Amazing
DDruchiiHaving enjoyed a previous stay in February, I chose to return this July. I requested an east-facing room and was delighted that my wish was granted. The sunrise view towards the Skytree and the National Diet Building around 4:30 AM in summer is absolutely breathtaking, easily rivaling any dedicated observation deck experience. The Japanese set breakfast was both substantial and delicious, and the serene view of pine trees reflected in the restaurant's pond was incredibly soothing. Furthermore, perhaps owing to its prime location near the National Diet Building and the Prime Minister's Official Residence, the hotel offers incredibly convenient direct underground access to public transportation, yet the street-level environment remains remarkably quiet and tranquil. The staff were exceptionally courteous and friendly, and the presence of Chinese-speaking personnel ensures that Chinese guests will face virtually no language barriers. On a delightful side note, the ambient fragrance used in The Capitol Hotel Tokyu's corridors is utterly captivating – I highly recommend making it available for purchase at the hotel's souvenir shop! I will absolutely be rebooking here for my next trip to Tokyo.
CCleopatraqueenIt’s difficult to find big bed for family of 3. Tobu hotel got big bed for single twin. Room also relatively bigger than the ordinary norm in Tokyo. Bath tub also bigger based on my experience in Japan. Location wise close to 7-11, many restaurants and Izakaya. You can always go down n get ur tummy full at any time. Hotel Just beside Asakusa station. I have no complaints and service is good. Staff always greet n welcome you. Free coffee all day at level 3. Happy to choose Tobu hotel again if I come back with my kids.

GGuest UserThe hotel stay is wonderful. The hotel is huge with an enormous lobby, looks sleek, and is classy with the dim light. The lobby is located at 20th floor, no comments on the bf as I only booked the room without bf. Check in and out are effortless. Staff is friendly and approachable. Amenities in room are plentiful and abundant. All shampoo, conditioner and bath lotion come in big bottles so it is more than sufficient for use. Inside bathroom, you can control the volume and listen to the TV you on outside so it is very useful. In room has the Alexa which you can easily communicate with it for anything of interest to you. Besides, the hotel is very conveniently located, near to Shinjuku station and the nearby shopping malls. The room is huge and comes with bathtub and it has a balcony area too. Highly recommended for staying here in Tokyo. You will not regret definitely!

GGuest UserVery convenient just 5mins to Shinjuku Station. Very clean and most importantly, ample space to open our suitcase wide, seldom seen in most Tokyo hotels. Space is wisely designed for guests’ good usage. Tv many local and overseas channels. Totally value for money, will stay again for sure

WWoshixinxinya001The biggest highlight of this hotel is its impeccable location, right next to Akihabara Station, with multiple train lines converging, making it incredibly easy to access all parts of Tokyo. For visitors who love anime and electronics, the surrounding area is a huge draw. The hotel rooms are clean and tidy, and although small, they are cleverly laid out, typical of business hotels in Tokyo. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options and is well-received. However, some guests have reported issues such as others attempting to open their door late at night or minor cleanliness oversights in their rooms, so it's advisable to be a bit more vigilant during your stay. Overall, it's a practical choice for those prioritizing convenient transportation.

CCelyn BBRoom is clean and spacious. We stayed at the main block, newly renovated. It's rare to find such spacious room in Tokyo. Breakfast buffet was good, you can choose between Western / Japanese set meal and international buffet. The international buffet includes a wide spread of dishes, especially Japanese dishes. The hotel is about 15min walk away from the Kabukicho where all the happening bars and restaurants are. It was quite a walk from the JR Nex station to the hotel though, need to find the West Concourse and walk thru an underpass (see photo). The only ”complaint” I have is that the hotel needs to consider having more elevators, it's crowded in the morning and some guests couldn't get into the elevator. Usually a long queue for the elevators at the lobby floor.

SShuishafademaoThe room was a bit small, but thankfully I was traveling alone, so it was sufficient. The bathroom was very clean. It's super close to Senso-ji Temple, which makes getting around incredibly convenient. There are also plenty of shops nearby for dining and shopping. The hotel's rooftop is fantastic, offering a panoramic view of Senso-ji Temple.

CCleav3rI've always been a loyal fan of Ascott, but the Ascott Tokyo really left me speechless. Upon check-in, we were informed that the entire building would have a power outage on our last day, meaning all guests had to vacate their rooms before noon. What's more, luggage storage wasn't allowed, so we had to drag our five suitcases ourselves to the JR Tokyo Station, about a 10-minute walk away, and pay 5000 yen to store them. The hotel offered no compensation or even assistance with transporting the luggage to the station. Even more outrageous, the power went out twice in the middle of the night that day, causing the washing machine to stop mid-cycle and forcing us to rewash a whole load of clothes. Additionally, the power outage was announced to start at noon, but breakfast wasn't served at all that morning. At check-in, the front desk staff had us register for a new ASR membership and gave us breakfast vouchers, promising they could be used any day, yet when we tried to use them, breakfast wasn't available? What a joke. Please note, we were only informed of this entire power outage incident upon check-in. Why wasn't this communicated in advance? A power outage affecting the entire building is a major event, and the hotel must have known about it well in advance. If we had been notified earlier, we would have had time to choose another hotel. Instead, the hotel's complete inaction left us with no other options upon arrival. This is completely unacceptable in Japan, a country known for its excellent customer service!

Very Good
HHuajuangcyI almost overlooked this hotel after reading so many reviews. The room is indeed quite small, especially for the price of over 1000 yen, but that's pretty normal for Ginza, Tokyo. However, it boasts a natural hot spring. While not huge, it's still comfortable for a soak. The highlight, though, is definitely the small bar in the evening. I saw a sign that says non-guests can use the hot spring and bar for 5000 yen, so it's a really good deal for those staying there. It's completely self-service, but the breakfast, a single pastry and a bowl of soup, is a bit disappointing for the price. On the first floor, you can choose your pillow and there are many toiletries available. The transportation is also very convenient; a single bus from the airport takes you to Ginza, and then it's just an 800-meter walk to the hotel. The front desk also offers facial masks, and the staff were lovely.

Very Good
GGuest UserAll procedures are streamlined, making checking in and out run quickly and smoothly. We got the type of room we asked for without a problem. There is also an excellent locker system for storing luggage. Very good location for several attractions we were interested in, as well as close to international cruise terminal. Several restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!
