundproofing was excellent; I couldn't hear any noise from the hallway at all. The only downside was having to walk up four flights of stairs, but everything else in the surrounding area was fantastic."

"My daughter's first trip to Korea, so I went with her. It's super convenient for sightseeing in Dongdaemun. There are also restaurants on the first floor and a convenience store nearby, so you won't have any trouble. I was a bit confused because the sign outside still had the old hotel name, but I figured it out quickly. The hotel staff were really great too. It seems like the lower floors are still under renovation, but it didn't bother us at all. The room is compact, with only enough space to open one small suitcase, but since we were just sleeping there, it was fine. Having outlets above the bed was a big plus. The bathroom facilities were also good, with excellent water pressure. There's no one at the front desk at night, but if you needed anything, you could just grab it from the entrance. It felt like you could connect with them via LINE if you had any issues (though we didn't have any, so we didn't contact them). I'd definitely want to stay here again if I travel to Korea alone."

Since it's near a market where you can find character goods and toys at reasonable prices, it would be a good choice for families with children who can walk a bit. The hotel staff were incredibly kind and made our trip enjoyable. There's no elevator, so it might be a bit challenging if you have large luggage, but the room itself was spacious and clean. It's perfect for those who just need a place to sleep after a day of exploring!"
