I had a very pleasant stay at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo. The service throughout the hotel was fantastic and the staff genuinely go out of their way to help.
The breakfast was a highlight. There is a very big variety and great choice of options, which made mornings enjoyable and convenient.
At one point the phone in our room stopped working. I went to reception to inform them and they immediately sent a technician. The issue was fixed in under 10 minutes, which shows how efficient and responsive the team is.
Room service was also very accommodating. I was travelling alone with my daughter and the staff made extra effort to make everything easy and comfortable for us.
Overall a great experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

ZZorpaI stayed a wonderful couple of days at Colombo Court. The hotel is lovely and the room spacious and very comfortable. The staff are really friendly, helpful and there is always someone around if you need anything. I had a wonderful massage at the spa as well, which really added to the luxury experience. I would absolutely stay here again!

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is close to the sea, but buildings block the view, so you can't really see it. It's very close to the mini-train along the coast, and there are supermarkets and malls nearby, which is quite convenient. I arrived two hours early, and they allowed me to check in ahead of time. While I waited, they even offered me a glass of juice. Surprisingly, they didn't charge me the extra $3+ that I was supposed to pay on-site (I reminded the staff, but after checking, they told me it wasn't necessary). I booked a two-meal package, both buffets. The dinner selection seemed less extensive than breakfast, perhaps because fewer people booked it. A bit of a mix-up happened because I wasn't told the dining times, so I went for dinner before 7 PM. The restaurant was completely empty. Later, I saw on a screen that dinner apparently starts at 7 PM, but the staff member just let me in without explanation – which honestly gave me a very good feeling about their service. The room was spacious, and the type I booked surprisingly had two beds pushed together to form a super-king size. The soundproofing with the next room was pretty good; the people next door were playing music from check-in until after 10 PM, but I could only hear a faint sound once the street quieted down. That's acceptable. Sometimes the street noise was quite noticeable, but my tolerance for ambient street noise is higher than my tolerance for noise from neighboring rooms. The pool is on the top floor, and so is the restaurant. As an introvert, I'm not a big fan of this design. Overall, the stay was quite comfortable and offered excellent value for money.

IIbrahim AzlifCinnamon Life truly lives up to its name as the City of Dreams! The facilities are world-class, offering everything you could possibly need and more. There are plenty of dining options with excellent food outlets to choose from. The gym is well-equipped and maintained, perfect for keeping up with your fitness routine during your stay.
The pool area is spotless and inviting, with attentive onsite lifeguards ensuring safety at all times. The poolside bar is a great place to relax and unwind a perfect spot to chill out after a busy day.
Cinnamon Life is more than just a hotel; it’s a full-fledged business and entertainment centre that has everything under one roof. I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning!

CCJ12A beautiful building in a very pleasant area of Colombo; the architecture and interior design of the hotel are a joy to behold and the vast majority of staff are polite and courteous. Plenty of amenities nearby to suit all tastes and interests. The breakfasts were great both mornings (both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the Western style), and they really lived up to the high expectations we’d had from the Instagram marketing we’d seen.
We were upgraded to the North West Suite, which was a larger room, for which we were greatly appreciative; a couple of issues with working plugs and appliances (coffee machine and hair dryer) were reported and rectified, although the wiring/plugs more broadly were temperamental and poorly placed (as expected, possibly, with the charm of an older hotel). However, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the bathroom was well appointed.
Our only qualm was with the overzealous Head of Housekeeping, who seemed to not grasp the subtlety required for such a role, or the privacy with which guests might like to enjoy the beautiful hotel. It appeared that he lingered all too often in search of a tip, and didn’t quite appreciate the boundaries one might desire when paying a reasonable fee for each night. My wife and I took to speedily locking the door and placing the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the handle to keep his incessant interrupting to a minimum. His deputy was, however, an asset to the hotel, who seemed to comprehend the subtle art of providing high quality service for a luxury stay in a lovely hotel.
All-in-all, a great choice for a hotel in the heart of Colombo, and hopefully, during a busier season, the aforementioned Head of Housekeeping might spread his overbearing attention across the many rooms of the hotel.

Facilities: There's a stunning 'heavenly' pool, and a chain coffee shop conveniently located next to the hotel.

GGuest UserI had a truly beautiful and memorable experience staying at this hotel. From the very first moment, you sense its special atmosphere—a place with history, character, and its own unique atmosphere. The ocean view is simply incredible, one of those that stays in your memory for a long time. The sound of the waves, the sunsets, and the overall sense of space and air create a feeling of relaxation and fulfillment.
The hotel grounds are pleasant and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. I'd especially like to highlight the location—it's truly exceptional and one of its main advantages.
At the same time, there's a feeling that the hotel lacks some consistency in its service and attention to detail. In places, it feels like this space has much greater potential than it currently has. This doesn't completely ruin the experience, but it does create a slight contrast between the atmosphere and the level of service.
Overall, this is a place with a beautiful soul, strong energy, and a unique location. With a more attentive and refined approach to service, it could be truly outstanding.
