Good location. 8 - 10 mins from train station. Located at city center easy to access anywhere to China town, shopping mall and restaurants. Staff is cool without smile face, quick check in and check out. Room is clear and good size for big luggage. However a bit noisy at the night time because there’s a disco next to the hotel, weekend will be party at the night til late. Overall is good for us and will consider to stay next time.
Not bad, a little far from the train station, but close to the river, there are many bars. But the hotel is a bit old. There is a good English breakfast shop and ice cream shop nearby.

Stayed one night - bank holiday Sunday in a Club double room with full English buffet breakfast and a drinks voucher each included. We stayed in room 511 which seemed slightly more spacious than other rooms of this type however only had a partial river view due to being at the end of the corridor. On booking we had requested to have additional pillows for the bed and this was done for our arrival. A very good overnight stay in a hotel located within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants on the quayside. Will be a returning guest .

The Hotel from the entrance it's look quite luxurious but definitely not the room. The room it really noisy, the noise from the street and you can hear everything the person in the other rooms talking as well.
Amenities in the room is basic, but very clean and tidy. I was come at 5am to ask for booking, the woman who is manager quite rude and ask us to go to another hotel, still I am booking in this one come back at 8am and met a very lovely man who at the receptionist with the greatest hospitality he can provided, that a very good point of this hotel.
Clean and well situated hotel. Was noisy throughout the night as we had a room on the front facing the train station but as we had been out for a few drinks this wasn't a major issue. Staff very good and reasonable value for money.
Grainger Hotel is a nice hotel at all. The room is neat and the counter is very helpful. There is a supermarket nearby so that you can get everything you need. It would be a 30-minute walk from station to hotel and you need to walk up some gradient. The streets may be dirty so don't put bags on the ground.
The location of the hotel is very good, the room environment is clean and tidy, the bed is very comfortable to sleep, and there are a lot of varieties early, very rich. Will have the opportunity to stay in the future.
Frankly, the size of the room is beyond my imagination, very spacious apartment. The kitchen has everything that should be set. You can make breakfast and dinner yourself. We have one night to make our own seafood dinner. You can wash clothes. It feels like home. The facilities are old. Travel is also very convenient, very close to the train station and supermarket, will consider here next time.

GGuest UserThis was a fabulous stay
All Staff are a credit to the hotel, with spacious rooms, cleanliness top notch, everything you could need and require in your room, so many items that you would not even realise you would need was in the room, I liked the fact had a small functioning kitchen with hob and dishwasher, a recliner sofa to watch TV from, even tissue on the coffee table, instructions for the appliciances, cleaning products and safe... When I say they have thought of Everything I meant it! It like home from home.
The Rooms were comfortable, beds were a great size and so comfortable, very clean and fresh linens, big bathroom, good view from the floor we stayed on, breakfast was buffet style but well thought out and food fresh and hot, staff attendance was good ratio and they were attentive and very cheerful and helpful, also parking was a good price as well.
I was also impressed with the fact of small details like a 24hr pantry shop which perfect for family guests, quieter seating/dining area for guests who don't have children, children area, radio on for a cheerful breakfast experience.
Lots of little details and extras is what made our stay a good one, we will definitely use the hotel again, 1 million percent I'd recommend this hotel to others as well, keep doing what you do because your smashing it! And all at a good fair price as well!! A must try!
JJonathanStaff at the front desk were really friendly. Given cookies at check in and sent off to sleep as we had a 3am wake up. Good hotel to stay at for Newcastle Airport, we rewuested a quiet room away from others as door slamming wakes us, and unfortunately the guests next to us (headboard side) kept going in and out of their room which shook the bed. So we didnt really sleep. However, this is more an issue with them than the hotel. The were really giving it some whammy.
MMaryMV86Very clean hotel when you need to stay over for 1 night. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. I am suggesting this hotel for those who need a place to stay near the central train station. It’s literally 5 min walk from it.
CChanThis hotel is very close to the train station so the guests can just walk across the street to take the train. The hotel room is nice and big and clean. So, it’s very good for the guest who need to take the train in the early morning or late evening. There’re also many restaurants near the hotel. Also the metro station is just a few steps from the hotel. So the guest can get around the city using the underground metro conveniently.
JJack and PaigeStaff on front desk was absolutely lovely, was able to check us in early. Gym was good size, pool was busy as they also sell day passes I think but still plenty space. Room was clean along with the whole hotel. Only complaint was that breakfast was astronomical (£20pp) especially for Newcastle, I would recommend taking the short walk into town for breakfast instead
TTwilight LeeGreat location, close to the riverside and also the train station.
The Hotel’s room generally is alright, the cleanliness is ok, the pillows absolutely fine for me. The only problem is the huge noise made by the air conditioning during using period.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the ancient city, with a very unique, classical and stylish decoration and appearance. You can walk to the river in a few minutes. Recommended! If you arrive by car, the hotel has a doorman to keep your car keys, which is quite interesting.
GGuest UserStayed in this hotel for a one night business trip stay over. If you’re looking for something with a little character this is a great place to stay . Central Newcastle , right next to the central train station and Metro entrance, a little bit of elegance. A lovely entrance foyer ( decorated with an amazing Christmas tree) with large chandeliers and helpful staff at check in. Finding my room was a bit of an adventure , but part of the charm of a historic building .
My room was clean , quiet , mini fridge , kettle and tea/coffee , tv , surprisingly good bathroom and comfortable bed.
I had a good English breakfast in the morning , and again the staff were lovely.
I thought it was very good value , and I would stay again .
GGuest UserWe have stayed at this hotel twice and both times we were greeted by friendly staff both times we had no problems with the rooms food also in restaurant was nice no complaints either all in all our stay was made friendly.
GGuest UserThe staff at the hotel was very friendly. As we booked quite close to our actual trip date we didn't get a great room. Our room was at the end of the hallway next to the staff elevator. unfortunately, the door to that elevator was open half the time we were there with food scraps waiting to be taken away out in the open area. This led to ”food smells” being wafted into our room. we had to open the window the moment we entered our room because of the stuffy smell but once the window was open and there was ventilation, everything was fine.
