Fodele Beach Water Park Resort

This was our first time at an all inclusive and it was above and beyond what we hoped and expected. The location is absolutely lush. A short trip from the airport and you're in the bay of fodele, a beautiful bay surrounded by mountains predominantly occupied by the resort. There is a few other small hotels & a gift shop down the beach and the road runs close by to the hotel, although despite being in one of the rooms closest to it, it doesn't disturb or encroach. The resort spreads up the hillside and down onto the beach, with bars, snacks and restaurants across multiple levels. I actually can't think of a better location than fodele beach for such a resort. Food: I am a vegetarian and my partner has a nut allergy, severe to peanuts. From a vegetarian point of view there is always a small selection of choices for mains as an addition to the daily pasta, pizza, soup & salad options which are available lunch & dinner every day. The buffet is extensive, with a wide variety of dishes, I sometimes felt disappointed that something I liked the look of often had meat in it (stir fry noodles, with an additional label stating pork etc) but overall the minimum I would have on my plate was 3 different hot food options as well as the backup of pizza! A note for vegans, there was always a vegan pizza, and I believe the pasta may have been vegan as well as plenty of build your own salad, but that was about it I believe (although don't quote me); the vegan pizza often also was topped with peas? Overall I was pretty happy about the food situation, I definitely felt catered for. Also, a crucial addition, the wine is bottomless refill serve yourself style. Amazing. As for nut allergies, everything has a label with details of allergens, although later on in the service some often go missing and the deserts are more or less guess work due to the labels often struggling to correlate particularly obviously to that on show. There was always a variety of nut free options, however the labels often we assumed were saying "may contain" as things like margarita pizza were labeled with nuts. Overall as someone who has lived with a nut allergy for 27years, the deserts aside I found it to be as good an experience as I may have expected from a buffet style restaurant. On our final night we ate at "ambrosia" the Italian restaurant (which with a 7night stay is free for all inclusive for a single booking which includes 5courses!) having noted a nut allergy on the booking they were extremely attentive, coming to the table to outline what was & wasn't containing and re-itterating when we ordered something that has "traces" . It was at this point we realised that we probably should have asked for more assistance in identifying nut traces Vs containing foods in the buffet. The entertainment was overall pretty great we found, as a mid twenties couple. The evening entertainment admittedly wasn't always the greatest. We have just spent the week at the Fodele Beach Hotel and had a fantastic time. We were a family of 5, with two young children (8&9). On the second day, our children went to kids club and we barely saw them for the rest of the week they enjoyed it so much! The entire entertainment/mini team by Pink Wave were amazing with our children but we were particularly impressed by the dedication and warmth shown by one staff member, Karina. Karina was kind, caring and naturally engaging and will be truly missed by our children.

After overcoming surprise at rooms being high in mountain, we had the most perfect time. One thing we want can’t stress enough-the food was out-worldly, never have we ever seen such quality and offer in All Inclusive hotels. The amenities were awesome, pools were great, beach was lovely. We enjoyed every moment there. Thank You

Me and my family visited the island of Crete from 27th May to 3rd June 2024. We experienced overall a very good stay. The waterpark was a family-friendly feature. Top tip get a lower apartment although there is a golf buggie,a taxi or a train. The entertainment wasn't too our taste. It was a little weird. The accommodation and the food was excellent and we would come back to stay again.

Fantastic trip, lots of fun and great moments. We enjoyed a lot in the beach, great massage. Also wonderful kids club. People were so nice, warm and friendly. Foods were very tasty. For people who are coming from cold Europe is perfect destination.

Really great place. The beach was perfect. Really clear water and plenty of sun beds. Teta was amazing helping me plan my trips and giving me great recommendations. Katerina at Ageo Spa was such a great hostess. Really kind and a ray of sunshine. She organised everything for me and I had a great experience. Raphael at the spa was so wonderful. I was so relaxed and felt amazing. I don’t think I could open my eyes all the way for al least 15 minutes after my massage. The care and enthusiasm everyone here puts in is what makes this such a great place.

7 Days for Bliss!! Amazing Staff. We were a party of 22 people celebrating my 50th. (Pink Party) We have just returned home after an amazing week at this hotel. From the second we walked in the staff were extremely friendly and helpful on reception/guest relations. The food choice is brilliant. There is literally something for everyone in the main restaurant even if you are a little fussy. We particularly enjoyed the Italian restaurant as the food there was exceptional! The waterpark was brilliant, a walk up the hill or a quick buggy ride, also tennis courts & crazy golf all included. It wasn't overly busy so no queues on the slides. Snack bar up there does hotdogs etc again all very clean. The Spa is a must. Big Thanks to Maria. The Staff are amazing – So Helpful – they are faultless. Costas from the pool bar – Hope you passed your exam. (Crazy Indian adults that bought several shots) Overall, it was a fantastic stay, our first time to Greece / Crete . We are looking to return for longer next year. We would like to thank everyone for greeting us with a smile every morning, They are a credit to the management team. If you’re reading this and considering booking, go for it, you won’t be disappointed. See you next year! 10/10.

Recently back from a big family holiday, 11 of us including 3 under 18s & 2 over 70s, 4 rooms between us all. The rooms were clean & modern, only 1 room had the minifridge restocked each day which wasn't great. The 2 x sun rooms were small but ample, the family room was a decent size, the duplex apartment was huge but the double bed needs to be upstairs & the twin beds downstairs. Do not book a duplex apartment if you have young children as the stairs are so steep they are dangerous. The pools area were extremely clean & tidy due to the 'no food' policy, the pool bar was well stocked & we found many branded drinks included but a bit understaffed in the daytime. I also enjoyed the cocktails. My teenage sons enjoyed the gym & the pools. Never had any issues getting sunbeds every for such a large group of us! Pool towels changed daily The waterpark was brilliant, a walk up the hill or a quick buggy ride, also tennis courts & crazy golf all included. It wasn't overly busy so no queues on the slides. Snack bar up there does hotdogs etc again all very clean. The a la cartes were 'all booked up' on our day of arrival for the next 7 days, this was disappointing. Luckily part of our group arrived a bit earlier so managed to get us into thr Greek one which was amazing- our best meal. We were there for the opening night of the new beach BBQ which we also enjoyed & would recommend. The food choices in general were really good, always fresh & a good choice for breakfast lunch & dinner. The chefs work so hard & I did not get bored of the food like I normally do with AI. We had no troubles getting large table for us all or smaller ones close together. Steps - unless you love climbing steps then you probably need to really consider if a hotel in a cliff side is suitable for your parties needs. We are all able bodied but omg what a work out!! If you have pushchairs or a disability I wouldn't recommend this hotel purely as its made out of steps. Steps to every room, steps round the pool - each one of us had a fall & many people were on crutches or bandaged up from slips & falls. You do get used to it but it's not ideal. The train was not working whilst we were there, the buggys were good though. The hotel beach area is good with reasonable priced watersports, we did jet skis, sofa & paragliding. Plenty of sunbeds. The hotel is not near anything so you will not find anything close by. We went on a boat trip to Dia Islsnd to break up the week, this was a highlight for us. Absolutely stunning area. Was it perfect for our needs - yes! We had a wonderful time. Would I visit again - no I don't miss the steps 🤣

Very friendly and helpful staff. Iraklis was great and seemed very experienced. 1st time I have done this and iraklis mdde me feel very comfortable. I had a full body massage and feel extremely relaxed. My parter had a facial and had a great treatment as well.
