4-Star Hotels in Colombo

This is a really fancy hostel! It seems like it was originally built as a high-end hotel, so the lobby, rooms, and bathrooms are all top-notch. They even have floor-to-ceiling windows with amazing views. It's a bit far from the city center, but a taxi ride is no more than 15 minutes. There are some restaurants and supermarkets nearby, which makes daily life very convenient.

Room: The room is fully equipped and spacious, with an open view. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area. Plus, there's room service available, so you can still get food even if you arrive late. Facilities: There's a stunning 'heavenly' pool, and a chain coffee shop conveniently located next to the hotel. Service: The front desk staff are friendly and polite.

One of the more affordable hotels, but for me a very good one in a great location. The staff was very friendly—truly exceptionally nice. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the breakfast was very good. There was nothing to complain about, and I would definitely come back. Especially worth mentioning are the manager, who personally takes care of guests and explains the important things in the room, and the “breakfast chef,” who even opened breakfast earlier than scheduled while I was waiting. Thank you—I really felt well taken care of as a guest.

I stayed three nights at Fairway Colombo and the hotel delivered a modern, efficient experience. Housekeeping was punctual and unobtrusive. The hotel’s location near the Dutch Hospital area made it easy to access dining and attractions on foot. Overall, Fairway Colombo provides a smart, contemporary stay with good service and a unique tech-focused touch. A strong option for both business and leisure travelers looking for convenience and modern comfort.

I recently stayed at Anarva Hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to ensure I felt welcome and comfortable. The rooms were modern, spacious, and impeccably clean, with beautiful decor that added to the relaxing atmosphere. The amenities, especially the spa and pool area, were top-notch, providing the perfect place to unwind. The hotel’s location was ideal, offering easy access to nearby attractions, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. I also have to mention the dining experience—delicious food with a great variety of local and international options. Every meal was a treat! Overall, Anarva Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

My room was the one with little balcony, conveniently for someone who smokes. But it was filthy and lots of bird ****, looks like housekeeping doesn’t include that area. My room was on the 4th floor, there was also mosquitos in the room.

A good value hotel . Nice pool on the roof with a nice bar. It's in a very convenient location, near the Bambalapitiya railway station and some decent shops. Unfortunately the service was poor , they would take the towels away whilst cleaning the room and not replace them, I had to keep chasing the cleaners and reception to get towels . The balcony door had no lock or latch in it so it was open all the time and at night time that let the mosquitos in . Overall though it was value for money .

Mount Lavinia Hotel used to be so good - not anymore. AC's dont work properly. Phones in room dont work, they give a mobile number to call instead. House keeping takes ages to come. Not the Great hotel we once knew anymore.

All the staff were very kind. The view from rhe room was also amazing. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
