Guest UserThe hotel is very close to Piccadilly train station, but I wouldn't recommend using the overhead bridge – it actually makes it a longer walk. My room, at least, was spacious, and the bed even bigger. What I loved most was that the hangers could be taken down, and they even provided slippers! I stayed for two nights, and it was generally very quiet, much better than my experiences in Edinburgh and London. The mini-fridge had food and water, along with tea bags and a capsule coffee machine, all of which I confirmed were complimentary. However, because they took a £52 pre-authorization upon check-in, I didn't touch anything in the fridge to be on the safe side. The restaurant is on the right side of the lobby on the ground floor and is very standard for a Western-style restaurant. Below are some personal cons:
1. Manchester isn't as warm as London, and my room was shaded. Even on sunny days, it felt a bit cool inside, and the air conditioning's heating seemed pretty ineffective.
2. The bathroom floor was extremely slippery; you absolutely need to use the non-slip mat provided by the hotel.
3. The toilet flush button was very stiff; I couldn't press it with my left hand and had to use my right.
Oh, and they gave me hot scones at check-in, as shown in picture 6.

Anonymous UserThe hotel is located next to manchester picadilly train station. I travelled from London to manchester by train so it is super convenient for me to stay here. There are many supermarkets and cafe around such as sainsbury local, mark & spencer, co op, greg and cafe nero.
The staff is very helpful and attentive. The room is modern. I request for 4 single beds and my request is well accommodated. The room is fully equipped with kitchen utensil. They are very clean and useful for preparing breakfast for my kids. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The room is well maintained and air con works really well. Shower room is clean and not slippery. After checking out, the hotel staff allowed me to leave the luggage with them for a few hours.
Will be back here again next time I come to Manchester.

HanxiaomeiWe booked this hotel because we had an early flight from Manchester, and it was such a pleasant surprise! We arrived during a heatwave in the UK, stepping out of a stuffy, non-air-conditioned car feeling like we'd been in a sauna, into a wonderfully cool and air-conditioned hotel room. It was incredibly comfortable!

Adeyinka AdeniranOutstanding hospitality and superb facilities
As someone who travels frequently for business, I am used to standard hotel procedures, but the team at The Manchester Deansgate Hotel completely blew me away for this leisure stay. They responded brilliantly to our pre-arrival requests, upgrading us to a beautiful King Skyline room and adding thoughtful touches like a welcome note from the manager and complimentary drinks. The hotel’s physical assets are in top shape, the 2nd-floor pool and sauna are peaceful and high-quality, and the breakfast service was seamless despite a busy weekend. Exceptional execution by the management and front-desk team.

Guest Userno parking at this establishment and no dropping off available at times as their maintenance and delivery vans might take up the small space cut into the front pavement. They do provide you with a discount voucher at nearby public carparks. Rooms are clean but the decorating is a patch up job throughout. The noise from the tram it is horrible and through the night as windows are not soundproof. In our room the heating was out of order and oil filled radiators were put up instead. Television sets have either the option for TV channels or to connect to your phone: bad aerial prevented viewing most channels and TV only connected to the staff's androids and not to our iphones. There was no options for apps such as youtube or netflix and kids have to entertain themselves on their tablet. Swimming pool is the size of a private one in a residential home. Staff is courteous and the breakfast is way and beyond satisfactory. The majestic hall from their photos was nowhere to be seen. Would go again if no other options shall be available at the time.

Check in was dreadful! On arrival 2 members of staff behind the reception desk were staring at a screen, I assumed they were dealing with 2 ladies standing slightly to one side, but when i managed to catch one of them's eye, he asked if he could help & seemed surprised that I was waiting to check in! I ushered forward the lady waiting in front of me. When my turn arrived I gave my name and that I had a room for 2 adults & a toddler & had requested a travel cot. I had no phone signal in the hotel so could not bring up my booking. He requested that I go outside to get signal which I did. On finding my online booking confirmation I went back inside & gave him the booking reference number to which he snappily told me it was wrong. I showed him. He asked me to write down my full name on a slip of paper the he proceeded to print off details of my booking thrust it at me & asked if that was me!
He insisted that I had made a booking for 2 adults & 2 children. I read the booking details directly from my phone - 2 adults, one 2 year old, travel cot required. Eventually we were allocated our room & given the key. This whole process took 25 minutes, which also then put our restaurant reservation back. Not great with a tired & hungry 2 year old! (When we did get into our room, there was no travel cot. this was supplied later.) On a positive note, a member of staff who seemed to have some supervisory/managerial capacity did apologise and gave me free parking for the night.
Other than this dreadful start, all was OK, just what one would expect from a premier inn.

Anonymous UserDuring my recent stay at this hotel, I found the overall experience to be enjoyable with top-quality fittings and furnishings. However, there were areas that required improvement. The hotel itself is pleasant, but enhancing the service and room cleaning would significantly improve the guest experience.
A standard room was paid for but a disability-accessible room was provided. We requested to change it to a standard which was done immediately without any questions. No water bottles were provided in the room initially; they were only given on request and only two small bottles were provided. Additionally, the room cleaning service was unsatisfactory. Despite requesting it twice over 4 nights, the cleaner only changed the sheets once and neglected to take out the bins vacuum, replace towels or clean the bathroom. This was particularly disappointing given the length of my nearly week-long stay.
The breakfast was beautifully presented with various options but unfortunately remained the same every day lacking any variation. Some areas were particularly poor. For instance, the scrambled eggs had a distinct smell and were overly watery. Adding tomatoes or simply varying the options every few days would have improved the experience.
One concern we had was the cleaning team. Twice the cleaner used his universal card to enter our room without ensuring no one was present. My partner was in the shower and our young baby was asleep. We heard a knock but were unable to reach the door in time. Upon reaching it we realised he was already entering. This occurred twice and on the following day we decided to chain the door for privacy reasons.
In other hotels we have stayed in, privacy is of the utmost concern for staff and they would never even risk opening someone’s locked door without making sure. A better system needs to be in place here.

Guest UserIt was a simple overnight stop as I was going to a wedding. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The room was a standard double, had a very comfortable bed, a lovely shower area and everything was very clean.
Breakfast was an additional cost but well worth it with a god range of choices and no limit to what you could have.
I would recommend the hotel.

My man told me the doors locked yet there wasn’t any batteries to make functional, he also said I looked like a stoner n can happily smoke ****, so I took upon his request and enjoyed my stay to the fullest, was beneficial of the pricing range as the cost was no more then a 3.5 per bedroom
As for the the essential part of the trip, my associate commandeered a new sleeping partner,
So many thanks to the OUO house members for letting us stay in Middleton 😘
