My boyfriend and I stayed here for four nights, the room was clean and staff were very friendly. There was a fridge in the room, wifi throughout, pool on the top deck and a nice little balcony where you can smoke. Also really comfy pillows which is always a bonus when you've been staying in budget places for a while and haven't had comfort. Not a bad location and tuk tuks are waiting outside to take you where you want to go for cheap prices. Reception is manned 24/7 which is also nice to have in case of any problems. They have stopped providing breakfast ever since covid which is a shame. They also offer a laundry service but its much cheaper to take it two doors down where they only charge $1 per kg instead of price per item like this hotel does.
RS II Guesthouse

Booked via Agoda for $10 a night. same place as Diamond Palace II/RS II Opposite the park. 2 rows of 4 rooms with the ones at the front having a view the ones at the back are quieter. The stairs are a bit steep. There's no lift. I got a small but decent sized room for 1 person. Wifi was good. There were 2 bottles of water in the room. I put them in the fridge (which was unplugged, doh!). Some of the plug sockets were a bit dodgy in the room. I asked to be moved to another room. This one was better. Most of the plug sockets worked and there was a wardrobe and it was on the 2nd floor.

We reserved a suite and a connecting room for our children. It felt as if we were in a flat. We stayed one week. We asked for a view on the Royal Palace, which I highly recommend. Hotel is very new and extremely comfortable and luxurious, staff very friendly and professional. Special mention for Sotheavy Hem in the breakfast lounge, dynamic and always ready to help and to the enthusiastic Srini. As othet reviews mentioned hotel is ideally placed. Hotel was above my expectations and I can only recommend to stay there.
Hotel Kvl

It’s never easy to choose a place to stay, but HOTEL KVL never turn me down. I’ve been staying there a few times with different room type. I love all the facilities and designation. Room is clean & good smell. Relaxing and peace. Staffs are very friendly, especially, the beautiful FOM “Nhean Sateka”. She is very helpful and friendly. Moreover, the foods and beverages at HOTEL KVL are delicious and acceptable price. You may enjoy eating & having coffee/tea with riverside sunrise/sunset/night view from your room or at Up by KVL (rooftop sky bar). They have coffee shop, the Alchemist, Skylight restaurant, Eltapas. You also enjoy the benefit gym at Vertical Gym. That’s all from my sharing, I bet you should try at least once at HOTEL KVL, you will be back again.

The Bright Lotus Guesthouse , Riverside, Phnom Penh.  I was very comfortable in my top floor room. It's a large en suite twin bedroom . Satellite TV, kettle, fridge and desk. Free 2x bottle water too. Hot water shower, AC and/or fan. I highly recommend.  Sam and his wife are very friendly, helpful and informative too.
