GGuest UserOverall, it was a good stay, but there are a few drawbacks to consider: 1. They didn't inform me before check-in that I needed to purchase a membership card to extend my stay for a second night. Otherwise, I'd have to check out and then check in again. While it wasn't a lot of money, it left a bad impression. 2. The check-in time was a bit odd.

FFlow.dotcomI had a wonderful stay at Millennium Hotel Taichung! This is truly a 5-star experience from the moment I arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. As soon as my taxi pulled up, the bellboy came over right away and helped with my luggage—even sending it directly to my room without me needing to handle anything. Such thoughtful service! The room was very spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day out. I especially loved the little touches, like the Nespresso coffee machine for a nice cup of coffee anytime. The biggest surprise was the complimentary mini bar—there were four bottles of soft drinks provided for free, which was such a nice bonus! The bathroom was also impressively large, clean, and well-designed, adding to the overall luxurious feel of the stay. Overall, I highly recommend Millennium Hotel Taichung if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service. I would definitely stay here again! 😊

GGuest UserOverall, I was quite disappointed. Right from check-in, the staff couldn't find my reservation, and they even asked for my surname in English, and the number and gender of guests, which was a bit odd. I noticed a lot of things because I was waiting for my luggage in the lobby for a very long time. The seating area around the art installation in the lobby was dusty, especially the back rows, and the outdoor area was full of fallen leaves. While I was busy with my child and family arranging crafts, my luggage had already been taken to the room. When I realized I needed my carry-on bag, the staff said they would retrieve it from the room for me (we hadn't even checked into the room yet). I had a carry-on with my child's daily essentials, and my child needed to use the restroom. So, we waited in the lobby for that bag for nearly 20 minutes. Regarding the other facilities, the welcome tea was incredibly simple. The window in our room had large water stains on the glass (I initially thought it was fog). Below our room, there was an area with weeds and what looked like abandoned moss, which felt out of place. It seemed like the most effort the hotel put in was the gardening, and I couldn't understand why this particular area existed; it was a huge contrast. Considering all meal costs are extra, it really didn't offer good value for money at all. The food, however, was very good, and the laundry service was a plus. All the staff members were friendly and welcoming. If the room rates were lower, I might consider revisiting. But if the prices and facilities remain as they are, I won't be returning.

EElazigThis hotel is the top choice for comfort, cleanliness, safety, and convenience. It's located right by the Green River, just a 5-minute walk from Taichung Railway Station, so meals are never an issue with plenty of dining options within walking distance. The room was clean, and the bed was a firm spring mattress (the kind that doesn't sag). The hot water was plentiful and very hot, and there was no water accumulation. Next to the front desk, there's a coffee machine and various coffee and tea bags, along with a 24-hour supply of water at three different temperatures. The rooftop has free washing machines and a dryer (NT$10 for 20 minutes). The hotel offers free parking at a partner lot, just a 5-minute walk away. It's incredibly convenient and comfortable for travelers. Highly recommended!

VVladimir PervouchineHotel is great overall, but beds are really hard surface type. The hotel feels like was last renovated / built some 20 or so years ago, which makes everything looks dated. However, in terms of cleanliness, service and location it is an excellent hotel (if you are ok sleeping on a hard bed). Staff is very helpful. We didn’t try spa or dining so cannot comment here. Location is good: it is not too far from central district yet if you’re driving (we did) you don’t have to drive through the most congested areas. There are a few excellent coffee places nearby. Many places around to eat.

元元哲有原則Our stay was incredibly comfortable. I had requested a specific room type, and to my delight, we were able to check in to it on the first day. We were also told we could switch to a room with a bathtub the next day, which was fantastic service. The moment we walked in, there was a lovely fragrance. Since we stayed for three consecutive nights, the room was cleaned impeccably each day. All in all, I highly recommend this as an overnight option for everyone!

GGuest UserThe Plaza Hotel is actually an older, well-established brand in Taichung. Its location is quite good, and the entire hotel has been recently renovated, so it's still very spacious and clean. It's conveniently located in the city center, making it easy to get to Fengjia Night Market, the Intercontinental Baseball Stadium, the new Hanshin Department Store, or Shinkong Mitsukoshi in the 7th Redevelopment Zone. There's parking available on-site. The hotel also offers breakfast, but you can choose a room-only option if you prefer not to have it. Definitely recommended!
