Hotel near Ueno/Asakusa/Ryougoku,Tokyo
With a stay at Asakusa View Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Tokyo, steps from Hanayashiki Amusement Park and within a 5-minute walk of Kitchen Town. This 4-star hotel is 0.6 mi (1 km) from Sensō-ji Temple and 1.4 mi (2.3 km) from Tokyo Skytree. Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as an indoor pool, or other amenities including complimentary wireless Internet access and concierge services. Additional features at this hotel include a hair salon, wedding services, and a vending machine. Enjoy international cuisine at Musashi, one of the hotel's 2 restaurants, or stay in and take advantage of the room service (during limited hours). Snacks are also available at the coffee shop/cafe. Quench your thirst with your favorite drink at the bar/lounge. Buffet breakfasts are available daily from 7:00 AM to 10 AM for a fee. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Make yourself at home in one of the 326 air-conditioned rooms featuring refrigerators and LCD televisions. Complimentary wired and wireless Internet access keeps you connected, and digital programming provides entertainment. Private bathrooms with shower/tub combinations feature deep soaking bathtubs and complimentary toiletries. Conveniences include phones, as well as safes and desks.

"The hotel boasts an excellent location; it's a mere ten-minute walk from Tawaramachi Station, exit 3 (stairs only). If you have luggage, I'd recommend using exit 1. The room with a Skytree view was very spacious, easily accommodating four large suitcases. Directly across from the hotel is Ichiran Ramen, and Senso-ji Temple is just a short stroll away. There's also DONKI and Uniqlo nearby, and it's convenient for shopping in Ginza and Omotesando. My main complaint is that the cleaning staff turns off the power in the room. The fruit I had in the fridge and the refrigerated food I bought from 7-Eleven all went bad. If saving electricity means the fridge can't be used, why not provide an extra power card at check-in?!"

"The hotel boasts extremely convenient transportation, just a 10-minute walk from the subway station. It's perfectly situated in Yokohama Chinatown, offering abundant dining options with plenty of Chinese restaurants. As an established 5-star hotel, the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and the facilities are equally upscale and impressive. They even offer services in Chinese. Plus, it's only a 5-minute stroll to the seaside and Yamashita Park. I would absolutely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Yokohama. The rooms are quite spacious, especially for Japanese standards."

Outstanding
DDruchiiHaving enjoyed a previous stay in February, I chose to return this July. I requested an east-facing room and was delighted that my wish was granted. The sunrise view towards the Skytree and the National Diet Building around 4:30 AM in summer is absolutely breathtaking, easily rivaling any dedicated observation deck experience. The Japanese set breakfast was both substantial and delicious, and the serene view of pine trees reflected in the restaurant's pond was incredibly soothing. Furthermore, perhaps owing to its prime location near the National Diet Building and the Prime Minister's Official Residence, the hotel offers incredibly convenient direct underground access to public transportation, yet the street-level environment remains remarkably quiet and tranquil. The staff were exceptionally courteous and friendly, and the presence of Chinese-speaking personnel ensures that Chinese guests will face virtually no language barriers. On a delightful side note, the ambient fragrance used in The Capitol Hotel Tokyu's corridors is utterly captivating – I highly recommend making it available for purchase at the hotel's souvenir shop! I will absolutely be rebooking here for my next trip to Tokyo.

LLazgolfWe booked Park Hyatt very last minute due to issue with our original hotel that we booked in Tokyo. We travelled with a 3 & 4 years old and the hotel was amazing. The playground across the hotel is a big plus. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel very welcome and the process was very seamlessly. We left the first hotel fairly early and knew we couldn't get into the room but our plan was to go through Shinjuku and knew we wouldn't be back until later that day. The hotel lobby is on the 41st floor, you can see the entire city view and at night the sight is amazing. The hotel location is about a 15min walk to Shinjuku station which is not bad and there is a shuttle that runs every 30min as well. Concierge was very helpful with everything during our stay. Breakfast service was professional and efficient. The staff were very friendly with kids and not snobbish at all. The hotel is an iconic place, most of the time we took a taxi or delivery they know the hotel by name. I highly recommend anyone that would like to pamper themselves in Tokyo. The hotel is a bit dated by the upkeep of the hotel is very good. Only thing that was a bit annoying was the light switches since it's not modern you can't control some lights individually.

