Amazing
DDruchiiHaving enjoyed a previous stay in February, I chose to return this July. I requested an east-facing room and was delighted that my wish was granted. The sunrise view towards the Skytree and the National Diet Building around 4:30 AM in summer is absolutely breathtaking, easily rivaling any dedicated observation deck experience. The Japanese set breakfast was both substantial and delicious, and the serene view of pine trees reflected in the restaurant's pond was incredibly soothing. Furthermore, perhaps owing to its prime location near the National Diet Building and the Prime Minister's Official Residence, the hotel offers incredibly convenient direct underground access to public transportation, yet the street-level environment remains remarkably quiet and tranquil. The staff were exceptionally courteous and friendly, and the presence of Chinese-speaking personnel ensures that Chinese guests will face virtually no language barriers. On a delightful side note, the ambient fragrance used in The Capitol Hotel Tokyu's corridors is utterly captivating – I highly recommend making it available for purchase at the hotel's souvenir shop! I will absolutely be rebooking here for my next trip to Tokyo.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent — just 5 minutes’ walk to Asakusa Temple and around 10 minutes to Tokyo Skytree. The train station is conveniently located right opposite the hotel, making transportation very easy. The surrounding area is vibrant, with plenty of eateries, shops, pharmacies, and things to explore. Truly a lively and convenient place to stay. However, service from the hotel staff was just average. The room was quite small and didn’t allow us to fully open our luggage, which was a bit inconvenient. The breakfast selection was disappointing. Overall, it's a good choice if location is your priority, but there’s room for improvement in service, room space, and food quality.

VVonvonneI really enjoyed my stay at Odakyu Hotel Century Southern Tower. The location is incredibly convenient — just a short walk from Shinjuku Station, making it easy to get around Tokyo. My room was clean, comfortable and larger than I expected for Tokyo, and the city view from the high floor was wonderful. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. One thing to note: the lobby is located on the 20th floor, so you’ll need to take two lifts each time (street level → lobby → guest floors).

JjudaeaThe hotel's location is superb, a quiet haven amidst the city's buzz, with Shinjuku's main commercial area within walking distance. Airport bus stops and subway stations are also just a few minutes' walk away. As expected, the hotel's cleanliness was up to Japanese standards. The service was attentive; upon check-in, the air conditioning had already been turned on, creating a comfortable environment. Toiletries provided were from P*OLA, and other personal care items were available for self-collection. Highly recommended; it will be my top choice for my next stay.

ZZhengzhuoxiahuashuoyanjingThe hotel is conveniently located just a few hundred meters from Akihabara Station, a short walk from the JR exit. The front desk has English-speaking staff to assist with check-in. If you sign up as a member during check-in, you can choose between a gashapon or a 1-hour late check-out. Japanese hotel rooms are generally small, but they are impeccably clean. Most hotels in Tokyo don't offer complimentary bottled water, but the front desk gave us two bottles upon arrival, and the tap water is potable. Each floor also has vending machines and microwaves, though the hotel's vending machines only accept cash, no card payments. Breakfast is served next to the front desk, but it's not very appealing to a Chinese palate. However, there are plenty of Starbucks and convenience stores nearby where you can grab a bite. The hotel's soundproofing is excellent; despite being right next to the railway, it's not noisy at all.

Ssummer2018Everything was excellent, aside from the room being a bit on the small side. It's incredibly close to Senso-ji Temple, just a 3-5 minute walk away. The subway station is a little further, but still manageable. There's a 7-Eleven convenience store conveniently located nearby. The front desk thoughtfully provided DHC facial cleanser and basic skincare items, and we received complimentary bottled water daily. Our first day's check-in was self-service. On the day of our departure, there was a staff member at the front desk who spoke Chinese, which was very helpful. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

GGuest UserKeio Plaza Hotel Tokyo is situated in an excellent location and is very convenient for getting around. The staff are highly professional and extremely helpful. I was struggling with my shopping bags, and when a staff member noticed me, he quickly came over to assist without being asked. I would also like to commend another staff member at the information counter, though I unfortunately did not catch his name. When I asked for directions to a train station to visit the Making of Harry Potter, he kindly offered to walk me all the way to the station. As it was my first time staying at this hotel, I was truly grateful for his assistance. The room I booked included access to the Sky Lounge, which had an awesome view and was an excellent place to relax. Entry was complimentary for hotel guests, while non-guests have to pay. Drinks and Starbucks coffee were also available for free, which was a nice bonus. I am very much looking forward to staying at this hotel again.

CCleav3rI've always been a loyal fan of Ascott, but the Ascott Tokyo really left me speechless. Upon check-in, we were informed that the entire building would have a power outage on our last day, meaning all guests had to vacate their rooms before noon. What's more, luggage storage wasn't allowed, so we had to drag our five suitcases ourselves to the JR Tokyo Station, about a 10-minute walk away, and pay 5000 yen to store them. The hotel offered no compensation or even assistance with transporting the luggage to the station. Even more outrageous, the power went out twice in the middle of the night that day, causing the washing machine to stop mid-cycle and forcing us to rewash a whole load of clothes. Additionally, the power outage was announced to start at noon, but breakfast wasn't served at all that morning. At check-in, the front desk staff had us register for a new ASR membership and gave us breakfast vouchers, promising they could be used any day, yet when we tried to use them, breakfast wasn't available? What a joke. Please note, we were only informed of this entire power outage incident upon check-in. Why wasn't this communicated in advance? A power outage affecting the entire building is a major event, and the hotel must have known about it well in advance. If we had been notified earlier, we would have had time to choose another hotel. Instead, the hotel's complete inaction left us with no other options upon arrival. This is completely unacceptable in Japan, a country known for its excellent customer service!

HHuajuangcyI almost overlooked this hotel after reading so many reviews. The room is indeed quite small, especially for the price of over 1000 yen, but that's pretty normal for Ginza, Tokyo. However, it boasts a natural hot spring. While not huge, it's still comfortable for a soak. The highlight, though, is definitely the small bar in the evening. I saw a sign that says non-guests can use the hot spring and bar for 5000 yen, so it's a really good deal for those staying there. It's completely self-service, but the breakfast, a single pastry and a bowl of soup, is a bit disappointing for the price. On the first floor, you can choose your pillow and there are many toiletries available. The transportation is also very convenient; a single bus from the airport takes you to Ginza, and then it's just an 800-meter walk to the hotel. The front desk also offers facial masks, and the staff were lovely.

GGuest UserGood location, near Tokyo Big Sight. Very convenient for business travellers or conference participants. Polite and friendly hotel staff. Small clean room with excellent breakfast. Limited amenities in the hotel, as it is more like a business hotel. Food options are available within the hotel and nearby malls. Not forgetting the Gundam statue nearby.