FFeizhouwangziLocation: Exiting Shibuya station, there's ongoing construction, so you might need a moment to find your bearings, but it's not difficult to locate, situated directly opposite Tokyo Plaza. Facilities: The hotel is very modern, featuring a spacious lobby and relatively new room amenities. It comes equipped with a full set of L'Occitane toiletries, and as a delightful surprise, we also received an SK-II morning and evening skincare sample set upon check-in. Environment: The view from the window is absolutely stunning, both by day and night. I snapped a quick photo, and it honestly looks like a perfect backdrop for a blogger's video – haha! Service: The front desk check-in service was excellent. However, for a hotel of this standard, the breakfast quality felt a bit basic, with limited options. Coffee and tea had to be brought by staff – I'm not sure if that was meant to make guests feel more pampered or exclusive. Overall, the breakfast was just average, but everything else was great.

PPho3beLiThis time, I stayed at The Peninsula Tokyo with my daughter for a vacation and felt happy and satisfied, especially with the attentive facilities and staff. Coincidentally, since our departure date fell on a weekend, the hotel specially opened the 24th-floor Peter for guests to have breakfast, allowing us to enjoy a panoramic view of the Palace in the morning. However, the meal presentation service there seemed not as attentive as in the lobby restaurant or room service. I hope to try it again next time to experience it better.

AAnonymous UserFacilities: I really enjoyed the European-style decor; the hotel is exceptionally well-managed and maintained. The ground floor cafe is a lovely spot for afternoon tea. Cleanliness: Housekeeping is thorough – just remember to put out the 'Please make up room' sign before you head out each day. Ambiance: The 32sqm room was spacious and comfortable, never felt crowded. Service: Upon arrival, the front desk staff immediately offered a wet wipe, which was a very thoughtful touch. They were always smiling and polite, and even delivered my luggage to the room. Breakfast: The breakfast on the 2nd floor was mediocre, but the buffet in the basement (B1) with both Western and Japanese options was quite satisfactory. Transportation: The hotel has a direct underground connection to Shimbashi Subway Station, which is incredibly handy when you're lugging suitcases. Shimbashi is a major transportation hub, offering extremely convenient access to the Yurikamome Line, Shinkansen, and various subway lines, making it perfect for shopping in Ginza and beyond. Location: Additionally, there are numerous convenience stores, pharmacies, food streets, and a lively bar street nearby, making it super convenient for late-night snacks and shopping. Plus, Ginza, including Mitsukoshi Department Store, is only about a 10-minute walk away.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent. Right outside the restaurant on B2, there's a subway entrance. It's also within walking distance of Shinjuku's central area. The hotel as a whole is clean and tidy, and the rooms are larger than many Japanese hotels, offering high-quality toiletries. Breakfast has a wide variety of options. Rooms on the south side of the hotel's South Tower face the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, offering views of Mount Fuji during the day and a light show at night. You can walk to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No. 1 and go up to the free observation deck on the 52nd floor for a night view of Tokyo. Overall, a very good stay. Especially suitable for family trips.

GGuest UserClean hotel, nice view and friendly staff. Supermarket next door, close to bus and train line. Only issue certain dates pool availability is only 1pm to 5pm and no children under 16 after 5pm. This make it extremely difficult to utilise the pool at the end of a day. The cost to use the pool was very expensive $120 AUD for 1 x Adult and 2 x Child per use.

__CFT010000001137****I was a bit worried about the environment after reading some reviews before my trip, but my actual experience was really great! The room wasn't particularly old, and with the tower view, it felt quite stylish. The service was also good, and I especially want to thank the front desk for arranging such a wonderful room for me. The only downside is that the transportation isn't super convenient; it's a bit of a walk from the subway station (though taxis are readily available). Overall, a perfect Tokyo trip!

CCleav3rI've always been a loyal fan of Ascott, but the Ascott Tokyo really left me speechless. Upon check-in, we were informed that the entire building would have a power outage on our last day, meaning all guests had to vacate their rooms before noon. What's more, luggage storage wasn't allowed, so we had to drag our five suitcases ourselves to the JR Tokyo Station, about a 10-minute walk away, and pay 5000 yen to store them. The hotel offered no compensation or even assistance with transporting the luggage to the station. Even more outrageous, the power went out twice in the middle of the night that day, causing the washing machine to stop mid-cycle and forcing us to rewash a whole load of clothes. Additionally, the power outage was announced to start at noon, but breakfast wasn't served at all that morning. At check-in, the front desk staff had us register for a new ASR membership and gave us breakfast vouchers, promising they could be used any day, yet when we tried to use them, breakfast wasn't available? What a joke. Please note, we were only informed of this entire power outage incident upon check-in. Why wasn't this communicated in advance? A power outage affecting the entire building is a major event, and the hotel must have known about it well in advance. If we had been notified earlier, we would have had time to choose another hotel. Instead, the hotel's complete inaction left us with no other options upon arrival. This is completely unacceptable in Japan, a country known for its excellent customer service!
